Called yet again

Called yet again. After multiple tries finally got through. Yet again like last time some bloke answers the phone "Hello", so you dont even know if you have the right number. So unprofessional, never mind the no-show, the no phone call and no explanation why the appt was cancelled. I'm going to be telling my Energy supplier about this, as I'm sure there'd be many companies better suited, more competent, and very happy to win the contract

A Truly Shambolic Company

How on earth ScottishPower continue to use this shambolic company (Calisen) is mind boggling. They are useless and that is being generous.
I had an appointment at 14:00 - 18:00 in early December 2024. The engineer turned up at approx 16:00, he started by proceeding to the toilet where he left a turd the size of a small hill.
He stayed in the toilet for half an hour after which he started replacing the electric meter with a smart meter.
He told me that the gas meter could not be replaced as it was too dark!! He also said he did not have the right tools and I should make another appointment.
Its summer 2025 and I arranged for an engineer to replace the gas meter on the 25th July.
No engineer appeared, I received a call to say the engineer is not available (apparently they were fixing problems from the previous day) so it was rearranged for 1st August.
Come 1st August and not supprisingly no engineer. After this episode I had had enough and told Calisen to take a long walk off a short plank. I would rather manually read the meter and pay the bill every month.

Bunch of monkeys

Bunch of monkeys, was asked to contact them to get a new meter installed, was told someone would contact me to arrange a time, no one has, and now they don't answer their phone.

Would give zero if I could.

Would give zero if I could.
Had a 4hr slot 10-2
The property is literally empty so I sat there for 4.5hrs (got there early just in case) waiting and he never turned up. Never mind the fact it was 1hr drive each way to get there!

And try phoning them! If you're lucky enough to get through they answer the phone "hello" no company name or anything, so you wonder if you have the right number.

Rude.

Useless company!

Between 8am and 12noon was booked in for Smart meter on 8.7.25 . Booking was done about a month before. Have been bombarded with emails and text to remind me of the booking and warned of a fee to pay if the date proves abortive. I moved everything for easy access a few days before. I took the day off.
Engineer did not turn up. No tel call to advice non attendance.
Utility warehouse need to cancel their contract!!!

Bad service

Between 12 and 4pm was booked in for Smart meter . Booking was done about a month before. Have been bombarded with emails and text to remind me of the booking . 3.27pm on the day with everything moved for easy access, I get call to say engineer can't make it. Was pushing for me to make next appointment. I have disabilities and a son that lives with us with disabilities and so dates have to be pre planned. Won't be booking again for them not to turn up. Scottishpower need to cancel their contract!!!

One star is way too generous for this


One star is way too generous for this bunch ... was supposed to have a smart meter upgrade today between 10am / 2pm , engineer calls me at 8am wanting to come early ( Friday innit ) I said I wouldn't be there til 10 am as agreed, then just doesn't bother turning up at all , no phone call, no email , no apology .
Just totally cack all round .

Didint arrive for the appointment.

The appointment was booked weeks in advance and a week before the appointment I got a call to go through all the things again that they had asked at the time of the appointment. I was told I would get a text the day of the appointment which was booked for 12-1pm on the 3rd July 25. I heard nothing and at 1:30 I sent an email to customer service after which I had a mail asking again for my address and post code. At 15:15pm I had a call to say they were stuck at a previous job and wouldn’t be able to make today’s appointment. They apparently have problems at the previous job which meant they could not contact me or their office. I hope that doesn’t mean that the previous appointment hasn’t been without power for over three hours. Looking at Trustpilot this is a common occurrence so I am not going to book another appointment. Even last week Calisen came to read the meter and two days later came again as they said the previous reading was lost. Sounds a great company. I had turned down another very important appointment to accommodate this meeting which annoys me immensely.

A Truly Terrible Company

This is a truly awful company. I suggest Scottish Power move their business.
First appointment engineer came on the wrong day.
Second appointment engineer did not turn up.
Third appointment waited in all afternoon only for appointment to be cancelled at last minute. No explanation.
Fourth appointment: we shall see.

When all this is over I will be moving supplier from Scottish Power.

Cancel meter swaps at last minute

No names mentioned so you know its a real review . Cancel meter swaps at last minute . 2nd month of waiting then they simply ring or text you saying they won't be coming . They probably still charge scottishpower as if they've done some work. My meters are faulty but there is no rush to swap them while I'm overpaying , cancelled my dd now so they can beg me for it. Don't use scottishpower . No support cometh.

Been waiting weeks for my supplier to


Been waiting weeks for my supplier to send an engineer to fix my smart meter. Scott B came to my property and identified a leak, fixed the leak and installed a new meter for me. He let me know given the age of my boiler that there would be issues in potentially relighting it. He did identify that my pressure was low and contacted Cadent. Cadent arrived and requested he stay to light my boiler. He did and relit my boiler and Cadent rectified the pressure. Scott is an invaluable asset to this company and really went above and beyond.

Last minute cancellation appalling handling of personal information

Was due to have a smart meter fitted between 12 and 4 pm, at 3:30 pm they called to say they aren't coming due to operational reasons. The person on the other end could not have been less interested or enthusiastic. Almost sounded like he was going to sleep. Also, really do not appreciate them calling and then asking for my personal information, and when I push back, they quote it is because of GDPR. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a European Union law focused on data privacy and protection. It outlines rules for how organisations can collect, use, and manage personal data. So, not really the best reason. Shambles and rubbish to deal with.

Smart meter installation.

Was due to have smart meter fitted in September 2024,calisen phoned me to say they will not come on that day, gave me a new date may 8th 2025, I made a call to them 2 days before hand, office told me they had no availability for my Area so would not be attending, so I am in limbo, this is shambles.

Two reasons for my rating:

Two reasons for my rating:
1. Calisan arrived when they said they would and the engineer phoned 5 minutes before arrival.
2. The engineer, Joel, was quick clean and had a fantastic character with a huge broad grin. He was a very pleasant guy and a credit to your company.

Appointment booked for between 12pm and


Appointment booked for between 12pm and 4pm on 12-06-2025. Phoned at 2.30pm to say not coming, no appogy, no explanation, no compensation. Next appointment July! Wasted day. Spent all day emptying kitchen and hallway for easy installation access as requested. Then had to put it all back. I think Scottish Power should look elsewhere for a more reliable company.

Calisen delivering the contract on
smart meter

Calisen delivering the contract on smart meters for scottish power. Communication between the 2 organisations is poor. I gave up 2 of my days to wait for engineers to attend to my electric smart meter and then the 2nd day for my gas smart meter, bearing in mind I had received an email to tell me these would be completed on the same day, but when the engineer arrived it was not on his job card. I managed to speak to an advisor from Calisen who i'm sure I woke up with my phone call and he was less than helpful, to be told that an engineer would have to return the next day and there was nothing else he could tell me, he had no manager to escalate it to, but gave me a complaints email that I may get a response to within 14 days! So i waited all day next day for an engineer (10-2) he arrived 13:30 to tell me that the system has been down all day and that he could not get a signal to my smart meter therefore would be unable to complete the job today and that an engineer would have to be rebooked.
I have added this to my original complaint but dont hold out much hope. Unbelievable that Scottish Power contract their masses of work out to this company who deliver such terrible service to their customers. I'm contemplating looking for a new energy company as they've been less than helpful too. 1 star I gave for the engineers, who were both very helpful and lovely lads, shame they have to work for these.

Poor service

Poor service. Do not recommend. Nobody has arrived at the appointment day, they have mixed up address and attended wrong one keep saying that they were at mine. Provided me proof with street name and postcode way different than mine telling me that engineer was walking from the postcode they provided. Pure disgrace and joke.
