I completed my Level 3 Safe Use of Mechanical Restraints training today in Stratford with Nick at the Close Protection Academy, and I couldn’t recommend him enough.

Nick created a professional yet relaxed learning environment that made the subject very approachable and easy to understand. His ability to break down complex techniques into clear, simple steps made learning both engaging and enjoyable.

What really stood out was his genuine passion and depth of knowledge in the subject it was clear he has real-world experience and cares about passing that on effectively. The balance between professionalism and approachability made the whole course run smoothly, and I left feeling confident in my learning.

I recently completed a Close Protection Top-Up course with Nick at the Close Protection Academy and I cannot recommend the experience highly enough. Nick is a truly exceptional instructor; his approachable nature and wealth of experience make him stand out. He has a fantastic ability to make complex material easy to understand and keeps the course engaging with a well-structured curriculum. Nick’s extensive background allows him to provide realistic, real-life scenarios, which are invaluable for any student. On top of that, he’s a very nice guy too.

I recently completed the 3 day Close Protection Top-Up Course with Nick Player, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Nick delivered the course with professionalism and energy, making the practical sessions both fun and highly engaging. My peers on the course were fantastic, creating a supportive and motivating environment that also gave me the chance to build some valuable new connections within the industry.

One of the highlights was the exam system instead of the traditional paper-based approach where you might wait weeks for results, everything was done on an iPad. It was smooth, user-friendly, and the best part was receiving the results immediately, which really takes away the stress of waiting.

Overall, the course was well-structured, enjoyable, and a great opportunity for both learning and networking. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to refresh their skills or stay up to date in the Close Protection field.

Went to the handcuff training today with close protection academy. Amazing course, Nick is a great trainer, super informative and knowledgeable giving in depth details along with live physical interaction to give you a feel of how to apply the mechanical restraints correctly. I would HIGHLY recommend this course as it can be very useful and effective in the CP field.
