once again cartime are back to there old tricks by selling dodgy cars . people need to take note of these reviews as they are all real and honest reviews. I've dealt with these on several occasions and each occasion is the same as the rest it's called lies from them . these guys have not got any ideas about car sales they are just people from around the community getting jobs with no qualifications or man management skills. they tell you they do a 120 point check that's totally lies and also they stick buget tyres on a 4 wheel drive suv and also spray your wheels with a can of spray . Just stay well clear as even the site manager tells lies aswell but he's good at that. cartime is the old car place what got closed down because of dodgy carsales tactics but then they changed there name to cartime take a look at the Rochdale branch because that's the original site we're it all went on it was called then carcraft .

Azhar was really helpful with my buying journey. Considering this was my first pcp car, no question or action was a bother for him. Really pleasant experience from initial enquiry to driving away. Only downside is you get moved around a lot between desk and waiting area!

Completely ripped off by this company. Came to collect my car, dropped the offered price by £800 (which I was already losing money on) claiming there were a whole load of issues. Log on the day after and it was listed on their website for £4000 more than they paid me. Impossible for them to have corrected the ‘issues’ they claimed. Absolute cowboys

Just bought my first electric car from Mohammed Hossein at Cartime Bury and customer service was second to none. Will definitely be back.

I couldn't go to see the car I chose as too far but paid for an RAC inspection which flagged up cam belt change overdue, rear tyres needed replacing. Cartime sales agreed to have this done. They told me once the work was done but were not too fast at sending me the itemised proof of work carried out. An email eventually arrived just as the car did, after a lot of reminders. It wasn't as expected, not a workshop job sheet possibly with part numbers. It was just a list of things that were done with a couple of extra items added that were not agreed on. The date at the top was a month before I even saw the car and it was on a sales invoice. This really concerned me as I started to doubt they had changed the cam belt. I emailed the service department asking them to send me a copy of the job sheet which in the end they said had been filed and then that they couldn't due to the data protection act !! Eventually because I kept on at them they said they would request it and see what bits I could have without breaching the act. This made me laugh.
Sorry this is a long one.
When the car arrived there was a warning light on for tyre pressure, never had such high tech before and studied the handbook.Then checked tyre pressures, the 2 new back ones had 30 bar in one and 27 in the other and should have been 2.2 !!!
Got that sorted then noted a scratch on the wing, a chip on the windscreen and damage to passenger side wing mirror. Worst of all was after a couple of days driving with the window down I could hear a metallic rattling under the car when going over bumps. I contacted the service department and they agreed for it to be looked at by my own garage and they would then have a look at what needed doing before agreeing to pay. Had to wait 2 weeks for my garage to look and yesterday the inspection showed the lower engine undertray had 2 missing retaining bolts and the right brake backplate was very loose. New bolts were put on and backplate secured and no more problems. It was fixed there and then so I paid as wasn't prepared to follow Cartime protocol and wait for them to ok the job.
Does this mean the lower engine undertray was taken off during replacement of the cam belt and bolts left off ? Did I get my proof in a roundabout manner ? I do hope so .

Shocking treatment of an elderly customer – 20 days to refund a same-day cancellation

My elderly mother bought a car from Cartime on 2nd September and was sold a 3-year warranty. She cancelled the warranty on the exact same day, well within her 14-day statutory rights, as the car already had 1 year of manufacturer warranty remaining.

What followed was three weeks of complete runaround. We were blatantly lied to by the Nelson salesmen and Bury accounts department, being passed back and forth with neither site taking responsibility. We were given endless excuses about refunds and were constantly told it had been processed when it hadn't.

As her son, I had to step in and get involved to actually get anywhere with them. It took me threatening them with formal escalation before a refund was finally issued on 22nd September—20 days after the cancellation.

To put an elderly customer through three weeks of stress for a simple statutory refund is completely unacceptable. Appalling communication and post-sale care—be very cautious if you ever buy a car from them and need something refunding.

Great, the man who sold me my new car was very friendly and the process was quick.

Salesman just do not get back to you. Once they have made the sale they don't care about you anymore. Still waiting for charger cables 5 days after delivery of vehicle. Car delivered with less than 15 miles on the battery and with no cables. Repeated attempts to try and find out what is happening are just ignored. When you try and phone Cartime and ask to speak to a manager you are told they won't put the call directly through. They will get a manager to call you back within 48 hours. Shows how much they care.

Absolute nightmare from the minute we put the deposit down. Car not ready no explanations no communication but that was nothing until it came time to refund the deposit we had paid. AVOID THIS COMPANY SIMPLE.

Very friendly staff. Felt taken care of all the way through the purchase.

Micheal Jackson was a really helpful gentleman. Couldn't do enough for me. Went of of his way to help all he could.
