Arrived promptly

Cheaney should be ashamed of itself.

I received a pair of their loafers as a gift — brand new, in the box. Before even wearing them, I went to the Spitalfields store because they felt tight. The salesman told me to “wear them in” and even sold me a £60 shoe tree.

I trusted their advice. The result? Severe pain, shoe bites, and bleeding injuries. I provided photos of the damage and even sent a picture from the very first day I wore them.

Instead of accountability, Cheaney dismissed my injury, denied their own staff’s advice, and claimed the shoes were “worn.” They implied I was dishonest — twisting the facts to avoid responsibility.

And then came the most disgraceful part: during this dispute, their staff actually looked up my LinkedIn profile. That’s a blatant privacy breach, completely irrelevant to resolving the problem, and deeply unprofessional.

So let’s be clear: Cheaney’s so-called “heritage” and “craftsmanship” mean nothing when the reality is a brand that hides behind policies, gaslights customers, and crosses privacy boundaries rather than doing the right thing.

I’ve binned the shoes and I will never buy from Cheaney again. If you value your money, your dignity, or your privacy, stay away.

Great service from Cheaney Shoes. I bought a pair of “Dover”suede loafers but unfortunately Cheaney only make them in “F” fitting which they say will fit most people. My feet must be wider than most as they were too tight. The return procedure was easy and a credit was very quick. I am disappointed as I liked the shoes which are well made in Britain.

What can I say. This is the sixth pair of boots/shoes I’ve had from Cheaneys and even though they are expensive (to me!) I’d rather save up for them as I know I’m buying quality.

As always fantastic shoes and service is fantastic as you would expect.
That said, they do need to change from DPD, as on two seperate orders they have failed to deliver as planned or delivered to the wrong address.

Excellent service from a tradition brand. I ordered a nice pair of oxfords which unfortunately were too tight for my feet. The quality of the shoes was impeccable and even if I had to send them back, all went smooth as butter.
