Better Take Blankets etc etc
Belfast Odyssey, Auditorium 8, 17.40 pm, opening day of Paddington In Peru - (along with my wife) felt frozen from start to finish, was using an overcoat and scarf to maintain some warmth (the onset of winter, bearing in mind the date). It seems others might've experienced heating issues within the Cineworld chain auditoriums (whether too cold or hot, perhaps depending on the time of year and whatever the internal underlying reasons). Also it follows on from my previous complaint, trying in vain to book tickets online (subsequently liaising via email with the executive branch personnel). But now this actual experience marred the novelty of visiting for the first time and the movie itself, when they're supposed to be better than all the rest (of the less hi-tech competition)! ps relatively deserted premises, considering it was a Friday night too. Also, unless the screening is enhanced in some specialist way (we saw in 2D), the price guage is not value for money, neither for tickets nor the snacks. The only part of which they offer some consolation, is free parking (accredited to your ticket) for a film duration - although I'm not sure how that compares to the circumstances (on the cost) of different urban cinema zones.

Accidentally booked a film smile forâŠ
Accidentally booked a film smile for Tuesday 39 th October instead of 31 st October as under pressure putting in Tesco voucher and on a time limit and having to pay rest by card as soon as I saw my mistake within 5 mins thatâs it no help went to cinema to see if they would change the day but no all this private policy or should I say no one is allowed to make a mistake so lost £50 to them as we didnât get to see the film and cineworld at Bexleyheath offer absolutely nothing when they can easily check availability and just move the days just money takers thatâs all they are see why they are all closing down thereâs no real customer service just rip people off .
Terrible Experience Ruined Our Movie Night - GO ANYWHERE ELSE IF YOU CAN!
I recently paid for two tickets to watch a movie at Cineworld Wembley, and it was an absolute nightmare. A group of 5-6 unruly children completely ruined the entire viewing experience. They were constantly running around, making loud noises, talking on their phones, taking annoying flash photos, and even fighting with each other. Despite the security guard giving them a warning, they were allowed to stay instead of being removed and banned for at least a few months to prevent future disruptions.
Their behaviour was so bad that they scared off two young teenage girls by following them outside their seats. Eventually, they just called someone to pick them up and left, but the damage was done. The whole evening was wasted, and we also left feeling frustrated and disappointed.
I reached out to Cineworld for a full refund but have yet to receive any response, making their customer service a complete letdown. On the bright side, the staff and service people were nice and friendly, but it didnât make up for the terrible experience. I strongly recommend avoiding Cineworld Wembley and choosing another cinema to ensure you actually enjoy your movie night.
Uncontactable, Online Account a Mess
Been a Cineworld unlimited customer for more years than I can remember, certainly more than 10 years.
I've been happy with it until recently when it has become a right old mess.
Need to cancel a booking, no problems, login to my online account ... but no, it shows that I have no bookings. In fact it doesn't show any previous bookings either. It used to show a history but now, absolutely nothing.
So I look for a telephone number - couldn't find one. So I google for a telephone number, called it only to hear a recorded message saying that they no longer accept telephone calls and to use the online messaging.
So I used online messages and absolutely nothing, it as if it is being ignored.
So in summary, the online account system is a mess, there is no way to contact Cineworld, and there is no way to cancel the booking that I no longer want.
I know they have massive financial issues and filed for bankruptcy in the USA so maybe this is just the symptoms of a dying business.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Arrived with my 15 year old son to watch the the Joker (Ashton under Lyne) and the age rating was TBC (too be confirmed) when I booked , still saying that on my tickets. They asked my son for ID, what 15 year old has photo ID. Very rude man, I want a refund for web order WQN8L5R. I checked out as a guest so cannot log in and canât contact customer services as you make it that difficult . I want a full refund for my tickets due to your mistake and your incompetent staff
Place is a joke
Place is a joke, I couldn't get in because I was 15 mins early but the other lady was letting everyone in so I said why are they in then so she didn't know what to say and let me in plus tickets say 5 quid but they were coming up at 6 quid each at the cinema, which was fine but then I tried to dark knight and you have to pay 1.90 fee somehow so might as well buy them at the cinema, false advertisements
Very disappointed
Have been a massive fan of Cineworld for many years. I received a £50 gift card which they told me I couldnât use on food/drink only tickets and made it extremely difficult for me to use at the time I tried. Being a mother of 3 children (2 are disabled so I really donât get out much!) apparently the gift cards expire within 2 years and mine had expired. I politely explained my situation and asked if it could possibly be extended but was told no. Now- I will say itâs a great shame that a multi million pound company such as yourselves acts in such a greedy manner. I totally understand and respect policies however itâs always appreciated if a one time exception could be made. What is £50 to your company? Nothing but to me itâs a lot of money. It taints my view of you as a company now as not one that cares about its customers but more about financial gain and unfortunately I donât wish to attend again.
Saturday 14th 2024
Saturday 14th 2024, myself and a friend went to watch it ends with us at Wolverhampton CINEWORLD, however the issue was that the whole film was blurry and the sound was very low! Furthermore you could only see clearly once they zoomed in on the faces but I wouldnât recommend going there, it totally wrecked the experience of the whole movie which I was looking forward to watching. Also no staff came in before or after the movie which was weird
Website never works multiple devices and connections.
Website never worked so drove 40 minutes for there to be no seats. Nothing but bad experience with cineworld broughton. Only visited because the kids liked the 4DX.
Sweatbox no AC
Nearly £20 for imax and the sound is not calibrated or something odd because itâs boomy. Also no AC which i understand is company policy to maintain inhumane temperatures in the iMax screen. Wonât be calling again.
Expensive Snacks!
The venue was very nice good sound, picture and seating. However £14 for a popcorn, water and a drink - wow!
Online ticketing scam
Cineworld cinemas ticket price itself is already on a higher side, then why are you charging another 0.95p per ticket as booking fees. If you have a movie ticket management system and that's available in internet, any customer booking online is not using your point of sale counter so less staff and less face to face servicing. With these cost offset you would be already earning more then why are you charging a booking fee per seat. Any sensible management will not loot like that
Very good management
I thank you VERY MUCH the management of CINEWORLD DUBLIN PARNELL STREET for their amazing patience and understanding.. <3 :-)
Yesterday as I was about to get myself a ticket, I realised I unfortunately forgot my unlimited card at home..
I tried calling customer service few times which usually answer 7 days a week, but I don't know what happened yesterday, as soon as the phone rang, it automatically hang up on its own (maybe connection issue).
I tried getting the ticket online, bad day for me : it wouldn't accept my password.
I changed my password, and received the email confirming change of password, but still my new password didn't work.
I than asked to talk to a manager, two members of the management team came right away.
After explaining my issue, they called another manager.
The three were very patient trying to resolve the issue.
I showed them my emails with the password changed and tried on front on them login again online to get myself a ticket, but seeing it was all weird ; the manager got me a ticket (was able to watch TWISTER. Indeed I absolutely wanted to watch it yesterday as I was off, and I live in Balbriggan, it would have been a shame all that travel for nothing..)
Obviously as soon as got home, I straight away put my unlimited card in my wallet to avoid that happening again.
But I thank that management team for their professionalism, patience, and understanding.
I visited Cineworld in Wembley onâŠ
I visited Cineworld in Wembley on Saturday
I was helped by James as I had Tesco voucher coupons. He had patient into helping me to pay by voucher as that takes time. James and other members of the staff were all very friendly polite and helpful.
I find The Wembley Cineworld very clean that goes for the cinema halls. Corridors and not to forget the toilets were all clean.
Keep up the good work
Sound level âŠ
I have just been to cineworld in Speke great film comfortable seats staff were helpful BUT omg the sound must have been 100 decibels my ears were ringing why does it have to be so loud spoilt the experience
Avoid, scammers!
Absolutely scamming thief's. Sell Christmas voucher boxes, which many people keep in the box sealed to keep their vouchers safe for when they want to use it. Guess what? Only 6 months theyâre valid for. This is not once mentioned on the box, only on the small print if you open the box and look at the tickets. Everyone just assumes you get 12 months to use this, so if you were gifted this you wouldnât have a clue. Clearly a way for many people to do the same mistake as I did for them to make money, they must need it with the prices & closures. absolutely disgusting. Go vue guys, much cheaper and way better customer service. Fyi the customer service staff are rude, they put the phone down mid conversation.
Cineworld Enfield poor deal and dirty
Cineworld Enfield
Decided to try "4DX". Ok it was worth it for a one off maybe...but come on, nearly £20 pp to see a 2d movie on a slightly out of focus dark screen. ( I am over 60 so I got a massive £2 discount recouped by them later on in a booking fee...)My pet hate is showing a 16: 9 "big movie" on a 4:3 screen. Thats the height of laziness and cost cutting. These movies are meant to expand left and right but these guys just show it as a smaller picture! Thats nonsense. Plus no black border, so they project the grey bars top and bottom onto the white screen. I have come up with:
AMAX - for the smaller big screen experience!
My 4k home video projector delivers a much better picture.
Sound was brilliant. If you want an intelligent look at what happens if aliens were to land on earth. I recommend
"A QUIET PLACE-Day 1". Excellent movie and the aliens rip people off as quickly as the cinema does. However, I wouldn't sit on the "cinema"s filthy seats again. They are almost black with lumpy bits-best not to think about.
If you want the 4DK experience I will set it up in my garden and you can sit in my fiat 500 with the engine runing....my seats are clean too
1st night showing the movie and there were 10 of us in the whole cinema.
I couldn't help thinking if they charged a decent price, more peole could afford to go. It's possible to get tickets to a West End show for the same price.
Oh yes...£5.25 for a coke! I expected to taste rum too for that.
Honestly, how have cinemas got away with this over the past few years. The pricing is gross considering you can have all this at home if you save up £20 every time you think of going. Get a screen and a cheap projector, 2 cans of coke and a packet of crisps...off you go!
This is an honest appraisal...the movie was great the 4DX was fun as a one off - you should try it when you get a bonus at work to pay for it....sound was amazing.
All the rest 3/10 tbh.
Oh yeah! Booked the tickets myself so loved being charged £1.90 booking fee just because they can filch that money from my account..I didn't ask for a receipt as the buggers charge another 30p for that. Was afraid to use the toilet in case there was a 1 pee charge...
