They recovered everything from my faulty disk drive!
My SSD drive very suddenly stopped working - the computer no longer recognised my drive at the hardware level (no longer recognised in the BIOS). So I phoned them up and was told how their service works - basically you send them the faulty disk and they see if the data is salvageable.
If it's recoverable (and they were confident that that's normally the case), they then send a listing of every file they can recover. At this point you pay their invoice and then download your data.
There's nothing to pay if nothing is recoverable, which thankfully wasn't the case for me.
In my case they explained that a firmware problem caused my drive to fail. I suppose this means that they've in fact fixed the firmware on the drive, so it should still be operable. As such I called into their office to pick up the drive, and one of these days I shall try using it again - although not for anything important!
