Some trap doors are 100% worth falling through. Step through the small doors of Constantine Rex boutique and you’ve stumbled straight into The Greatest Showman. There was once a time….before mass production ruined the vibe…when dresses had souls, dressing was art, tailoring was non-negotiable and colours splurged unapologetically over gloriously imaginative designs. Well, this time is still in full swing behind these doors. Fancy yourself a bit of Downton Abbey swagger? No problems, the lovely ladies here will have you in a Speakeasy number before you’ve uttered the word prohibition. Have a 1950s New Look itch? Scratch it right here. 1970s full on disco bling on your agenda? All yours to hire for less than a cheap high street polyester number. The lovely ladies here will embrace you with belly laughs and joy. This is THE place to give old fashioned dress-up a no pressure go. Things that seem unattainable are available for hire for less than a good lunch for two. This is not a high brow shop for discerning minimalists. This is riotous maximalism peppered with joy, colour, love and memories of your favourite childhood dreams.

The most beautiful shop with the most beautiful team, the passion for fashion is incredible and i truly felt like a princess in a Constantine Rex dress. I could not recommend exploring your inner princess with anyone else

Constantine Rex is a complete treasure trove of beautiful vintage clothes, shoes, hats, bags, and jewellery. The owner and team are unbelievably helpful and advise on any occasion. I was recently invited to be part of a very special high profile event and when I explained what it was within minutes the most perfect dress came out, which was utterly stand-alone knockout. Everyone at the event commented and it photographed perfectly. I am enormously grateful. I visit several times a week and it is a totally pleasurable and exciting experience. I always find something I had never seen there before. Constantine Rex is a veritable treasure trove. Do visit and support unique boutiques like this.

Just wanted to give a massive shout out to Vesper and to recommend her beautiful shop Constantine Rex in Tetbury. What a treasure trove of gorgeous vintage clothing and accessories. Came here for my daughter’s Prom dress. She really wanted something unusual and vintage. Vesper was so incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble. What a joyful experience I always have with this shop! I have been selling my handmade coats through Constantine Rex for the last six months and could not be more impressed with the service they offer. They are creative in their styling with these pieces and have opened up whole new areas for me to explore. Their online presence is strong and their customer service is second to none. Ladies really enjoy the time and attention lavished on them, get a real sense of empowerment with being put into clothes that they would never normally pick for themselves and come away with beaming smiles having clearly had a wonderful experience ! If you are looking for a really personal touch and people who really know what they are doing then you must go to Constantine Rex !

I’ve been working with Constantine Rex for a while now, placing selected pieces from my stock with them to sell on my behalf. As a small business owner myself, I’m always careful with where my items go, and I’ve had a genuinely good experience here.

The owner is a one-woman operation who works incredibly hard to present and sell stock — even when it’s not the easiest to shift. She takes time to understand the pieces, and there’s real thought behind how she curates and displays what she sells. We keep in regular contact, and I’ve always felt respected and well-informed.

I think it’s important to recognise that this is a small, independently run shop, not a chain with a team of staff. That awareness shapes how I work with her — with patience, realism, and appreciation for the effort that goes in. I don’t believe in placing unnecessary pressure on small businesses or turning to harsh public criticism when things don’t move instantly.

Our working relationship has been honest, professional, and based on mutual respect. It’s been a pleasure to collaborate with someone who cares this much about vintage fashion.

Vesper Ward, the proprietor, took 3 of my designer dresses last summer, sold one of them and eventually returned the other two. I have had to chase her for my payment (from the one sale) numerous times. She always apologises with many excuses, then promises me a date when I will receive my money, then breaks these promises. I have been calling and emailing her about 8 times since November 2024 with no result in receiving the monies owed to me. Vesper Ward has proved to have zero business integrity or honesty. DO NOT SELL TO HER! A very disappointing, stressful and annoying experience.

This glorious shop is run by the charming Vesper. Her knowledge of clothes and her stock are both utterly fascinating. The clothes, accessories and jewellery can be as much as 120 years old with some perhaps as little as five years old. What unites everything in the shop is the quality of each item. It is always a joy to explore the stock.

Visited a couple of years ago but a very snooty, unfriendly woman was at the desk. This time it was Vesper herself( owner). What a difference!! She is the friendliest, funniest and most charming lady you’ll ever meet. I could have stayed all day!!
This shop is a treasure, a secret gem hiding in the sleepy village of Tetbury. It secretly hives clothes & accessories.
If you have a love of vintage, pre-loved glorious pieces of the past, you must go out of your way and lose yourself in this treasure trove of beauty!!

This is a real gem of a shop and Vesper, the owner, is so knowledgeable and helpful.
It's a delightful place to have a browse, which I have done on a few occasions, but made my first purchase this week. My bank made it very difficult for me to release the money but Vesper was nothing but patient and understanding and we got there in the end!
My only regret is that I wish this wonderful shop was closer to where I lived! I'm sure I will be back though. Thank you Vesper 😊

Constantine Rex is a real treasure chest of amazing luxury vintage goods! Vesper is incredibly passionate and knowledgable, and wants you to feel a million dollars. I bought a top for a New Year’s Eve party and I have rented a dress from here for a themed ball, where there was an incredible selection to choose from, at a great rental price. I had the best experience trying different things on and looking at accessories to match. Thank you so much Vesper!!

What a fabulous shop. I am not a normal size customer and find it very difficult to find shoes or clothes that will fit me. most shops don’t even try. Not so Vesper! With humour and a great eye she found things for me to try and made me feel special and comfortable. the whole experience was a totally positive one and I cannot thank her enough for how she made me feel. This Aladdin's Cave of designer, antique and quality vintage has become one of my go to's for clients looking to stand out from the crowd be it for a party, raceday, wedding or red carpet including the Oscars!

The selection of vintage clothing at this shop is truly rare/unique. Very carefully curated, there will be so many items you'll love/covet. Never seen before. And owner Vesper is a gem, very good at what she does, an exquisite eye, highly creative, compassionate + very good at shifting merchandise. You'll have loads of fun!

I’ve been shopping at Constantine Rex for the last year and every time I go in there is amazing new stock, I’ve rented for many occasions and it has made buying proper designer clothes and supporting slow fashion accessible for someone like me on a smaller budget. I’ve built a collection of timeless, beautifully made clothes without spending a fortune. Vesper has always made such an effort to help me find the right thing for a right event, she has become a great friend and her passion for the shop is heart warming. ❤️ Constantine Rex is my favourite thing about Tetbury!!
