The support by the telephone staff was very helpful, and constructive. So I have no issue there.
However, I had need to make phone contact as the time valid Voucher was not being accepted by the online booking system. It would appear that the booked location (Rushton Hall) had dropped out of your portfolio, but this was not indicated on the booking website, or any explanation of the issue. So, can I suggest that if such a Voucher code issue arises again, that you create an automated message to all the time valid Voucher owners informing them immediately of the problem, and what the solution may be. Just a suggestion, as it was quite disconcerting to realise an issue when the Voucher value was significant.

I'm concerned that this is a fraudulent site. I've been promised a refund which is my legal right , two weeks later nothing and just told "it's being chased" . Hopefully my bank fraud service will help . I think it's a scam website 😕

Booked a three break at a spa resort in Kettering for our wedding anniversary. Pai upfront in Febuary for the break in August. Three weeks ago got an email stating booking had been cancelled for "operational " reasons. I requested a refund for of my money but despite a number of emails I still have not been refunded. Intending to contact Bank fraud division to resolve this matter. Beware of using this site

I had dealings with Sophia and Paula who were both very diligent. My booking required a little liaising over a few days because of specific requirements. So I'm now looking forward to a lovely few days away with friends!

I was given an £800 paper voucher (no email) that I mislaid. I was absent from the UK for 4 months and the voucher was put somewhere 'safe'. I subsequently couldn't find it for a long time and when I did it was 6 weeks past the expiry. I wrote asking for an extension and was refused, I was quoted theirs T&Cs only. It's a lot of money for me to lose and for them to profit by.

Terrible customer support. The stay we booked ended up being different than promised (with significant lack of amenities) because of a renovation of the structure. We were only in touch with Country Hotel Breaks before the stay (never with the Hotel directly) and, although aware of these changes, they never told us about them. They now try to blame the hotel and will not provide compensation.

I think the website is very clunky. The navigation isn’t very intuitive. For example, the homepage shows a featured stay (and a bunch of hotels listed below) The amount of information is chaotic and isn’t personalised to what I’m looking for at all. Something like a clear place to enter in a location, dates and number of guests would help me narrow down what I’m looking for. This doesn’t even seem to be an option anywhere on the website (and if it is, it’s not easy to navigate to).

I think it’s manageable enough but I’m not excited to look through the website at different options and have booked something that’s “close enough” to what we were looking for (as we had a voucher).

The hotel we booked had unclear tiers as well. Some rooms didn’t have anything next to them, while others were labeled “standard”. Quite confusing.

Price was good, even without the voucher.

All in all, an improved customer journey on the website would really help the initial shopping around process and see through to a booking.

Received a voucher as a gift but when I went to redeem it the hotel had withdrawn its offer, surely once booked it should be honoured. Converted the voucher to a cash value and rebooked.

Too many hidden charges made the whole experience of booking very frustrating.

I had to cancel a voucher and contacted the company & after three days the matter was resolved. Very pleased with customer service

Hub and I bought a voucher for my Mum and Stepdad. They had such a wonderful time, that it was a no brainer when Mum's 70th came up, this would be the most appropriate gift. We were offered bubbles for a small additional fee, so one would assume, that they had every intention of making their guests welcome.

What transpired, was far from the welcome my Mum received. It was heart wrenching when she called me in tears saying that after the worst journey there, they hadn't kept the room. Why? Because the hotel hadn't been paid by Country Hotel Breaks. We don't blame the hotel, especially when they tell us this wasn't the first time. They were good enough to offer a free glass of wine whilst they attempted to get back in touch with Country Hotel Breaks. The hotel didn't have Mum's contact details so couldn't tell her that the voucher wasn't valid.

I tried to call Country Hotel Breaks, and guess what? Answer machine. Mum eventually found an email and talked to someone called Mary. She was wonderful and I will always be grateful to her. It ended with us putting the room on another credit card , whilst Mary did everything to refund my card.

They sent an apology, no compensation and still insist on sending promotions, that they presumably can't afford. Whether the company has gone into liquidation or in trouble generally , I'll never know.
