Online order
Honestly part of my review may be due to the rush of Halloween. I placed an online order on a Tuesday and had to make a follow up phone call on the Wednesday to confirm my order. On the phone call, I was informed they “lost” the item, however they offered to replace it with another item which was similar.
Overall grateful they offered a swap, however the business itself seems to lack structure and organisation especially around a busy time.
It was neither a good nor bad experience but I did want to say Chris (I think that’s how it’s spelt) was extremely helpful so thank you.

Tried to return my costume as it did…
Tried to return my costume as it did not fit. emailed 3 times as per website instructions, with no replies. Also emailed tracking and have heard nothing. Very poor customer service.

Sorry to hear about your poor experience with a return. We do our best to get back to people ASAP with these issues so are saddened to hear you were unhappy.
We have had a good look through our emails and cannot locate any from your email address. It may have bounced or is it possible that your email regarding the refund was send to the incorrect email address? Sometimes it is tricky with the 'costume' vs. 'costumes' part in our email, so that is totally understandable!
Otherwise, the easiest way to contact us is via phone on 07 38705881.
The refund was processed as soon as we received the costume, so let us know if there are any issues in that regard.

I ordered some costume accessories on line from your store. The website is very easy to manoeuvre around.
I cannot believe how quickly the parcel arrived. Everything was exactly as seen on the website.

Poor instore experience
Five stars for your online shopping experience.
Great search engine
Easy ordering process.
Three stars instore.
We stood and waited for over 7 minutes to be served.
No one spoke to us and the young woman (who sat at the computer behind the desk completely ignored us)
After 7 minutes of waiting (I had to be at Riverfire for work by 2:45pm) I politely asked if we could pick up our order.
The young woman mumbled a complaint about not working, but begrudgingly stated she could help us with that "maybe". She asked for a name, by which I explained the order did not ask for one, but I could give her the confirmation code.
She again looked at me and requested a name.
I again politely responded that the order did not ask for a name, but gave her the order confirmation number.
A older woman helping another customer with costume fittings stated that this was correct and confirmed our order.
We walked out of the store 10 minutes later.
I would definitely just opt for postage in future.
My first time instore experience was not very positive for a simple "pick up"

A costume for book week
I searched high and low the week before book week for a dog costume for my two year old. This was the only store I could find the right look and size. Great selection of costumes but prices are quite high. My item was posted express and received in good time. The only complaint I had would be the picture of the costume didn’t entirely match what was received, as in the collar tag was not metal as expected, just material stitched on.

Incorrect sizing stated by company
My autistic boy was devasted at book week when we realised that the costume meant to fit size 12 to 14 was actually more suited to size 6. This caused lots of stress to my child and myself. The sizing is not as it states... I do not recommend!!!!

Very sorry to hear that the costume did not work out. You are more than welcome to send it back for a refund, and we are happy to discuss any sizing concerns over the phone prior to sending costumes out to avoid this confusion.
The costume ordered was stated as a child's medium with the following measurements (that were provided by the costume supplier): Height - 120-130cm, Chest - 67cm, Waist - 60cm, Hips - 72cm. Not to sure where the confusion with the age has come from, but we have added an approximate age to make this sizing apparently clear.
Again very sorry that your child has suffered distress over this and for any undue stress this has caused you, that is definitely not our intent. We are more than happy to work with you to find a solution.

The costume hired wasn't available
I would give a zero but it isn't an option.
I ordered a costume for a certain day which your website said was available. I paid the amount. Then receive an email the following day saying it isn't available but do i want to buy it for $110.
Short answer, no!!

So sorry to hear you are dissatisfied. Unfortunately our system does not allow for management of hire costume stock levels.
We are a very small team and do our best to get back to customers as soon as possible, though we are not open on Sundays or after 5:30pm.
Definitely understand that the $110 to buy a brand new costume is steep. Unfortunately official character costumes are (frustratingly) quite expensive. More than happy to discuss any other alternatives with you over the phone during business hours.
