Excellent place to get timber, especially Douglas Fir. Much better wood than the crap imported by B&Q etc. and a better price. Trees are grown, felled and sawn on the site, 100% Dorset Wood.

Conygar Timber mills and sells timber. Most of the timber we mill comes from the woodand adjacent to our sawmill. We can supply anything from battens to beams, boards, planks and posts. The woodland that we are working is a "planted ancient woodland" and we're taking out the conifers to replant with broadleaf woodland. We also carry out timber design and build projects including: cladding, pergolas, garden rooms and garages.

Garden kitchen

Today we received delivery of our outdoor kitchen. We saw it at the amazing Oak Fair at the weekend. We immediately saw the quality of the Douglas fir and loved the design of the log building which will become our garden kitchen overlooking our pond. We were impressed with Dominics knowledge and love for wood. He was very helpful and reliable. We will have to start thinking of another project! Thank-you Julia and Paul Taunton

Professional craftsmanship - local and sustainable

Working with Conygar in a challenging environment has been a pleasure. The professional expertise and quality of the craftsmanship, attention to detail and using the timber to its fullest potential makes the project with Conygar a happy experience. The design of our replacement outbuildings will look amazing for years to come. Part of the property we live in which we have fully renovated is over 400 years old and the replacement outbuildings sit in total harmony with the main home.
