I am just finishing off my level 3 early years practitioner apprenticeship, my assessor Donna was really helpful in ensuring my work was properly completed and helped me to understand areas where I was struggling. I only had 3 observations throughout my whole apprenticeship (1 year and 4 months) which hasn't particularly helped as during my last observation I was very unaware of what to expect and I am still unaware of what to expect for my EPA.

I have now completed two courses with CT Skills. Level 3 Counselling Skills and Level 2 Understanding Behaviour that Challenges. Janet Henderson has been my tutor for both and she is wonderful. I have physical disabilities, as well as Dyslexia and she has been so understanding and supportive. She always marks my work quickly and gives really encouraging feedback. I wasn’t diagnosed with Dyslexia until my mid thirties and so my time at school was horrendous and the reason I didn’t seek to go to university. I believed I couldn’t do it. The feedback I had had from Janet makes me believe I can achieve what I want to. I highly recommend CT Skills.

I would not recommend this course provider to anyone, especially vulnerable learners or people on benefits who are trying to improve their situation through training.

My experience of the Data Protection Level 2 course was appalling. The course materials were extremely minimal, broad, outdated, and lacking in the detail actually needed to answer the assessment questions properly. I was repeatedly expected to produce highly detailed, in-depth answers, yet the learning material itself did not provide enough information to do that. It felt like I was being assessed against standards that the course had never actually taught.

The feedback was equally poor. Instead of meaningful guidance, I was often met with vague comments such as “needs more detail”, despite the fact that the course content itself was generalised, outdated, and wholly insufficient to support the level of detail they were demanding. Learners cannot be expected to “magic up” information that was never properly taught in the first place.

In reality, I learned more about data protection from outside help than I ever did from this course. That completely defeats the point of enrolling on a training programme that is supposed to teach the subject. A provider should equip learners with the knowledge required to succeed, not leave them filling in huge gaps themselves and then penalise them for not meeting unrealistic expectations.

I was also extremely disappointed by the lack of proper support, the poor quality of the course structure, and the failure to take accessibility needs into account, including issues around the software required to complete the course. For a provider dealing with adult learners, many of whom may already be under financial or personal pressure, this is unacceptable.

What made this worse was the sense that the system is stacked against the learner: overwhelming coursework, inadequate teaching, poor feedback, and then financial penalties if you do not complete it. Charging people around £125 for non-completion, after failing to provide adequate teaching and support, feels deeply unfair.

Overall, this course felt outdated, unsupported, inaccessible, and completely disproportionate in what it expected from learners compared with what it actually delivered. I found the whole experience frustrating, demoralising, and honestly exploitative.

Janet was an excellent tutor, responding to my queries very promptly and offering support if needed.

Even though the course was online, she made everything clear and easy to follow. Janet was always supportive, responsive, and provided helpful feedback that really improved my understanding.

I have completed my L3 Business Admin apprenticeship and I'm now heading into my End Point Assessment period. My assessor, Clair, has been absolutely fantastic, being such a positive guide throughout the course. She was always available to chat or answer any questions I may have had, making sure to reassure me and provide valuable advice. I would highly recommend an apprenticeship with Clair as your assessor!

This apprenticeship has been very challenging yet rewarding. I would not have made it through without the help and support from Clair, she brought a calm and reassuring presence that made the overwhelming moments manageable. There was a point where I felt I couldn't continue and gave up but Clair gave me the encouragement and positivity to continue, I am incredibly grateful for everything she has done - she has truly helped me achieve something I once thought wasn't possible.

I’ve had a really positive experience with CT Skills. The training was well structured, supportive, and easy to engage with alongside work.
My tutor, Jo Green was excellent – knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping me succeed. She explained things clearly, was always supportive, and made the learning experience feel manageable and motivating.
I would happily recommend CT Skills, and especially Jo, to anyone considering training or an apprenticeship.

My BF did his Accountancy apprenticeship with these, they gave him the BPP platform then bullied him through it, constantly emailing telling him he was behind. His review person was nagging him to sit exams before he was due or ready, telling him about his tutor health problems and telling him to move to another tutor, who only worked part time. He was being told ehat to put in a portfolio by someone called Janet who had no experience or Accountancy qualifications. All Janet did was pull other people down. He left without finishing it was that bad. It was horrible and I wouldn't recommend 😔

Anyone who has the luck of having a Tutor like mine are going to experience encouragement, support and feel able to achieve these challenging goals on the way ! Emma has shaped who i am and to be half the woman she is i would be lucky!!

Great courses supplied with lots of support when needed. I have completed Level 2 Leadership and Level 2 mental health awareness and Janet Henderson supported me on both courses.

Janet and the rest of the CT Skills team were very helpful and supportive throughout my apprenticeship and I wouldn't have been able to complete my apprenticeship without their constant support and guidance.

I had Janet as my tutor and she very much helped especially when i got stuck on certain questions, she took the time out to help me and was always there when i needed my questioned answered and when she sends resubmissions back its always very understanding of what i needed to added or didn't need to add. Overall i recommend having Janet as your tutor she does everything in her power to make sure you have completed it and is always on hand when you need her.

I have enjoyed my whole apprenticeship with my assessor, Lucy. She has taught me so much and also helped me build my confidence throughout the years.

I recently completed the Level 3 Teaching Assistant course with Kaylie as the trainer, and I can honestly say it was one of the most rewarding professional development experiences I’ve had.

From the very beginning, Kaylie created a welcoming and supportive learning environment. She explained the course structure clearly, set realistic expectations, and ensured everyone felt comfortable contributing. Her depth of knowledge about the role of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant was evident throughout, and she consistently linked theory to real classroom practice, which made the content highly relevant and easy to apply.

One of the standout aspects of the course was Kaylie’s delivery style. She balanced professionalism with approachability, encouraging discussion and valuing everyone’s experiences. Complex topics such as safeguarding, supporting children with additional needs, and promoting positive behaviour were broken down into manageable sections, making them easier to understand and implement. She also provided practical examples and scenarios that reflected real school settings, which helped build confidence.

Kaylie was incredibly supportive with assignments and coursework. Her feedback was constructive, detailed, and motivating. She took the time to ensure everyone understood the requirements and was always available to answer questions or provide clarification when needed.

Overall, the Level 3 Teaching Assistant course was well-structured, informative, and empowering. Kaylie’s enthusiasm, expertise, and dedication made a significant difference to my learning experience. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to develop their skills and confidence as a Teaching Assistant.

Great tutors and support which made the apprenticeship experience enjoyable and straightforward.

I completed my Level 3 team leader/supervisor apprenticeship with my assessor Ian Peal. He was so supportive throughout and managed to turn any nervousness into confidence for the next step. After having my assessor changed mid way through I am grateful that it was Ian, he gave my flexibility where needed, extra calls/ support before my EPA and guided me to be able to achieve a distinction. Thank you Ian, you are much appreciated!
