I cannot recommend Brian and Castle Associates enough. They supported me through a grievance process against my former employer during one of the most stressful and difficult times in my life.

Brian was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate (a difficult mix to find nowadays), always ensuring I felt understood and supported. He always gave me the best advice—extremely honest and very economical. I would like to say thank you for arranging professional and supportive representation. I would not like to have faced a disciplinary on my own. The representative provided excellent advice and pointed me in the right direction when writing my script to use as mitigation during the hearing. Well worth it!

I was introduced to Castle Associates a couple of months ago and the process from beginning to end was seamless. I found them to be responsive, on-hand, transparent and very efficient. Saq is very knowledgable and professional and took care of the ‘heavy lifting’ for me, and I was given very clear, honest and effective advice from the first call which resulted in a very satisfactory outcome. Saqib Hussain is the best ever union representative! He is well versed in employment law policies, very professional, enthusiastic, dedicated and a reliable representative. If it wasn't for him I wouldn’t have been able to represent myself and go through the whole process of fighting for my justice. It was a long and mentally draining process especially as it was my first time that I had been through a disciplinary action but Saqib was very supportive throughout it all until I reached a positive outcome. I really couldn’t have done it without him!

I contacted castle associates for help with a disciplinary hearing from my sons work It was very complicated as he had suffered mental health issues because of the long prosses that work had put him through Castle Associates were very helpful and put him in touch with Ashley Well this man knows his stuff and he immediately took the pressure off my son he took over everything which helped him to cope and the out come was just right for him and his mental illness Now given him time to sort out his health and look forward to his future

REPLY: 1. Clearly we are unhappy about far more than the initial consultation - in fact, that union rep was the only helpful positive part of this absolutely shockingly poor experience 2. As clearly mentioned, the union rep said he would take notes and this is the most basic part of rep services provided by all other trade unions 3. Clearly the receptionist was not polite or professional. Or helpful 4. We declined when you eventually confirmed about a day or two beforehand that you wouldn't have any rep available until several weeks after the hearing 5. My complaint had all the substance - it's just easier for you to ignore it 6. You ask for fees to be paid upfront and before any service is provided - I think you'll find that is holding clients' money in escrow and it's concerning you can't recognise that 7. Your response is clear for all to see exactly what you are. Do you really want to keep digging?

ORIGINAL: Dreadful communicators. Unprofessional. Contradictory information. You get to speak briefly with one union rep but you are denied the opportunity to speak with the rep that is assigned to your case until you have signed contract (if you do decide to proceed with this company I firmly advise reading through those terms closely!!) and paid a minimum of £300 into escrow. The rep said he would take notes but the dreadful receptionist kept saying they wouldn't. They messed us about so much and left a family member without representation as they kept us waiting to find out if they had availability and then it became too late to find another. This is despite the obvious and emphasised urgency and regular follow up requests for information. They regularly got my name wrong. Raising a complaint was an absolute waste of time and the response I have been given by the 'Operations Director' paints a very clear picture of the type of business this is. A stark reminder that anyone can hold a senior management title these days! Recommend giving a wide berth - worst of the lot!

Brian L was amazing from start to finish. He captured the full picture of my situation from the first conversation and I immediately felt that full support from him. He was honest, very professional, showed empathy and was always on point. When I needed advice he was always at the end of the phone/email which is something you need when going through an unfamiliar situation without an answer on which way to turn. I recently found myself in an unexpected and unpleasant situation with my Employer, and needed a Trade Union representative to accompany me to a meeting. Trevor Knowles-Oluwu from Employees United Union very kindly agreed to attend with me at extremely short notice. From his initial introduction he gave me confidence and clearly demonstrated a wealth of experience and knowledge and was able to negotiate a positive outcome for me which I know wouldn't have been achieved without him being there. Brian Lashley at Employees United Union is without question one of the most professional and compassionate individuals I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with. Brain always has time for you whilst supplying speedy responses to boot!
