It made me understand

It made me understand! I realized the tone I was chasing was from technology not available because they do not make it that way anymore. With Choptones I could take a patch and dial it in to the desired tone!

My only regret is having waited as long as I did!

I went looking for tones to “unlock” the potential of the GT-1000, and the ones from Choptones were the real deal!

I’m a tube amp guy from way back - and not at all programming savvy when it comes to pedal platforms. The stock tones in the GT were good - but they didn’t “nail” the tones I wanted
and then I discovered Choptones. Wasn’t as difficult as I’d imagined, and all of the sudden, I loved my GT-1000!

Not Worth the Money – Weak and Inconsistent Oasis Preset Pack

I’m honestly very disappointed with the Oasis presets and captures for Quad Cortex.

First of all, the price is very high for what you actually get. In my opinion it is absolutely not worth the cost.

All presets appear to be built from the same exact signal chain. The only difference between them seems to be small parameter changes, but the structure of the presets is identical. For a paid pack that is supposed to represent different Oasis songs, I expected much more variety.

Another big issue is the output level. All presets are extremely quiet. It sounds like they were saved with the volume set very low. Because of this, switching between my own presets, factory presets, and Choptones presets is very difficult. I have to rebuild or rebalance everything from scratch just to make them usable.

The tone itself also feels weak and underwhelming. It lacks the power and character I expected.

Finally, the list of song-based presets was not what I expected at all. They do not really capture the feel of the songs in a convincing way.

Overall, this pack feels overpriced and not worth the money in its current state. I would not recommend it.

However, we believe some points in your review may be based on a misunderstanding of how the pack is structured. While the signal chain follows a standard guitar workflow, the presets themselves include many different captures and configurations. The differences between presets are therefore not limited to small parameter adjustments, but involve different captures and tonal setups designed to represent the various Oasis-inspired sounds included in the pack.

All presets, tones, and song references included in the pack are clearly demonstrated in the official demo videos. For this reason, the content and overall structure of the presets are fully transparent before purchase, and there should be no discrepancy between what is shown and what the user receives.

Regarding the output level, presets are intentionally saved with conservative levels. Since every guitarist uses a different guitar, pickup output, monitoring system, and global settings, it is much safer to start from a lower level and let users adjust the output to their own setup. This avoids clipping or unwanted distortion when loading the preset for the first time, which is a common best practice for digital modelers like Quad Cortex.

For these reasons, we feel the conclusions expressed in this review do not accurately reflect the design or the intent of the product. That said, we are always available to help customers and get the best possible results from them.

You contacted us just minutes after the purchase stating that you were personally not satisfied with the tones and asking only for a refund. As clearly stated in our terms, we do not provide refunds on digital products.

Despite that, we did ask for additional details (settings, clips, or any technical information) so we could try to help and understand the issue. Unfortunately, you chose not to provide any further information, making it impossible for us to offer meaningful support.

It’s also worth noting that our tones are not post-produced: what you hear in the demo videos is exactly what you receive after purchase.

We’re always happy to help customers who are willing to engage in troubleshooting, but dissatisfaction based purely on personal taste—especially without allowing us to assist—doesn’t reflect a fault with the product itself.

Nice product teams

I'm japanese searched for Cabinets IR that I discover this site. I playing a guitar just a little, so I suprised many contents. Bestest like item is VST-Plugin. It's VOX modeling amp in detail is MV50. I have many software me, but I like this sound quality than some guitar amps. I think better use together FX-chain is YAMAHA. I'm not joke! this is greats... I regards your team. very greats... :3

Def Leppard presets - Recommend

This isn’t the first time that I have bought Choptones products, but it is the first time that I have used them as intended - usually, I miss out the amp and cab sim(s) as I use the four cable method and use my own amp and cab instead. Now I realise where I was going wrong!
Using the Def Leppard presets as intended, sending the entire signal chain through a Headrush powered FRFR speaker, some of the presets (you have to tweak them) sound amazing.
I will be revisiting previous purchases to eliminate my own gear from the signal chain to see how the presets sound.

I had a confusing experience

I had a confusing experience. In the preview video of the presets I bought (bon jovi) they used the song names, but then, the presets have different names. As a newbie in all these it’s not easy to make the connection my self. I asked them for a refund or even advice, and they never answered me back.
