To everyone with issues with Conservice Utilities. I've filed a complaint with Utah Department of Commerce, Division of Consumer Protection and received a response in less than two days. I submitted my complaint just last week. I have been assigned a case number and investigator. He has contacted me twice so far. File your complaint on their website. I would give this company A BIG FAT NEGATIVE ZERO. If the name fits WEAR IT, COMPLETE CONS!!! The practice is criminal. Bill has doubled and keeps rising, probably to pay for class action lawsuit against them. Another will soon follow I'm sure. Evil, deceptive company. STEER CLEAR OF THESE CON ARTISTS!!!
"Fair Share" Billing = Rip you Off
If your prospective residence uses the Conservice "Fir Share" billing, RUN! Do not walk, RUN! They do not care what your actual electric, water & sewer usage is. Your bill is based on how many bedrooms you have, and your "share" of what the apartment uses (yes, when they water the flowers in a thunderstorm, you're paying for it). I am single living in a 2 bedroom apt, and travel out of town >50%. I typically do 1 load of laundry/week, 1 load of dishes/week, and when I'm traveling take 1 shower on weekends. My utilities have basically doubled since switiching to this service. Last August Pre-Conservice bill: $45 electric, $19 water/sewer. This year with Conservice: $75 electric, $50 water/sewer. Complain all you want - they DO NOT CARE! You've been warned.
Worst company ever! RUN!
If I could give negative 5 stars I would. My bill is $242 for a month, I was told by a representative that the company is billing the apartment complex I live in based on the size of the unit and the amount of people in the home. This has to be illegal.
Terrible billing practices
Terrible billing practices. I received my physical bill in the mail less than 5 day before it's due. They also overcharge for sewer and water services from time to time, randomly, without my ability to audit them.

I can’t give it negative stars. Overcharged. My rent goes up because of it and I’m stuck with this service.
They are billing me for two occupants because, according to them that’s how the apartment complex has it listed. However, I have a co signer who isn’t an occupant. My rent is $1695, but because of them it has skyrocketed to $1899.
Extremely worst company to have your utilities billed
Its a con company.Extremely rude and bad customer service. They charged me wrongly for the bill at my move out. And when asked for explanation they just cut the calls with no explanation. Do not recommend any apartment community to use their services. If you use their services it may decrease your ratings too.

How are they even allowed to be in business and why ANY property company would use them is beyond me. $80 for 1 month of water at an apartment! When previous 3rd party was $80 for 3 months (at my daughter's complex). Seems there's nothing you can do about it as long as your property company chooses to use them. Must be cheap for them b/c no one seems to care. This company needs to be reported to the attorney general and investigated. I will be looking into reporting this company.
Inaccurate billing data by Conservice
My apartment complex uses Conservice for utility billing. Several bills each year have inaccurate charges vs. The management company charges. If you contact either one, your management company or Conservice, they tell you to contact the other to correct the error. It's absolutely ridiculous, says a 4-year resident, forced to receive Conservice utility bills. Definitely not a consumer friendly, or business accurate company to partner with.
What a horrible company
What a horrible company. WAY over charged my 20 year old son for gas utilities because RGE kept telling us the account was switched and it wasn't. But RGE charged us $7 for gas for 23 days and Conserve charged us $57 for 18 days PLUS another $25 admin fee each bill. And when I asked about seeing the usage, I got the run around about it. And absolutely no way to waive the $25 fee even though we had the service switched. SHAME ON THIS COMPANY. I will be leaving reviews on every possible outlet I can.

When your complex sticks you with this company you are screwed. They will do whatever they can to overcharge you with fees. Don't ever be late with payments they have no concern for your well being and they don't communicate with you. Their customer service is atrocious. They should be investigated for their business practices.
Awful company with what appears to be a well-intentioned scam
Awful company providing a “service” which isn’t a service at all, it appears to be a scam disguised as a legitimate business providing a legitimate service. As a lifelong renter, I appreciate someone wanting to make things more convenient for us. But as someone who has been forced to use Conservice and is looking down the dark barrel of another forced go, it would be far more convenient for us to simply be allowed to pay our utilities directly and on time, as they come.
Rental residents are forced to use the service (yes, forced, no option given and no way to opt out) and then charged a setup fee and a monthly “convenience” fee. Theoretically, the idea behind Conservice IS convenient, but in practical application… there is nothing actually convenient about what Conservice does. They form partnerships with local utilities and then seek to bundle utility bills into one convenient pay-here location. The problem is in the processing. It takes 2-3 months for them to start processing the utilities and create your first bill, and then you are always 2-3 months behind. Then, quite often, you’ll see one of your utilities missing from your bill, so some months you’ll pay 2 or even 3 months worth of one utility all at once. You were going to pay it anyway, but it absolutely makes for budget headaches and frustrations. Additionally, their customer service truly leaves a lot to be desired.
I was forced to use Conservice from 2018-2020 and have just been forced into it again in a new community. During my first experience, about twice per year, we saw the electricity get left off the bill. It usually got added to the following bill so we were presented with two months’ worth of electric bills in one hefty swoop. In calling their customer service team to submit my complaints over repeated incompetence, my experience was most difficult. Most of the reps I spoke to were kind just uninformed and helpless. No one could tell me why this kept happening or make any kind of commitment to stop missing the mark.

Completely disgusted with this service and it is through the apartment complex that I rent from. Such a scam..... The monthly water usage was $18.94, the fee $3.89, and the BASE charge $26.43!!!! Seriously...... the base charge is more than what I use. And this is every month, every tenant. How is this legal?!

I am forced to pay for storm water drainage through Conservice. All though it's a small fee, they charge $3.75 to prepare my monthly statement! Really? I'm paying you an additional $3.75 to send me an email with my amount due that I NEVER ASKED FOR! I pay this with my rent, so please spare me your stupid email statement and give me my money back.
This is just one of the companies doing this to us because they can't afford/refuse to pay their people a livable wage. So who pays for it? US! We do with all the dang fees.

No stars necessary. This is a complete scam. Our apt complex initially billed directly thru Water Watch, which charged $25/month. This lasted for about 4 years then out of the blue the apt comple3xed switched its billing thru Conservice, which doesn't provide water/sewage its a 3rd party billing service. My bill went up to $60.00/month. When we asked our landlord they advised that they switched services. This went on for another several years until Jan 2024 when our bills went up to $71.00/month for 2 months and then switched to $81.00. This month they charged $100. I spoke to our landlord and they said they are cancelling Conservice and going back to direct billing for $30/month. So that means we were overpaying Conservice for at least 6 to 7 years and we will never see a refund.

If I could give zero stars I would. My particular situation involves a utility billing company that our Avalon Flatirons (lafayette colorado) residence uses called Conservice Utility Management. It just so happens that Conservice is involved in many civil lawsuits against them for exactly what happened to me as well currently over the past several years. (see articles for reference below or google them for more info). To try to sum this up, my utility billing (water, sewer in particular) went from a fairly reasonable charge (although inflated) to an outrageous jump in cost a few months after my son and I moved into our unit. This was a huge red flag that led to months and months of both Avalon Bay and Conservice trying to figure out what the issue was in our unit and the short answer is that it was never resolved. There is so much to this story and much detail. My lawyer and I have a full case file on the issues that I’ve had, including over 45 emails, 16 phone calls(I wanted everything in writing after I quickly realized I was being passed around), and 2 in-person meetings. We also have my previous 3 years of water & sewer charges that show the ridiculous difference in cost (at one point we were being billed for 10,000 gallons / month for 2 people and over $250 for water & sewer by Conservice) when our average was normally $12-20 for water and $3.50 for sewer from our previous unit. Finally, I decided that I could not continue this losing battle and my lawyer worked with our Community Manager at Avalon Flatirons,and her boss at Avalon Corporate and they agreed to release me from my lease 8 months early since they couldn’t resolve the issue. They informed in writing in an email that they were “deeply sorry for the inconvenience and frustration this has caused!” However, they are still trying to bill me for $1100 in fraudulent charges from Conservice. We are working with the City of Lafayette Attorneys Office, as well as the Boulder County DA Consumer Fraud Division & news outlets on this issue.

These people are scam
These people are scam, artist they work with another scam, artist apartment, Parkplace apartments in San Mateo, California. My bill went up four times the amount on every single item, including trash in one month.!
Conservice has scamming their customers
Conservice has been consistently charging my mom over $200 every month at Courtney Trace Apts Brandon, FL 33511. Her bill for December is $578 for water and sewage which is a complete rip off. I called and requested an investigation as to why they are charging their tenants this type of money and was told they will investigate. I advised we will retain an attorney and the bill will not be paid anymore until they show just cause and credit her account for all the months that she has paid over $150 and should not have.
