My Mum in law was bed bound for 3 1/2 months. She died on Friday 2nd of October.
Shout out to all the carers who visited her 4x a day for all thus time.
I found them kind and caring and very supportive of myself.
It wouldn't be fair to name anyone in particular as they were all lovely.
On occasion I had to ring the office . I found the staff very helpful with any information I needed. Thankyou

Absolutely diabolical care company wouldn’t ever recommend that they look after anyone vulnerable

Absolutely awful company,crisis care was put in for my mother after being in severe pain in hospital also following a heart attack,she has been left with no food and drinks for 9 hours,she was mean’t to be having 4 calls a day,first was at 11.30,next at 2.30pm(no drinks or lunch made) then turned up at 8.30pm to do her tea which should of been 5pm and then 11.15pm as well as a safeguarding concern.No commode emptied,no wash,no pads changed and no pain relief given,absolutely horrific company

Worst care company I have ever experienced.

My experience with the Leeds Bradford branch was extremely disappointing, particularly in relation to the attitude of the office and Rabia Morgan, who I found to be especially rude and unprofessional.

Carers regularly failed to arrive on time, and on some occasions did not turn up at all. There were many occasions when the door was left unlocked after carers had left, which I found extremely concerning and unacceptable, particularly in a home where children were present.

There were also occasions where carers swore inside my home. I witnessed arguments and swearing in front of my elderly mother-in-law and my seven-year-old daughter, which I found completely unacceptable.

When I raised these concerns with the office, I felt that my complaints were not taken seriously and that the response, particularly from Rabia Morgan, was extremely unhelpful and dismissive.

During the time we received care, I believe we had around 16 different carers, making it very difficult to have any consistency or build trust.

Overall, my experience of the care, professionalism, communication and management was extremely poor. I would strongly urge the company to take these concerns seriously and look closely at how this branch is being managed and how concerns raised by families are handled.

Got to be the worst company ever…most of the carers are good but the office staff let them down ….some carers not trained properly…the carers don’t bother turning up or come at 11.30 to get my husband out of bed for morning call…..I called the office between 10am and 11.30am and they didn’t answer…..one carer locked us in our own home and Sarah (who was obviously absent the day they did customer service training) 😡in the office advised us paying for a locksmith….some carers wear the same gloves to empty a catheter and make a cup of tea….then leave the dirty gloves on the kitchen worktop!!!!!!!…im going to care for him myself and I’ve cancer and a broken foot 😥..what a 💩 company 😡😡

This care company is pretty average and the office staff are not great,but on the plus side some of the carers are great and do go above and behond with my mum Patricia’s care they communicate well we me and help as much as possible
The two carers I find great at the job are Anne-Marie and Donna and they are credit to this company.

Firstly, I would like to say a BIG THANKYOU to those individual Carers who treated me with kindness and respect.
As a personal with several disabilities and in permanent severe pain, I did appreciate this. However, from a communication point of view and knowing when to expect carers on a daily basis, this Company needs to improve.
I was left for 6 days without any Care at all when Social Services suddenly stopping partfunding my Care Package without a good reason for this. I am due to have an MRI and eye surgery very soon, so this has been really upsetting. Only a very few of the staff have insurance to drive clients anywhere, so not being mobile myself and ERS being so unreliable in this area, meant being practically homebound. With no family after Covid, this is not a happy situation to be in and so I would not recommend anyone who is lonely to choose this company.

Awful service. Call at patients house and sit in a car for 45 mins talking or on Facebook then go inside for 5 mins. Do this all again 3 times a day for 7 days a week. And these carers ? have the cheek to moan about being overworked. I've never seen such a bunch of lazy uncaring slobs. (Todwick area of Rotherham.) Avoid at all costs.

A very special thank you to the wonderful carers, Lola and Annie, whose kindness, compassion and professionalism during the waking night shifts have made such a difference. They treated Dad with genuine dignity and respect, giving us complete peace of mind.

We’d also like to thank the amazing office team – Tracey, Kelly and Marie. They have always been so helpful, understanding and accommodating, making sure everything ran smoothly and keeping us informed every step of the way.

Thanks to the dedication of the whole team, Dad has regained his confidence and is now safe at home during the night. We are incredibly grateful for everything you’ve done for our family and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Comfort Call to anyone looking for high-quality, compassionate care.

Well was with comfort call for 5 and half years without any problems. Then things went down hill. Taking off really great carers who knew my partner how to do his personal care for him. And transferring etc safetly. With no problems. And then bringing in carers that haven't a clue what they are doing. Unsafe and dangerous transfers was a big problem. Had to get District nurse to help get my partner up. Carers not listening. Carers not turning up on double calls, I ended up helping. Carer fell asleep in chair. Washing machine seal broke, putting bike in front of glass unit until telling them to put it outside. Why change things when it was all going smoothly. Office staff not listening said it was either system problems or miscommunication. The problem been your carers aren't trained properly. We have now changed companies and the girls that come in are trained properly and we have had no issues. They are lovely carers.

If I could give this company minus stars, I would.

From day one, my family and I have been deeply concerned about the standard of care being provided. The issues we have experienced are extremely worrying and, in some cases, potentially dangerous.

Staff do not appear to wear uniforms, are poorly trained, and have even asked family members how to change and empty catheter bags. Used gloves have been left around the bathroom, catheter night bags have been left on the floor creating a trip hazard, and on one occasion the front door was left unlocked at 10pm.

There have also been serious concerns regarding medication, with carers not administering the correct amounts. When we requested to speak to the manager on the very first day, it took six days for our call to be returned.

Basic care tasks are frequently not being completed properly. For example, catheter day bags have been left unemptied because carers claimed they could not find anything to empty them into, despite there being a toilet upstairs. On another occasion, a carer simply checked the bag and left, despite the visit being scheduled for 45 minutes.

The first morning visit was nearly two hours late, meaning it was almost lunchtime before anyone arrived. Unfortunately, these examples are only a small part of a much longer list of concerns.

This company has caused our family significant stress and anxiety, not only for our father but also for the many vulnerable elderly people who rely on them for care. Based on our experience, the service has been unacceptable, unprofessional, and deeply disappointing.

This is Peterlee office.Most of the carers are great and spot on. And they come on time its great. But they send ones who don't turn up.Ones that do the client information in the street rather than somewhere secure.And these can send some that turn up late without informing the person or the family. Not just the date given but quite a lot of other days

Got rid of this company finally got fed up with carers that didn't care in and out within 7 minutes instead of 30.now have Thorncliffe home care what a big difference couldn't be happier. 10 out of 10.

Skelmersdale branch.
Had to use these people for 72hrs whilst they supposedly carried out a 24hr assessment over 3 days. It was meant to be waking nights and days as mum was falling (91yrs old with dementia), their assessment was to see what support needs she had.
Apart from 1 person none of them spoke to mum, they closed doors turned lights off and went to sleep all night, fell asleep in the chair during the day, watched mum struggling to get up, offered no assistance then left their shift while mum was still in bathroom. Never used PPE when emptying commode, emptied it in was basin. Left soiled bedding on bed so mum got back into it before changing, again no PPE.
Constantly asleep, uninterested, dirty, no care towards people, apart from one.
We sent CCTV footage and screen shots, with times etc to the managers who downplayed the incidents. We then sent complaint to Lancashire CC, who give them the contract, who we had to keep chasing for their report. After being told it's being done for 3 months, we get told lessons have been learnt.....I've asked for a copy of this report so that we can be assured no other vulnerable person has to endure these dangerous people, I get offered a phone call! No, I'd like to see the report please!
The company and staff knew we had CCTV, it's very obvious even if we hadn't told them from the start, yet the 'carers' did those things anyway. Imagine what they could be doing with no cameras. It's terrifying.
I'm still waiting for a copy of this report by Lancashire CC, and I'll not give up.
My mum won't ever have to use them again, but the CC needs to show us what has been learnt, what measures they've put in place and what they thought of the shocking evidence we gave them. They've not once acknowledged what they've seen.
I told you I'd put this out there and I've given you chances. A report either has been done or it hasn't, a conversation will not cut it!
If you can avoid Comfort Call, and don't trust the CC with serious complaints.
I'm not going away.

Well after several complaints about team members breaching the care contract, once again the office called my partner and told her, there will be a nothing done about the complaints made, so, after having been told i am on their system which I never agreed to, we will enquire about the so called contract finished,

If I could leave 0 stars I would. My friend works here and would be doing 15-20 hours shifts each day because they are so understaffed.

Whilst unemployed I applied, thinking they would appreciate me as another person to put on my friends round ( we live in the same area ).

I have been a carer since 2018 and due to homelessness have a couple convictions on my DBS, none of which including harming another person.

They made me wait 2 weeks after my DBS was completed, to tell me I failed a risk assessment. Not sure what it was based upon as I have had a care job since these convictions and no problems within my work. My convictions are from 2019/2020, so yes they will hold your past over your head even if it was 5+ years ago.... not very caring.

My friend is always in bits because of the amount of work they give her and couldn't care less if she is dedicating her WHOLE LIFE to them for minimum wage.

The office staff openly talk about how understaffed they are, and there is very little discretion in regards to the rounds they complete. ( When I was in office, staff openly spoke about people's addresses and names despite me being a complete stranger ... and failing their risk assessment) !

Would not recommend any one needing care to go to these for it. They simply do not have the staff and will over work the ones they do until breaking point.

WARNING I've caught a care team members looking into cupboards And personal spaces in my nannas kitchen, even though the carer was told not to, she opened personal medical bags looked at the medications, then searched through another kitchen cupboard to see what was there, she proudly told me that she knows more about our nanna then we do, even though we have been looking after our Hanna for 8 years, I won't name the carer, but she is very self entitled and totally untrustworthy as now My wife and I now have to keep everything under lock and key, my advice is to go to your relatives home, and make a list of everything in their home And kitchen and bathroom cabinets asap, hopefully The carer will be either sacked or moved on

Cant do 0 stars they look after my mother-in-law in Middlesbrough and this evening we had a call from one of the care staff about her health so we tried to call their office and its closed giving an out hrs number and that number is not being answered i will be reporting to CQC as neglect absolutely bloody disgusting

Cch comfort call in skelmersdale has a poor pay rate for work and fuel expenses and staff get over worked, claim to be flexible to get staff, then allocate more work than you signed on for then complain with a bad attitude to you about your ability to work. Wouldn't recommend them
