No order arrived
No order arrived, over a week. They never sent it out. When they finally did, NZ Post took over, still no delivery, forever processing. I cancelled the order, it's redirected back to Chemist Warehouse, who won't refund until it's back in their stock. This can take 9 days if NZPO. dont lose it. Meanwhile, no money, no goods.
Collecting medications
Used this pharmacy to get prescriptions filled.
When opening the bag with medication after collection, items were missing. Returned to the pharmacy , and was told that a special authority was required. They could have told me when I collected my medications. Staff at New Lynn was vey rude and unhelpful.

Rubbish returns policy - beware!
Advertised a promo on fragrances so ordered online. Terrible payment portal which kept glitching, then waited a long delivery time. When the perfume arrived I had mistakenly ordered the wrong one and wanted to exchange for the correct one - totally my mistake. However there are NO refunds or exchanges for perfumes which sucks - there is absolutely no reason for this policy. Customer service tried telling me it was because they 'couldn't guarantee storage conditions once the perfume has left our warehouse' - but it only arrived today! Absolutely shocking customer service. Typical big company - profits over customer service. Will be boycotting from now on.
Will not allow a Refund on Vitamins
I purchased an item in store for bladder control, and it was the wrong item.
When I asked to return it unopened and sealed shut - $38, and swap it for the correct product, I was told that I could not return a vitamin product as the shop was a 'controlled temperature environment.' Also that it was on my receipt that vitamins cannot be returned. (which is correct!) after I bought it.
It was within the 7 days requirement.
Please beware of CW policies & T&C and do not get caught out!!!
Also they have a good variety of stock instore but it can be frustrating trying to find the product.
In future I will only shop at CW in an emergency.

Businesses should not put conditions to refunds, such as set time frames. Businesses also cannot limit their obligations to the terms of a store or manufacturer's warranty. Bayfair store, you chose to not give me a refund on a faulty product, you wanted me to wait 3-5 days with me giving a written explanation as to how the product was faulty, and mentioned several times that I may have miss understood the instructions, without asking me much about my experience and when I did explain it felt like you were finding reasons not to believe me-until you had the suppliers okay for a credit to you or supply of a replacement before you would pay a refund for a faulty product. Your customer service was awful, 3 people were involved and 24 mins of making me wait to tell me to fill in a form as the only option for a refund for a product that was broken. I have not had a refund on a faulty product.

Do not trust Chemist Warehouse NZ online orders for being honest about items being in stock.
I ordered an essential medical item which was notified to me as being available, and listed online as "in stock" - paid $128.00 ....... and then received notification 2 days later that the item was not in stock!
What a dishonest and misleading customer service. On phoning Chemist Warehouse customer services to inquire, I was told item could take another 2 weeks, but even that was only a "guideline".
Customers should not be charged for items that are not available.

..Chemist Warehouse are not bad for prescription stuff but you have to watch their pricing on general items - just bought a normal size tube of Savlon cream in Pak n Save (a food company) and it was over a dollar cheaper than Chemist Warehouse?

Bad returns policy not customer friendly
Bought a tub of Metamucil for my mother and then found out she had already gotten it. Went to return the unopened tub with the receipt and got told that it counted as a Vitamin Supplement and a return wasn't going to happen. How is this a vitamin supplement?! The product has not been opened and it is clear there is nothing tampered with. On closer inspection I realised how aggressive and anti customer their return policy is. Most things they sell cannot be returned. Buyer beware with this company.

Bought Harkers Herbal Chest Clear 250 ml for $32.00 Got home and found out this was the most expensive price anywhere in NZ. Bargain bullshit....
All Hype, No Service
My cardiologist emailed my prescription directly to the Westgate Chemist Warehouse. After 2 days I rang to check when it would be ready. They told me they didn't have the prescription. After a long conversation I was finally told that they had an IT problem and couldn't access emails. How long would it take to get fixed? Didn't know. The whole experience was very frustrating and I won't be using them again. They're all hype and no service.

Iâve had an extremely disappointing experience at Chemist warehouse Shirley. The staff appear to be quite young and, unfortunately, lack basic social skills and professional manners. There seems to be a culture of unhelpfulness, with staff prioritizing personal conversations over assisting customers â even during operating hours.
On this particular occasion, I arrived to collect a prepaid order that I had a text to say was ready for collection, only to be told I couldn't receive it with no explanation other then "Because I said so". When I questioned this, a very young staff member with glasses and a pony tail argued with me instead of offering a solution- I had clearly interrupted a personal convo. Her attitude was immature and, frankly, snarky â not what youâd expect from a business meant to serve the community- I left without my order and was bluntly told to come back tomorrow- my son made the order for me online for me too pick up and used my Cellphone number to receive the confirmation, he said this was not standard practice with online orders?
Iâve been a loyal customer of Chemist Warehouse since it first opened in New Zealand â probably when this staff member was still in primary school â and after this experience, I wonât be returning to Chemist warehouse Shirley.

It was really easy to get my medicine. The store always has a lot happening, which makes it hard to circumnavigate. Overall a good experience and staff always help out.

False advertising all the time.
But took the cake when I went in to get a Motherâs Day gift at the Sylvia park store where they had tickets everywhere saying a further 20% off gift sets. Went to counter and they hadnât taken the 20% off. When I corrected her on the price she said itâs already been discounted. Explained it was a further 20% off she asked cashier beside her who didnât even acknowledge me and said already discounted to her. She got manager who said same thing. Told them they need to remove the discount tickets as itâs very misleading for the customers. He then took the gift set and the ticket and put them both back on the shelf and gave me a dirty look. Would hate to think how many others got charged without realising they didnât get the advertised 20% off.
Staff were rude and didnât seem to care they were misleading their customers.
Contacted the complaints email was told someone from management would be in touch and no one has contacted me yet.
Itâs not the first time I have noticed this as I went to purchase a perfume months ago to be charged almost double and told it was a misprint yet it never got corrected or taken down then either.
People need to 100% check their dockets or take notice of the amount they are being charged before paying. Especially fragrances as they have a no return or refund policy even if itâs their own botch up.
The aisle customer service is poor. Save time and go to your regular chemist.
I have been to Chemist Warehouse Hastings three times. Unfortunately, on my own I havenât been able to find the products that I needed. This store has a lot of stock and finding what I want is time consuming. The women in the aisles have been reluctant to help, they have been too busy stocking the shelves or disappearing. The only redeeming feature of this store have been the pleasant checkout people.
Re the Carter endorsement, I would have thought that being top sportspeople in their time, the Carters would have been loyal to NZ chemists.

I'm beginning to think the online chemist warehouse opens produces...lately, with purchases online I've received packages that don't have the clear wrap on them...the boxes are dented and the barrier that sits on the top of the face cream missing....these produces are not cheap....
