The bootcamp with Alain was great. He answered all the questions and got things explained properly. Going in for the Senior Angular exam, felt prepared without further studying.

The exam was hands-on, and the results arrived quickly.

I would recommend the bootcamp plan to anyone looking to save time studying. Having someone walk you through it properly is a lot faster than piecing it together yourself.

Took the Senior React certification and it was a solid experience. It's not a multiple-choice quiz, it's actual coding, you sit in an editor and solve real tasks and bugs, so it tests if you can build in React rather than just recall API names.
The whole thing is well put together. Instructions are clear, you get enough time to think, and the study material they include covers what you need. Fair exam, current with how React is actually written now, and passing it felt earned. No complaints.

My experience with the React certification from Certificates.dev has been one of the most frustrating professional certification experiences I have ever had.

What should have been a technical exam turned into more than a month of disputes, emails, screenshots, explanations, delays, and unresolved issues. As of today, I still do not feel that I have received a real resolution. Instead, the process has felt like an endless cycle of support requests where the burden is constantly pushed back onto the candidate.

The biggest issue is the platform itself.

During my latest exam attempt, Exercise 1 worked correctly and I completed it successfully. However, as soon as I advanced to Exercise 2, the embedded IDE stopped functioning properly. The browser preview never loaded, the editor became unstable and unresponsive, and the platform displayed errors including:

"Unable to run Embedded Project"
"Error getting snapshot from editor"
"Looks like this project is being embedded without proper isolation headers"

I immediately reported the issue through the support chat while the exam timer was still running. Nobody responded. The timer continued counting down while the platform was failing.

I took screenshots of everything.

What makes this even worse is that the exact same laptop, browser, network, browser extensions, and setup worked perfectly during:

I am a Tech Lead with more than 10 years of experience in web development and use React, Angular, Node.js, Docker, browser debugging tools, and enterprise development environments daily. My laptop is a Lenovo ThinkPad P16 workstation with more than enough resources for modern web development.

The failures only appeared when Exercise 2 loaded.

Despite all the evidence provided, instead of receiving a proper resolution, I spent weeks answering emails, providing technical details, explaining my environment, attaching screenshots, and effectively doing QA work for a certification platform that clearly does not feel stable or mature enough for a high-stakes paid certification exam.

The support experience has been equally disappointing. Response times are extremely slow. Sometimes several days pass without updates. This entire situation has been ongoing since May 28, and the process still feels unresolved.

Another major issue is the inconsistency of the platform itself.

Before one of my attempts, the dashboard indicated:

1 Challenge
90 Minutes

But once the exam started, it became:

2 Challenges
105 Minutes

Later, I captured screenshots showing that the platform still advertises the React exam as "1 Challenge - 90 Minutes." This only reinforced my concern that candidates are being presented with inconsistent information.

The "Free Retake" offering is also confusing. The way it is marketed strongly suggests that if you fail, you can retake the exam without paying again. However, in practice, the way attempts and retakes are handled in the dashboard is unclear and led to additional disputes and confusion.

The paid "Preparation Bundle" was another disappointment. In my opinion, it adds very little value beyond what is already freely available in the official React documentation. Considering the premium price of the certification, I expected significantly better preparation resources.

And that is ultimately the biggest problem: the price.

This certification is expensive, yet the platform quality, stability, support responsiveness, and overall candidate experience do not match the premium pricing being charged.

Ironically, my Angular certification experience with Certificates.dev was positive, which is why I originally recommended the platform within my company. Unfortunately, my React certification experience has been completely different.

At this point, I honestly cannot recommend the React certification to other developers or companies. The technical problems, inconsistent information, slow support process, lack of real-time assistance during the exam, and overall instability created an exhausting and unnecessarily stressful experience.

I strongly encourage anyone considering this certification to think carefully before investing their time and money.

I sent screenshots documenting the information displayed by the platform, including the challenge count and exam duration, as well as additional screenshots documenting the technical problems encountered during the exam
The last communication I received was an apology for the delay and a promise to resolve my case ( almost 2 months ago), I'm still waiting...

A pleasant experience with my application and exam for Mid-Level React certificate

Great experience ! The exam process was smooth and well organized, and I received my certificate quickly after passing. Everything was straightforward and professional. I'd definitely recommend Certificates.dev to anyone looking to validate their skills.

So I received my Mid-Level Vue.js Developer Certificate and the overall experience was satisfying.

The self-study materials were structured in a way that it gave me essential knowledge of what to learn in Vue for the most common use cases in web development without reading the entire documentation. The coding challenges not only test your Vue knowledge, but also JavaScript in general. Honestly, you don't need the provided study materials for the exam preparation when you can definitely rely on other online resources but it can add some additional help.

I purchased the self-study bundle with a free exam retake. The exam had 2 parts (multiple choice questions and coding challenges). On my first try, I passed the MCQ but failed the coding part. I liked the convenience of not doing the MCQ over again when I used my free retake. The hints during the coding part were also helpful so that the examinee won't spend time guessing what files and code blocks to edit, etc.

Ultimately, the Vue certification provided by this company was worthwhile because it's endorsed by the creator of Vue.js himself. If the price seem steep for you, you can check from time to time if they offer a sale/discount.

They have properly prepared course with exercises well tuned to current progress. Concepts are explained pretty clearly with enough examples to understand even more complex ideas. It definitely improves knowledge for the assigned level (mid/senior)

The only drawbacks worth mentioning are: very occasional inaccuracies in the tasks requirements, tiny bugs on their website (for example lack of loading indicator after clicking “complete task and download solution”), a little insufficient video materials imo.

The exam cover all the asic of moder java script.

The test was really good. Even though I have been working with React for some time now, several questions really got me thinking. I honestly might have gotten a couple wrong, which was a great reminder to look back at the fundamentals.

The exam platform was so easy to navigate and lets you focus on what is important which is questions and coding challanges , I had a small issue when signing up for the exam in the beginning but when contacting them, it was resolved in a matter of 15 minutes at most.

The reasonable price, which was in line with the objective. I would like to have more specific and comprehensive training with concrete examples and videos, as well as coding exercises to strengthen skills, even for junior developer

The exam results arrived quickly. The exam platform is very user-friendly. Excellent.

The training section is formative and prepares you well to the certifications. The embedded environment for the certification is very well put together. It was overall a really good experience, I recommend.

This was a very well-prepared exam. They don't ask for anything extreme, and the given curriculum is sufficient to complete it.
They help a lot with the code, for example, they indicate in certain files that no changes are needed. The instructions are clear.
Nevertheless, if you think differently and use Vue differently in your everyday work, you may not get the hang of it and find it difficult to figure out exactly what the exam task expects.

It was a smooth experience conducting the exam.

I love VueJS and all of the things behind it but this certificate was overpriced to say the least. I paid almost $400 so I can read the documentation which is provided for free and solve some coding challenges. The trial exam will always fail but it won't tell you why or what exactly went wrong.
