What a great evening. It was Jane’s 75th birthday and we were not only looked after well, but were treated to a birthday surprise by the restaurant at the end of the meal.
The staff were lovely and the food was top class.
We thoroughly recommend this eating experience, it’s a super addition to the already great selection of fine places to eat in Shrewsbury. We are relative newcomers to the area. Michael and Jane

We have just visited Chiaya Restaurant this evening. We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience, wonderful food and ambiance. The food was particularly good we had delicious satay chicken and spring rolls for starters, followed by duck for main and chicken pad Thai, it was all so tasty and we will definitely be returning.

Stumbled across Chaiya and honestly so glad we did. We shared the Hat Yai chicken, Siam crunch prawns, and the pork & prawn dumplings, very single dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The chicken had that perfect crispy shallot topping and was so juicy underneath, and the prawns had a proper crunch with a lovely kick. We also tried the steamed fish with soy sauce which was lighter but just as packed with flavour, the chilli dipping sauce on the side was unreal.
Service was warm and unhurried, and the vibe inside feels authentic without trying too hard. Prices felt fair for the quality. The kind of place you immediately want to bring friends back to. Already planning my next visit, can't recommend it enough.
