We are a niche practice specialising in property and private client work. Carr Richards Solicitors was incorporated on 1 June 2013 following the demerger of Carr Hepburn Solicitors. David Richards set up the new firm to provide legal services to the local community drawing on established contacts from the last 30 years. The firm operates from an office in central Hemel Hempstead. All fee earners and support staff champion the concept that the ‘client is king’ and do everything possible to ensure that this is evidenced in the relationship with the client. The firm is a signatory to the Law Society’s Diversity and Inclusion Charter. The firm has been a member of the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme since it was authorised by the SRA in 2013. David Richards has sought to establish a friendly and flexible environment for both staff and clients in order to allow for outstanding levels of client service to be established and flourish. Carr Richards were brilliant

Carr Richards were recommended to us and we instructed them to be our solicitors for our house purchase. They were utterly amazing, from start to finish. They guided us every step of the way and took care of everything in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. Our conveyancer, Paul Stone, was incredibly helpful and went way beyond the call of duty. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Recommended for conveyancing

A good experience throughout for conveyancing - I found Paul Stone to be particularly helpful and very responsive. Service not lacking at all considering they were the cheapest of four quotes. Final charge was no more than quoted.

A mostly positive experience

Initially I didn’t have the greatest of experiences with lots of delays and mistruths which resulted in my chain coming close to breaking down.

Fortunately as soon as Paul Stone was assigned to my case he turned it completely around and we were exchanged and completed within a few weeks. Paul kept me constantly updated, answered all my silly questions and really did go the extra mile to push my purchase through; for which I am very grateful.
