Avoid like the plague. I have been scammed out of my deposit. Horrible experience. Tried to extract more money. I never received any draft of my work. Kept me waiting for weeks and then abandoned my project. It could have been worse. They wanted my Amazon account details, including my password. Please note how this played out in the following email exchange when I consulted Google:

Here is the misunderstanding!
We asked for it because when we upload the book to KDP account it will have some revisions to add as per the Amazon Policies.

We only required your KDP account in order to verify the manuscript as per the Amazon terms and conditions. Otherwise, it will not be formatted accordingly, however if you would like to upload on your own and do revisions, it is up to you.

We can cater the discussed changes manually.

Google search
No, a KDP copywriter or any other freelancer/service provider does not need to sign into your KDP account, and you should never provide them with your login credentials. Doing so violates the Amazon KDP Terms and Conditions and can result in your account being permanently terminated. Why You Should Not Share Your Login Info
Account Termination: Amazon strictly prohibits sharing your account access with anyone else.

Security Risk: Giving someone your login details also grants them access to your personal information, including your banking and tax details, which they could change to reroute your royalties.
Scam Indicator: Legitimate professionals and publishers know not to ask for your KDP login information. Any service that requests it is likely a scam

Don't trust them!! they refund policy is a LIE.
I confirmed them a visa for the refund. They made a mistake and refunded to another visa (mistake accepted for their part) and since that visa was canceled and the bank account canceled I lost the money. Because they thought that I should contact the bank which they mistakly send the refund to fix it... Their mistake, an account that doesnt exist.
99designs is much reliable. And I have the email of all as a proof...

EDIT: they said they send the money to the right account, but they made the mistake to send it to another… procedure or not, they said it will be send there, they didnt asked.
I have the confirmation email from Revolut that the money will be sent back to them as it was sent to a terminate account. DesingCrown: This is breaking ur moneyback guarantee!

Lowball Quotes & Aditional Money Requests....
Was contacted after requesting a website designer. Price was quoted and we proceeded. 1 month delivery promised but 2 moths later our website still not finish. Very unprofessional. And threatening us that we dispute refund when we don’t get our website delivered over almost 2 months of wating.

30 days later they requested additional funds (above the original quoted amount) to complete the site 'to our satisfaction'.

30days later they requested additional fund or the website would not function.This was NEVER DISCUSSED or DISCLOSED when they did the 'scope of work' quote.

At that time I requested a refund,
They refused to refund and we are disputing the charges with our credit card processor.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

I've been working with Crown Design Lane for about two years. Website design can be costly, but Crown has built a very nice website for my business at a cost that I can afford. After completing the website in December 2024, they agreed to update our newsletter and promotions on the website for an affordable annual fee. I'm very pleased with their work.

Patricia Connor manages my account. She's done a great job listening to my feedback and resolving my concerns. Patricia and her developers have solved very difficult programming issues, and they fixed the website when it went down because of a change I made at our domain's registry.

Patricia has been nothing but positive the entire time I've worked with her. She's great, and I'm thankful she's the person Crown Design assigned to my account. I'm not a tech person. Patricia and her developers have made building a website quite a bit easier for me. I appreciate their effort to do a good job for my business.

Crown Design Lane staff worked with my company to update my website and they did an awesome job.

I am beyond unsatisfied with my choice to utilize Crown Design Lane. They are unprofessional, unresponsive, and constantly require more money without anything being output. Requests are not followed, follow-up is nonexistent and they miss meetings they schedule frequently! I have paid thousands and haven't made a sell due to the horrible site functionality and app that has NEVER appeared.

Chris and his team were amazing with doing my site. My previous website company would take days and even weeks to return emails, make changes and get things done. Crown Design was very prompt handling changes I needed to make. I would highly recommend it for anyone that wants a professional quality website and great customer service

I was looking for assistance with website design/development via a platform called Bark. Kevin Moss initially contacted me from this company, but I had read a bad review about him on Trustpilot so I was steering clear. Then Chris Eckens reached out. He was professional, informative, and patient. He spent time emailing several times, answering numerous questions to help me understand the process from start to finish. He shared information about what would be included and how the designers would work. He also worked with me financially to meet my limited budget without sacrificing quality. I felt like I would have a great website that served my needs. If a dramatic change in my situation had not occurred, I would have had to toss a coin between Crown Design Lane and another company that was also supportive. Both presented quality products and amazing customer support. I have to say, having interacted with multiple developers (via Bark), few were willing to devote the time and energy that Chris did to assist me, and this was without a contract. I felt he was helping simply to help me, not cinch a deal. I am posting this review because I almost let one person's negative review impact my perspective without considering others who had shared positive experiences with other company members. And, because I am grateful for Chris's time and commitment.

This company has been spamming me. I received 3 unsolicited calls claiming that they were responding to a request for their services. I had made no such request. I receive text messages from them trying to get in contact with me. I then received an email to which I replied with an unsubscribe message. A week later, the company emailed me again.

James Anderson saved the day....
We hired Crown Design Lane to redo our book cover to new sizing and create an index for our book. In the contract, turnaround time for the cover was quoted as 2 days—it actually took 30 days to complete.
The turnaround time for the indexing was quoted as 2-3 weeks—it actually took 5-months to complete. At one point, we were asked to please be patient as their office was undergoing re-organization. Weeks kept going by--we were told to be patient.

Finally, James Anderson stepped in and brought this project to completion within two-weeks. James finished the index, sized it properly and followed through by taking care of all the small details so we could upload it onto Amazon KDP. It is now published thanks to James Anderson.
