White Hart pub- Sunday lunch- Firstly
White Hart pub- Sunday lunch- Firstly, it was freezing in the back room, no fire lit as it has yet to be repaired. It wasn't cozy at all, take a warm jacket, hat and scarf if i was you! I had to go to the car to get my coat. (it has been like it for year's) and needs to be fixed asap. Or put some heaters in the roomThe table had wonky legs as well.
Sunday lunch-
2 slithers of roast beef, really measly for £23. The veg was not cooked well & very hard including the broccoli cheese which was not cheesy and really thin sauce. The Gravy was OK but a bit tasteless. My friend was given 2 cubes of chicken, yes 2 cubes!
The chef could do with re- training in my opinion, especially in relation to portion size and taste.
The 3 roast potatoes were good and roast parsnip & Carrot. The red Cabbage a tasteless and not much of it. I left hungry :(
Overall it was very disappointing, no ambiance as so cold. We had to go to the main bar to pay as no waiter came though overall they did their job well.
This time the plates were warmed up.
We didn't stay for dessert for obvious reasons.
1 lemonade and lime was £3.50 odd. You pay for the slug of lime, it wasn't very lime tasting either.
As a chef myself, I understand food.
We won't return after this experience.
