Carers are generally very helpful. Getting through to the office is a near impossibility, though! Weekly schedules are sporadic but there is an app, which is useful.

Cera Care Grampian provided end of life care to my Dad, enabling us to keep him at home, in his own comfortable surroundings, which has been a comfort to all the family.
It was a great help to us in his final days, and allowed us to sit with him, knowing the physical side of his care was taken care of.
The carers who attended were lovely; respectful, professional and always asked if there was anything else they could do before leaving.
It made a difficult time easier for me, particularly as the office staff (Zoe McKessick) arranged it all, ever so quickly and efficiently.

Cera carers cared for my mother for the past six months and I cannot fault the care that she received. Her carers were kind compassionate professional and always visited with a smile on their face giving her the time she needed. The Woodbridge team were always extremely helpful and Tafi Samson and Karen in particular were extremely caring and kind towards my mother. I honestly cannot fault the care she received before she died very peacefully in her own home and would recommend them highly . The carers made such a difference not only to my mothers life but to us as a family knowing she was so well cared for

Mum has late stage Alzheimers and the girls could not be kinder or more supportive, they get big smiles from mum every day, even when I canât! They, and the office crew have been a shoulder to cry on and somewhere to vent, they are just incredibly patient and Iâm so glad I found them having had bad experiences with other local companies. 5 stars is not enough xxx

Carers not arriving for the breakfast shift until midday. This is not the fault of the amazing carers. It is the fault of the company who fail to employ enough people to ensure cover for sickness, holidays and emergency leave. Elderly people left until midday is not acceptable.

Carers are not properly trained and neither are they caring towards the person in need. Twice now in the space of two weeks has a carer been in with a miserable face on arrival, not done the time assigned to them and left a 90yr old woman with dementia lying in a wet bed. On one occasion she had no clothes on. Some of them do not clear up after themselves with food on the floor and on the table, and the dirty plates etc not being taken away. Thatâs just the tip of the problems I have had. There have been:
Carers coming at a time that is convenient for them, up to an hour and a half early, not bothered if it is convenient for the client.
One time a carer came three and a half hours late (after 10pm), said he had to wait with a client for an ambulance. I gave him the benefit of the doubt but it was too late for my mother to get her care and when I phoned up the next day to say not to charge me for care that I didnât receive, I was told that I will be charged as the call was too late. Not even 24hrs! I also found out that he never had to wait for an ambulance.
One carer clocked in and then sat in the car outside for half an hour before caring for my mother showing he had been here for 48mins. He is supposed to be here for 30mins, so you do the maths on that one.
Having done a spreadsheet and keeping time of when carers are coming and how long they are here for, I found that over a space of four weeks, the time was 4hrs 47mins short. As a paying customer, that is an awful lot of money over a 12 month period that is lost.
One time a carer walked off with my front door key from the key safe. I never met this carer before. After two days, I had to change the locks as I couldnât leave an 89yr old woman alone while someone I didnât know had my front door key. I was told âall our carers are CRB checked and nothing would have happened'. That is a joke. All it means is that they might not have been caught yet and who in their right mind would let a stranger walk off with the front door keys to their house while their 89yr old mother is inside? It beggars belief.
These are just some of the complaints. There are more and it wold take me a week to go through them all.
I don't know how many tines I have complained about the service but this has become a joke. I have walked away from this company now and employed another. Since this has been going on for months and nothing has been resolved due to some of the carers, I feel I have to inform CQC. At the end of the day, it comes down to management. They are responsible for the shocking care that is given. Train the staff properly and continue to check them every 3 months. If they canât do the job required, then replace them. It is as simple as that.

I would like to let you know about the way in which your company works regarding the Abercynon office.
⢠the office staff take your designated hours off your rota and assign them to their family at last minute.
â¢you are phoned by office staff when in the middle of a call asking you to go somewhere else when you already have somewhere to be(on rota) and another call after.
â¢office staff complain about staff wearing a coat or anything to protect us from the rain.
â¢office staff expect us to drive down to the office when not on rota to discuss menial things when earning a pittance and cannot afford to run our cars, this can be done via phone calls???
⢠bank holiday shifts are always given to family members.
â¢there is a massive staff turnover for a reason, corrupt office staff, very low pay, low staff moral.

Despite having the app, we find that the carers calls can often be changed at different times of the day. On more than one occasion, I have left my wife alone to do some essential shopping and on returning, find the carer has either been or has arrived earlier than originally expected.

I absolutely love this app. I can look at it whilst at work and have peace of mind that my mum is ok or not or has had a shower or what mood sheâs in. Itâs just brilliant and the care team that look after her and write in the summary are amazing a majority of them give good information which makes me very happy.

The App used is very good it shows times carers arrive and leave.
Good full write up of what has been done to care for loved one. Always know which carers are coming .
Carers are so good and engage with my 50yr old son with Huntingtons.
Many times they stay much longer or call or text me when they feel my son is unwell, poorly or in need of doctor.
Sad if they are not paid travel time as traffic can be dire during school term.!!.

Kelsie a carer from colwyn bay branch, was brilliant with my mother the other day!
My mother doesnât have carers but decided the other day to bring her shopping in herself when I usually do this when I arrive. Kelsie who was just passing by out of kindness, stopped during work to help assist my mum. This made my mothers week and none stop talking about it to people:)
Very rare to find people who care like that, kelsie deserves to go far in the job sheâs very professional and very patient for her age!

The company do their utmost to accommodate all your requirements and the actual carers are very friendly and pleasant people who do their very best to provide the care needed. More often than not they call within the time window scheduled. Considering some clients may need additional attention during some visits I think they do extremely well with their punctuality.
The app is a nice touch too.
