Excellent place to get timber, especially Douglas Fir. Much better wood than the crap imported by B&Q etc. and a better price. Trees are grown, felled and sawn on the site, 100% Dorset Wood.

Conygar Timber mills and sells timber. Most of the timber we mill comes from the woodand adjacent to our sawmill. We can supply anything from battens to beams, boards, planks and posts. The woodland that we are working is a "planted ancient woodland" and we're taking out the conifers to replant with broadleaf woodland. We also carry out timber design and build projects including: cladding, pergolas, garden rooms and garages.

Wood yard with a positive difference

The wood is splendid; the colour and even the smell of the fresh timber is special. Dominic and team offered huge and enthusiastic support/design tips helping make my (unique) DIY shed project happen. The timber comes from the wood next door to the yard. I understand they are extracting sustainably from the stock that is present and enhancing the woodland. With very very low 'timber miles' - all good.

What a lovely chap!!!

Lovely company to deal with not much Dominic doesn’t know about wood!!! I had questions and he had the answers. Totally at ease and happy with my choice of using this company! Highly recommend

Awesome job

Awesome job - has really made a huge difference to the appearance of our HQ here in Sturminster Newton. The guys were great to have on site and were a real pleasure to work with.

We are opening our garden this year for…

We are opening our garden this year for the National Gardens Scheme and our raised beds made from scaffolding boards many years ago are showing their age. Conygar cut their planks square to our dimensions and all we have to do is join them together - filling with manure is the next job! Come and see them on the first weekend in July at Tumblins near Blandford Forum.
