Cuban Adventures was superior in organization, professionalism, and operation of our trip to Cuba. The communications with the pre-departure team was good. The tour guide and driver who led our 9-day Cuban Life tour were exceptional. The on-the-ground attention was personalized and thoughtful. The accommodations exceeded our expectations. The Cuban people are a delight.

I usually have no interest in tours. I don't get much out of the "go here, take this picture, go here, take this picture" kind of situation. But my friends and I got a recommendation for Cuban Adventures specifically, so we signed up for the Habana Vieja walking tour with Diana and the LGBT+ tour with Yasiel, and I could not recommend them enough. In both cases, the tours were well-organized without feeling stiff; the guides were knowledgeable but also super candid and conversational; and the entire experience left my group feeling like we got more than the "tourist" view, rather, we actually got to connect meaningfully with a local. The walking tour with Diana, both with the planned sites and the conversations we had along the way, answered so many questions - and sparked new ones! - that my friends and I had, and the lunch at the end was a great addition to allow us to continue our conversations. The LGBT+ started with a great dinner and conversation - we talked about queer history, culture, and life, of course, and we got along so well with the hosts that we ended up talking about so much more! - and the "nightlife" part of the evening was easily the best drag I've ever seen in my life. Instead of the "go here, take this picture, go here, take this picture," both tours were more like, "here's a new friend who also is super knowledgeable, now go have an experience that is fun, educational, and memorable!"

We loved our cycle trip in Cuba with Cuban Adventures. The tour was well organized, our guide spoke fluent English and was knowledgeable of all the areas we visited giving us the history of each new town we visited. We were able to see Cuba from our bikes and also from the comfort of the bus, letting us cover greater distances and visit some amazing places. We found the Cuban people to be friendly and colorful. The places we stayed were comfortable and the hosts very friendly. We would highly recommend going on a tour with Cuban Adventures.

Our tour with Cuban Adventures was nothing less than spectacular ! Our guide was fully fluent in English and had an understanding of Cuban history , Cuban historical figures as well as a deep understanding of what a first time tourist seeks in a guide .
He was perfect !

We opted for an upgrade to our accommodations and the additional cost was well worth the expense - all our stays were lovely, and since we were in Cuba during July we needed the comforts .

The transportation/bus was modern and even was supplied with additional water for our comfort.

Classic Cuba 15 day trip gave my husband and me an INCREDIBLE overview of several of the cities, culture and people of Cuba. A beautiful, challenging, humbling and hopeful combination as we explored the streets, passed the countryside, met the people and marveled at the architechture, past and present (re-habed and not). Often we felt like we were on a movie set, stuck in time. Each city had it's own vibe, with Baracoa, Santiago, Trinadad, Cienfuegos and of course, Havana, an important place to see. The blackouts, outside of Havana, added to our understanding of a few of the challenges of life of the Cuban people. But, we were prepared! Cuban Adventures website, communications and FB page helped us overcome questions and smoothed the way for a great trip. As the only 2 on our trip (low season?), we had 100% of the attention and enthusiasm of our guide, Benny and capable driver, Emilio. Knowing some Spanish, bringing items to donate, light clothes, chargable fans and a flexible, open mind made all the difference. We can highly recommend this organization and our experience with Cuban Adventures on the Classic Cuba trip.

Estefan, our Cuban Adventures guide, is so well-versed in the culture and history of Havana. Plus he has excellent language translation skills. It was obvious that his personal relationships with the people at our destinations and also with our driver made for a richer overall experience. I really can't say enough about Cuban Adventures. Our pre-tour support and our in-city guide made the tours feel personal and we got an intimate look at business, arts and life in the city.

Cuban adventures offers comprehensive high quality tours. They are the number one go-to for Havana. You can book online, which is an advantage, since you can't use U.S. credit cards in Cuba (stupid sanctions that are cruel and make so sense). This company is helpful and its tour guides very knowledgable.

Going to Cuba can be a daunting experience on your own. Thats why we chose Cuban Adventures. We did upgrade to premium lodging and that paid off. Lovely places with fantastic people! Habana, Cienfuegos, Santa Clara, and the festival at Remedios followed by three days in Trinidad. Give it a go.

We are over 70 and have wanted to visit Cuba for years but thought it wasn't possible due to US Government restrictions. Cuban Adventures provided excellent documentation on how to legally visit Cuba. We spent six day and hope to return again. Our guide Daniela and our driver Raul were outstanding. We rode bicycles together and took salsa lessons together. We tried Cuban food and drank Cuban drinks. Highly recommend!

Terrific guides and excellent activities and destinations. Cuba Adventures created an itinerary with amazing historical locations, tasty cooking, beautiful art and architecture and a chance to experience the wonderful Cuban people. Yes, we did have to deal with some power outages and bad roads, but the care and attention of our guides outweighed the inconvenience. It was a life changing vacation, and I hope to visit this beautiful country again.

Cuban Adventures handled everything so well. I never felt unsafe or worried. I can't stress enough how incredible the trip was. Our guide (Yu Yu) and driver (Yoelle) were delightful, the locations and restaurants were so amazing and the owners of the guest houses were lovely. I adored Cuba, even with the challenges, it was incredible. I am going to go back in a couple of years with my daughter so she can experience it. I have some recommendations if you are interested.
• Bring a water bottle with a filter. The water is ok for brushing your teeth and showering, etc. We also drank the ice and did not have an issue.
• Bring a flashlight. Even with the grid repaired there are rolling blackouts. It is what it is. Bring a flashlight or a headlamp.
• Bring a lightweight rain jacket. I live in Portland and never use an umbrella. They're annoying to hold and in places like Havana, where it is crowded, they get in the way. I can send some recommendations if you like.
• If you check a bag, it will take about 30 min for you to get it when you land. Everything is on Cuba time, so if you're an uptight former NYC'er like me, you have to take a deep breath and get comfortable with waiting.
• Bring hot sauce
• Bring gifts! Of course it isn't mandatory but if you have an ounce of empathy you will want to bring supplies to the Cuban people. My friend and I "travel light", we had a backpack and a duffle bag. Even so, you can bring so many things that are needed. Toothbrushes, tooth paste, packages of tissues, OTC medication, really anything that you take for granted is something they need. I also left things behind that I wasn't going to use again, like a pair of sandals and a shirt I had bought just for the trip. You will be surprised by how little people have, especially when you are out of the cities. Anything you can think of, they can use.
• Lastly, being a good attitude. For any issue that annoys you, the Cuban citizens have to deal with every single day. Lack of fuel, rolling black outs, trash collection, amenities that we are used to in the US and other countries. Whatever annoyance you encounter most likely can't be solved by your guide so it isn't worth complaining. Accept it and work around it. The people make the country and the locations, the vibe, the food, all of it is worth any aggravation you may have.
Have an awesome time! It will be a trip you remember for the rest of your life :)

My visit to Cuba was terrific with Cuban Adventures 7 day cycling tour! Every day was well planned, and being on a bicycle is such a great way to tour! Our trip leader, Rayner was especially awesome!

We spent 8 days on a bespoke tour that included Havana, Pinar del Rio and Trinidad.
Our leaders - Yoanni, Yas, and Janet - were knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate to show us Cuba in a true light.
I've visited 3x previously and this was BY FAR the best trip ever. I'll return in the future only with Cuba Adventures.

First of all, Cuba is a beautiful, fascinating destination. It tells a unique story and offers much to learn for visitors. It is not an easy destination in some ways, but Cuban Adventures made the travel experience practically seamless. Our carefully planned itinerary was followed accurately and efficiently. Any potential problems were averted in advance. Each traveler was treated as an important individual, with specific needs and interests being addressed. Our transportation and lodging were excellent, and the meals were delicious. I plan to use Cuban Adventures for my next trip to Cuba soon.

If you are going to Cuba, you have to go with Cuban Adventures. I did an 8 day cycling trip in April 2024 and it was one of the best experiences of my life! Our local guide was incredible and I learned so much about Cuba and its people. Cuban Adventures really cares about supporting the Cuban people and making sure you have an authentic and meaningful experience. Highly recommend this top-notch company!

The casas owners were extremely welcoming and did everything possible to ensure we had a comfortable stay and fabulous breakfasts.
The driver was an expert at noticing and avoiding any potential hazards on the road and charmingly helpful when the group were getting on and off the coach with luggage. The tour guide Ania was amazing. She explained everything to us in fine detail, answered any questions the group had and always went above and beyond to ensure we all had an experience of a lifetime.

Our trip with Cuban Adventures was the best my family has ever taken. It provided an authentic, exciting and educational experience that we will never forget. Their website clearly explains how to legally travel to Cuba, what documents and procedures are needed, and the reservation process was clear and easy. We experienced historical, artistic, cultural, culinary, business and local sites in Havana and the gorgeous Vinales valley, mountains and caves. Every meal was delicious, including a variety of music, dance, art and a farm-to-table lunch. Our tour guide was experienced, fun, and knowledgeable and kept us, including our 16, 12 and 9 year old daughters, engaged the entire time. I highly recommend the Cuban adventure. I booked the 8-day women-only tour at the very last minute, and it was worth every penny. Both our guide and driver were welcoming and very knowledgeable of everything Cuban. All eight days were planned perfectly well. In every city we went to, there was something to do, and we were always told early on what the options were and advised on the best one, so we could plan ahead or book in advance. If you wanted to stay in or venture out alone, that was also fine.

We are not really tour persons but since it can be difficult for Americans to travel independently and be legal in Cuba, we did tours with Cuban Adventures and were extremely satisfied with our trips and experiences. Their website clearly explains how to legally travel to Cuba, what documents and procedures are needed, and the reservation process was clear and easy. We did a Vinales 4 day “Short Stay” followed by the “15 Day Original Tour”. All the tour guides were experienced, fun, and knowable; the transportation was comfortable and professional; the guest houses were clean and comfortable and run by local families located in the central and interesting parts of towns and cities; the restaurants and food was good; activities we did were interesting and fun; and we got experience and intermix with local Cubans and their lives. Cuba is a fantastic country to visit (!) and if you're thinking of traveling to Cuba we both would highly recommend Cuban Adventures.
