It is how they react when things don't go to plan
Recently returned from 3 nights Cairo (Steinberger Pyramids) 7 nights Nile Cruise (MS Royal Princess) 7 nights Hurghada (Fort Arabesque).
Every transfer/accommodation/food were excellent and couldn't be faulted.
We were looked after from start to finish whether that be a representative of Classic Holidays or hotel or boat staff.
Tips from Classic Holidays re drinks packages on the boat (don't bother) were spot on.
Tipping in advance on the boat was extremely helpful and then we just gave a few £ to our favourites.
Egyptologist guides Adel and George were brilliant and very knowledgable, we learnt so much and they made this magical trip very memorable.
We didn't use Classic Holidays excursions in Cairo as these were very expensive and booked our own at a 3rd of the price and talking to others equally as a good.
It is the mark of a travel company on how they react when things don't go to plan makes them stand out and truly earns our five stars.
7 days before the final legs of our trip, Egypt air informed us that they had changed our flight from Hurghada to Cairo from 13:00 in the afternoon to 08:00 in the morning, that would give us 7 hours instead of 1 to kill in Cairo airport before flying on to Heathrow. One call to Classic Holidays in the UK and Dean who answered the phone, owned the problem. He kept us informed by email and WhatsApp of progress. He reorganised our transfer to airport, accepted the flight change with Egypt Air, arranged for us to be met at Cairo and transferred to and from a very nice airport hotel, providing us with a day room and a buffet lunch, all without any extra charge. A very impressive service.
My only criticism would be that before you travel, Classic Holidays email you multiple flight itineraries, accommodation vouchers and transfer vouchers alongside a Nile Cruise Guide. They recommend that you have these in hard copy....so down to the library we went. We were only asked for one hard copy transfer voucher so this was a waste of time/money and bad for the environment. With the cost of the holiday Classic should post these to you if they are absolutely necessary in my opinion. Or they need to talk to their partners in Egypt to establish if these vouchers are actually necessary. A very small gripe and doesn't detract from the holiday, just a recommendation for improvement.

The Pyramids, GEM and a Nile cruise
We had the most wonderful holiday, everything was so well thought out for the enjoyment and convenience of the customer. The Steinbergen hotel in Giza exceeded expectations, the Orbital staff who looked after us in Egypt were superb. The excellent Egyptologists who took us on our tours were super knowledgeable and helpful. The boat we cruised on to Aswan and back from Luxor was the Royal Princess which was just charming. The food was plentiful and delicious, the staff on board were friendly, really funny and efficient. The young man who cleaned our room twice a day was a joy with his towel animals and his happy demeanor. It was the holiday of a lifetime and I'm glad we chose an experienced firm like Classic to provide it for us.

Great Tour and Relaxation Time
A highly recommended 9 day ancient Egypt tour and Nile Cruise combined with a week’s relaxation in a Hurgada beach resort. A well managed process from start to finish that ticked all the boxes including a breath taking tour of all the principal ancient sites with very good hotels and a wonderful river cruising boat. The only criticism was that some of the tour was rushed due to scheduling issues.

A wonderful trip
From the initial booking to the final journey home everything was seamless. We were met in Luxor, visas sorted for us, help at passports and baggage collection then taken to our boat, Blue Shadow IV. We met our guide;a knowledgeable,helpful and very friendly man called Petro. We visited marvellous sites such as temples at Karnak,Luxor,Philae andKom Ombo. We also had afternoon tea at the Cataracts Hotel. We were really well looked after by the guide and boat staff. Food was plentiful with wide variety. A really good trip. Be prepared for very early starts,they are worth it.

First time using classic holidays and we had an amazing time on our Nile cruise and stay. Hani and George our guides knowledge was unbelievable. You learn so much more. And they remember everyone’s names. Wouldn’t hesitate to use classic holidays again.

Exceptionally well organised
Exceptionally well organised. Met at the airport and accompanied every leg of the journey until we got on the flight home. The tour guides made this such a fun and wondrous experience. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make sure nobody missed a single bit. Would certainly recommend this holiday to anyone who has an interest in the Pyramids and Valley of the Kings, Abu Simbel, Karnak etc. The boat, Royal Princess, was something out of an old Agatha Christie novel. So relaxing.

Wonderful trip on the Nile
We have just returned from a wonderful Nile cruise trip with Classic Holidays. Firstly flying to Cairo with Egypt air. Having read the bad reviews about this airline we were a bit apprehensive but to be honest it was fine. We stayed at the Steigenberger Pyramids Hotel for 3 nights which had amazing views of the pyramids. After a flight to Luxor we joined the Royal Princess. Everyone on board from the cabin stewards to the bar, restaurant and deck staff were brilliant.
Our tour Guide, Hany, a very qualified Egyptologist, was so passionate and enthusiastic and a very lovely guy. He certainly brought everything to life and the amount of knowledge he has is truly unbelievable. Nothing was too much trouble for him and the other guide, George, who was also a very knowledgable caring guy. All the excursions were well organised, with some very early starts to avoid the crowds which were well worth getting up early for.
I’ve always wanted to visit Egypt with its wonderful ancient history and so glad we finally did!

It was really well organized
It was really well organized, the Nile cruiser was comfortable and the food good. The transfers were flawless. Hectic itineraries sometimes, but had to be to pack everything in.

A totally fabulous holiday
Impeccable organisation, excellent guide, lovely boat. A totally immersive experience. From arrival at Luxor airport to going through departure gate at Hurgada, Classic reps were there to guide and support us. Nothing was too much trouble.

Exceptional care and attention to detail
We have just returned from our holiday in Egypt and can honestly say it has been wonderful. The service has been seamless from start to finish and our tour guide Hany has been exceptional.
We expected the excursions to be brilliant, which they were. However, it has been the attention to detail which has really wowed us. A couple of examples: Being met airside at Cairo by the representative to expedite our arrival through customs; The tour guide Hany who, when it became clear that we wouldn't pass through Esna lock in time to visit Karnak and Luxor temples, organised the coach to pick us up and drive us to Luxor where, after our visit we met the ship.
My wife had a few reservations about travelling to Egypt but the care that has been lavished on us has been very reassuring. We would definitely recommend Classic Holidays for a trip to Egypt.

Both myself and wife wanted a Nile…
Both myself and wife wanted a Nile cruise and hadn't heard of and never used classic holidays before but was first website we got to after TUI let us down with prices and glad we did.
We spent 7 nights on board and even though our intended ship broke down a few days beforehand Classic sorted it out with a different, really nice ship with no drama.
As soon as we landed and were off the plane we were met by Orbital staff who sorted out our visa and helped with bags etc.
On board we met our guide for the week Adel Youssef, who really took great care of his group of around 18 of us and shepherded us around like family and made everything feel safe and doable. It was pretty awesome. We didn't have any problems with diesel fumes as others have reported. We didn't get a room on top 2 decks as told we would but didn't moan about it as room was fine and it couldn't be helped as boat last minute change. It was nice to get tea and coffee in the room also.
All the food was lovely and drinks were not expensive.
Staff really took care of you onbaord and everything we needed was taken care of by staff or Adel. Their attitude is if you don't tell them then they can't sort it which worked really well, our fridge didn't work and within minutes staff swapped it out, no fuss just got it done.
All the trips were amazing and well worth getting up early to beat the crowds with seamless organisation.
We had great fellow travellers on board, met as strangers and left as friends.
Next 4 days were spent in a resort in Hurghada and again transfer was great, no issues, hotel lovely.
We were picked up from the hotel to Hurghada airport by Orbital travel rep right on time and rep took us right to front of airport door, great staff.
Would I go back, probably not as other places to go, would I use classic holidays or refer them to friends, yes definitely.

What a fantastic Nile Cruise holiday
What a fantastic Nile Cruise holiday. Superbly organised and great value. The boat was exactly as advertised, hospitality onboard was exceptional and added with the best guide/egyptologist you could wish for. The hotel stay after the cruise was fantastic and really finished the holiday in style. Can highly recommend the Classic holiday experience.

Went on this holiday with my granddaughter we both wanted to see the Nile we could not have done this holiday any better it was loverly the boat the staff the guide the food the whole package,I would use Classic again

Excellent in every way we are generally solo travellers so this was out of our comfort zone as a package holiday however we needed have worried it provided first class tour guides wonderful accommodation both on and off the boat fantastic staff, food and tours everything we wanted to see and do was achieved
