Following on from my review last week, an engineer came on Monday as arranged and he actually knew what he was doing. Well done Mohamed! 5 stars!
As far as 'reaching out' by email to CES so that they can speak to me and work out a plan to resolve the ongoing issues promptly, I am still waiting! I had a call on Monday morning to arrange an engineer to come and sort the heating out, but we already had an appointment which was fulfilled. What about the issue with the extractor fans? Where is the plan for resolving that issue? And so it continues.

My experience with Consumer Energy Solutions has been extremely poor and distressing.
The workmanship under their grant-aided ECO scheme was substandard. What was meant to be a two-week job turned into six months of repeated visits, ongoing disruption, and damage to my home. CES had to be called back multiple times to correct their own faulty work and repair issues arising from it.
I also experienced items going missing from my property, which was extremely upsetting and unacceptable.
More recently, I was left without heating in freezing conditions. I was told an engineer was on his way and waited in all day. When I called to check, I was told the engineer was stuck in traffic. Several hours later, when I eventually managed to get through again, I was told that this was not the case and that they had not been able to reach the engineer at all. No one arrived and no clear explanation was given.
During this time there was also water penetration into an electrical appliance, which is a serious safety concern, yet no urgent response was provided.
The inconsistent information, missed appointments, lack of communication, and failure to act promptly on serious and potentially dangerous issues shows a disregard for customers and their safety. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Consumer Energy Solutions.

It's going to be cold this Christmas thanks to CES!
The install might have been ok, but the after service care leaves a lot to be desired!
Having bought a property with an install by CES which is under 2yrs old, we've been without heating for almost 3 weeks now.
I have a 1yr old and a 3yr old and have had 3 engineers visit, all of them have been very nice but none have left us a working heating system! Looks like we're going to be cold this Christmas thanks to CES!!!
Update: I've been contacting the after care team daily! 4th engineer visit today and still no heating, new part needs to be ordered. I dont see how inheriting a system < 2yrs old has anything to do with trouble shooting an issue...

Lack of clarity across the board
Lack of clarity across the board, from initial surveys to completion of the various aspects of the instalation, plans were changed without any warnings; You think you are getting one thing and they deliver something else.
Time from getting grant approval to the various surveys to starting work took 5 months and I had to chase and follow this up as CES were not forthcoming.
All departments work individually with no one or department in overall control. Attic insulation was fitted then ripped up so the plumbers could fit radiators and pipework and not replaced where it should have been. You raise a query and it takes weeks to get an answer if they can be bothered or they say they will contact you and they don't. They have 1 number and it can take on average 20 minutes to get a response.
I had a full grant for solar panels, air source heat pump, new radiators, loft and cavity wall insulation and inverter, and I paid for 3xbatteries (total 17.8kwh)
I would not consider using this company again.

14 months of grief and stress!
My congratulations to Richard and Craig; two very knowledgeable, professional and expert engineers! They identified my ongoing problemâs quickly last Thursday and Friday! And definitely have sorted them! Firstly, they identified the Heat Pump did not work from the day it was installed on 7th October 2024; as the pump was broken. Secondly, this in turn had affected the workings of the new Worcester boiler. In short it hasnât ever worked properly! (They also fitted a Buffer Vessel which they reassured me was necessary as the whole system hadnât worked since it was installed?). Over the next two months several teams still fiddled with the wrongly fitted electrics, pipes round the wrong way, leaks, constant loss of pressure and 24/7 with the boiler constantly âsimmeringâ? Which consequently uplifted my normal monthly energy bill by £45? After more âfiddlingâ by contractors I decided to switch the whole system off on the 1st December 2024. Despite me complaining via emails that as a vulnerable person the house was very cold and uncomfortable the CSE response has been slow? Thereâs still outstanding problems to be addressed. This has been a stressful 14 months with no heat. At 76, getting over major cancer I am classed as being âA vulnerable adult with protected characteristicsâ. Because of the astute proven skills of Richard and Craig my heating is back on!!! The house is drying out and Iâm feeling ânormalâ.

Surveyor, Jordan Boyle, showed up late on 1/12/2025. Damaged my staircase and wall, all stained heavily with black marks. He took pictures and promised to get a deep clean service asap the next day.
I have had no response from them since then. It has been 15 full days to today's date: 15/12/2025.
They have a compliant and after care teams but I am not allowed to talk to them! They give you an email and that is it. No communication nothing.
For 15 days and counting, I see the damaged walls and staircase.
They only care about doing your survey and I have received many calls to book the survey but now not a single call back.
I am taking legal actions as a consumer I have rights.
