Terribly difficult to deal with
Ok they have cute cheap clothes. Love their little t-shirts. Paid with AfterPay online. Said returns taken in store. THEY WOULDNT TAKE IT, not for a refund, not for store credit. Snotty Asst Mgr said their system âwas too old.â I picked up their tabletop sign that read, âReturns with no questions.â She began speaking Spanish to the other worker. About me. I snapped at her in Spanish, âI speak Spanish too, b*%?â¬!!â
She looked shocked. Still trying to return the clothes.
No Gift Card Redemption!!
Hi there, your Torquay store, whilst filled with lovely staff and lovely things, cannot redeem gift vouchers. Apparently itâs been an issue for some time. Not good enough. Iâve had to spend my money ($72.00) whilst my granddaughter had a number of valid cards from her birthday. Yes I could have told her to put things back but she was very excited about her birthday shopping spree and I didnât think that was an option for me. So, I believe a refund of my dollars is a reasonable request. Looking forward to hearing from you.

I have not received a refund despite following up 3 times already. The item was also returned using their own Royal Mail tracked label and I can see they have received it.

The worst !!
Yesterday, I went shopping at Cotton On in the Bridgewater Mall, and I have to be honest â the staff were very unfriendly. I tried to return a T-shirt, which initially was not allowed. After asking multiple times, it suddenly was accepted. Since I had paid for the shirt using Afterpay, their screen then said the return was not possible. I seriously donât understand why this is the case. Why can stores like Macyâs or Bloomingdaleâs handle returns differently? Why canât you?
I have now read many online reviews reporting very poor customer service, and I can say I will definitely not be shopping here again. It was a very negative experience â the staff were clearly unwilling to help, and I even noticed smirks on their faces, as if they enjoyed refusing assistance.
Now I have to return the T-shirt online, and I see from other customersâ experiences that some people havenât received their refunds even after a month. Let me be clear: if I do not get my refund, I will consider taking legal action. This is unacceptable.

I buy from Cotton On in New Zealand. I buy most of my women's panties from them. Their range of styles, colours and fabrics is amazing. Their customer service is excellent. They are not judgemental and assist me courteously when I require answers to my questions. Their web site has a "dimensions" tab which gives accurate measurements for each panty so customers do not have to guess whether the panties will fit or not. I find this feature extremely helpful. As a man who prefers women's panties, I need accurate measurements to find the correct fit. Their panties are very comfortable which is why I wear them. They last a very long time. All styles and fabrics last me a very long time. I will always make Cotton On my first choice for panties. Another thing is they are excellent value.
Misleading website
I was looking for cotton socks and found some on this site. Prompted to save 20% by signing up I received a discount code, which I was unable to use against the items I wanted to purchase. So I went ahead placed the order paid £4 for shipping of 2 very thin pairs of socks.
Sadly upon receipt the colour is peach not pink, so I initiated a return. Low and behold I have to ship back via Evri but I have to print a label. Who doesn't issue QR codes these days?
Hopefully I'm not going to have to pay the return cost too or these will be the most expensive socks I've ever bought!
Overall my experience has been disappointing and I will not be ordering again.

Brought two pairs of jeans online sizes were size 10 for both, I checked out the size chart before I added to cart even done a size check elsewhere for second opinion and before adding to cart i made sure there was no other information on page for AU or UK sizes which gave no indication. Once delivered opened up package and was shocked to see both Jeans one size was bigger then the other and the other was smaller and both were supposed to be the same size and the material is so shyyt and made in Bangladesh. I would have approved of AUS or China, but no and my body is built of big bones not twigs. Never trust online purchases

Poor quality clothing. I am chasing a refund for 2 tops, one with poor stitching which has unraveled and another who had a series of rips in the sleeve after 1 use.

Donât order from Cotton On if you want to return items, to get in contact with them is incredibly difficult and then they just donât contact you back when they say they will. Warehouse received my return over a month ago now, havenât seen my refund.

SUMMARY: Order was lost after no communication from company for 2 weeks, refund is still yet to be given to me after almost 2 months of back and forth.
This is the worst experience I've ever had with a clothing company and would STRONGLY advise against using them. It honestly feels like a skam. As stated my order was lost after 2 weeks of no communication, so they offered me a refund. after another 2 weeks of no refund I contacted them, and they sent me a 'refund receipt' to a different bank account! I have now been in back and forth with the customer service team in an attempt to prove that they sent it to the wrong account. I am unable to prove the money came from my bank card (not to be mistaken for my account number) as my bank doesn't produce such documents. It feels as though they are going to get away with not paying me back. What does this sound like? A SKAM. They are scammers who will take your money and make you jump through hoops to get it back.

Disappointed with Customer Service at Oran Park Store
As a loyal Cotton On customer who was excited to finally have a store in Oran Park, my first visit unfortunately left me very disappointed. Iâve shopped frequently at the Macarthur, Narallen and DFO stores, purchasing items for my family overseas, and have always appreciated the brandâs quality and serviceâuntil today.
During my visit, I politely asked the store manager whether the ABN number was the same across all Cotton On stores, as is common with many major retail brands. Instead of providing a simple clarification, I was met with a surprisingly rude and dismissive response. She claimed not to know the ABN and refused to even check or acknowledge the invoice I showed from another location. She insisted that the ABN was somehow âprivateâ informationâdespite it clearly being printed on receipts, which are public documents.
Her attitude was unprofessional and made me feel unwelcome as a customer. Rather than offering any help, she sarcastically told me to âbuy something and youâll find out.â
Itâs unfortunate when poor customer service overshadows a great brand. I hope Cotton On takes this feedback seriously and provides better training to ensure respectful, informed, and courteous treatment of all customers.
Dodgy Returns Policy
I purchased items online that I realised were too small. The returns policy states that you can return items at any time, and since I was on holiday, this was great. However, after one week of returning my items, they had sent the items back to me with a note saying I took more than 28 days to return. Nowhere on their site does it mention this, so I feel like I've been scammed.

Visited the store today to return 2 unsuitable items with receipt and in original condition. The girl serving me at POS was rude and made no eye contact. I appreciate that I was returning and not purchasing but it felt like she was not pleased to be helping me. As I left o thanked her and she ignored me and called the next customer.
As a head of retail for another retailer, I would not be happy if this was the levels of service given to a customer. Itâs important to remember that a smile and eye contact is the most basic expectation.

Poor quality clothes. Also, I brought two of the same tops, the same size, just different colours and one was larger than the other. Threads out everywhere. Swimming costume I ordered didn't fit right either, tried a few different sizes. Very ill fitting. And very poor customer service.

Good experience with on line order
I ordered 5 items: T-shirts for my husband and myself. All were very good quality, well made, soft and comfortable. The shipping was slow but I think that was UPS' fault. They rerouted my package several times but I finally received it 10 days after my purchase. All good.
What a shambles
I sent back an item and never received any acknowledgement of it or a refund. I paid through a third party who demanded payment as Cotton On had not acknowledged the return. I chased customer service so many times, but each time received no help and my case was immediately closed each time (this happened three times). I will never order anything from this company again and I would advise you to do the same!
