A challenging program with real support and a standout instructor Temple was the first place I

Coding Temple was the first place I felt treated like a real engineer in training, not a customer passing through. The pace was fast, the expectations were high, and the support was real. Our instructor, Dylan, was the anchor — patient, straight-shooting, and genuinely invested in every student. He knew when to push, when to slow down, and when to tell you the thing you needed to hear, not the thing you wanted to hear.

My cohort was the difference-maker. A class full of people who actually showed up, helped each other, and held each other accountable. That atmosphere made the grind feel doable.

If you want hand-holding, look elsewhere. If you want to be challenged, learn modern tools, ship real projects, and walk out ready for interviews — this place delivers.

Coding Temple, Software Engineer

Coding Temple was a wonderful place to learn how to developed a website from start to finish. you learn front end programs and backend development. Dylan Katina was a great teacher, very engaging and knowledgeful about his craft. He took his time when people had questions and explained as much as he could without trying to overwhelm you.

The support team was really great

The support team was really great. I booked 1 on 1 support meetings for any and all questions I had. The course material was well structured and thorough. Yessica Sosa was also incredibly helpful throughout the whole process! I am excited to hopefully get a job as soon as possible!

Coding Temple: The Ultimate Bootcamp Experience for Full-Stack Developers

My experience at Coding Temple has been nothing short of transformative. As a graduate of their Full-Stack Developer program, I can confidently say this bootcamp delivers on its promise of preparing students for immediate job readiness in the tech industry.

The curriculum at Coding Temple is exceptionally comprehensive and cutting-edge. The advanced React and Firebase coursework provided me with the modern tools and frameworks that employers are actively seeking. I worked on real-world projects that mirror actual industry challenges, including building an Amazon-inspired e-commerce application complete with authentication, payment processing, and dynamic inventory management. The API challenges throughout the program pushed me to think critically and solve complex problems independently.

What truly sets Coding Temple apart is the caliber of their instructors. They are not just teachers—they are experienced developers who offer meaningful career guidance beyond coding. Their expertise in deployment technologies like GitHub, Vercel, and PowerShell gave me confidence in shipping production-ready applications. The support I received was outstanding, with instructors always available to clarify concepts and provide feedback on my projects.

I want to especially recognize Jessica Sosa, whose mentorship was of great value to my success. Her encouragement, thoughtful guidance, and technical insight helped me overcome key challenges and grow both as a developer and a professional. Jessica’s support made a genuine difference throughout my Coding Temple journey.

I also loved presenting my projects to Nicolas Gutierrez—his feedback was always detailed, constructive, and motivating. Nicolas’s expertise and direct commentary sharpened my presentation skills and made each project review a meaningful learning experience. His commitment to student development stands out in every interaction.

The hands-on backend skills I acquired were invaluable. I gained deep expertise in REST API development, Flask framework, and database design principles. The admin dashboard project taught me about role-based access control and data management, while the onboarding flows and analytics dashboard projects enhanced my full-stack capabilities.

The community and networking opportunities exceeded my expectations. Through Disco and LinkedIn, I connected with fellow students and alumni, creating lasting professional relationships. The LinkedIn networking strategies and career preparation sessions provided practical guidance for launching my freelance and full-time career prospects.

Coding Temple equipped me with an impressive portfolio of deployed applications and the confidence to tackle any development challenge. The program's focus on both technical excellence and career preparation made me job-ready from day one. I wholeheartedly recommend Coding Temple to anyone serious about launching a career in software development.

I'm learning a lot in my Cybersecurity

I'm learning a lot in my Cybersecurity bootcamp. Being a person who's time is very limited my instructor Yazan does a great job explaining the content. He is very passionate with what he teaches us and he is the constant professional. I'm very appreciative of the time I have with everyone. Coding Temple is the Greatest of all time.

Great Path to Start to Cyber-Security

Coding temple has a pretty nice setup for learning cyber-security. Its a nice mix on hands on and book work. One thing that coding temple does really well is define vocabulary and give examples of such. this helps pair with the lectures( instructor was Yazan Armoush) so you have a book and experienced definition to help re-enforce learning.

Coding Temple has taught me the

Coding Temple has taught me the necessary skills to become a software engineer, covering topics ranging from backend to frontend development in depth. The curriculum has introduced me to new, more advanced code writing while enhancing my prior knowledge. Instructors such as Yessica Sosa and Allen Ahmed are calm and informative, ready to answer any questions you have and guide you to the solution.

Taking off one star for errors in the specialization sections' lessons, there are missing parts of the code and sometimes incorrect instructions, requiring me to go outside the curriculum for explanations.

Overall, small errors in the course do not take away from the knowledge gained and the skills to change your career!

Coding Temple has been a great

Coding Temple has been a great experience so far not, just in the expansive curriculum but with the live classes and community as well. With instructors like Yessica Sosa and Allen Ahmed that are amazing and very supportive while remaining realistic in their expectations of you to succeed. The amount of resources they supply is endless and very organized, even providing a guided student map to help you map out your workflow. This is not just your traditional learning, in the ever changing landscape of tech, they prepare you to step out into the real world job market. It's not just a course, its a journey and if you follow all the steps and requirements within 4 months and with no experience they will make you a full on developer.

Worth it...for me, and maybe for you.

My experience with Coding Temple has been okay overall. I’d give it four stars, not because it was an exceptional program where the staff went above and beyond, but because it did what it promised: provided a structured outline to follow and helped me stay accountable.

I did the asynchronous course, which meant I was mostly working independently through lectures and videos. This setup definitely requires a lot of self-motivation, it’s not the kind of program where you’ll be handheld to the finish line. You need to be willing to put in consistent effort, often 4–8 hours a day, and manage the challenge of retaining a huge amount of information on your own.

The support team was fairly quick to respond whenever I had questions, which I appreciated. However, one challenge I ran into was that the curriculum is being updated constantly. While I understand this is a reflection of how fast the tech industry changes, it sometimes made the learning process a bit confusing.

That said, I do think the program is valuable. It gives you the foundation and structure you need to build skills, and the fact that you’re paying for it adds an extra push to stay disciplined. But it’s important to be realistic: Coding Temple won’t, on its own, fully prepare you for a full-time software engineering role. It equips you with the basics, but success depends on putting in extra time and studying beyond what the course offers.

In short: Coding Temple is a good program for motivated self-starters who want structure and a baseline education in software development. It’s worth the investment if you’re willing to put in the extra work outside of the curriculum. Also, shoutout Jessica Sosa for being so helpful throughout my time at Coding Temple.

I graduated 2 years ago and regret attending.

I graduated from Coding Temple almost two years ago. I joined immediately after high school at 18 and have never regretted anything more.
Despite sending out nearly 600 applications over 3 months, and even more that were unaccounted for for about a year post-grad, I never got a job. I am now a roofer, and at 20, still owe roughly $9,000 to Coding Temple. I’ve reached out to the school and my mentors for financial aid or support, or compensation, and had no response. I did everything I could to get a job or a refund and never received a thing or any answer. 2/7 people in my cohort who graduated received jobs in the field and one of them was through a connection unrelated to the school. Coding Temple is, in my experience, not worth your money or efforts, and I am not the only one with this to have this happen. Recently, I’ve connected with friends in computer science where I learned that bootcamps are considered the joke of the programming community. Attending this school is genuinely one of the largest regrets i carry with me every day. I am now sharing this to hopefully prevent the same thing to happening to anyone else. I feel I was taken advantage of in my youth and not forewarned by any of my mentors nor financial advisors of the contract stipulations regarding my age and reimbursement. (regardless, from what i’ve seen it is RARE that people receive any refund, even if they don’t achieve employment following school.) Additionally, I feel scammed, being upon graduation you don’t recieve any certificate from a verified distributer, rather a certificate of completion of the course, voiding your certification in the eyes of most employers. If you still consider the school after this, please, do yourself the favor of looking at reviews unrelated to the schools website or sponsors, they get you to review the school within the first week of post-grad so most of the people who review the school don’t know what they’re in for.
I struggle financially because of the burden of the repayment, I feel sorrow for the high hopes I had in the industry being taken advantage of, and I will always regret my decision to attend Coding Temple.

Hi Lyla,

Thank you for taking the time to share your story so openly. We’re truly sorry to hear how difficult this has felt for you, and we understand how tough the tech job market can be - especially for someone just starting out at 18.

As we discussed in our recent call, you did put in applications after graduation, but also shared that after a few of months of searching you stopped pursuing roles once you realized how competitive the market was. The reality is that most of our successful alumni secure jobs only after many months of consistent effort, networking, and persistence - and that’s why we continue to emphasize perseverance and creative strategies long after graduation.

On your concern about the tuition: the agreement you signed at enrollment sets the terms for tuition and Money Back Guarantee eligibility. Our MBG requires nine months of documented, consistent job search activity, which unfortunately you did not provide. This is why we could not approve a refund. These rules exist to protect both students and the school, and they apply equally across all learners.

That said, what matters now is what we can do for you going forward. Even though it has been some time since graduation, our career support never expires. We are more than happy to reconnect you with a career coach, guide you through updated job strategies, and even open up access to additional curriculum in Software Engineering, Data, Cybersecurity, or QA if you want to refresh or expand your skills. We know that those who persist do land roles - we see it happen every week.

Finally, regarding your point that bootcamps are “a joke” in the programming community: we respectfully disagree. Our employer partners tell us the opposite - that bootcamps provide hands-on, practical training that four-year programs often don’t, and that graduates bring immediate value to teams. This is why companies continue to hire our students and why we continue to invest in improving our programs.

We wish you all the best in your current career, and if you ever decide to return to the tech path, we’d be glad to support you with coaching, workshops, and mentoring to help you get there.

Kind regards,
Ruta Kuisyte
Director of Product Operations
