David Caruso Made 45 Minutes Feel Like 10
I've heard David Caruso speak a couple of times now, and both experiences were memorable for different reasons.
The first time was in a training video about local marketing for small businesses. David did something I really appreciated: he didn't just throw information at you. He used stories to make his points, and I was drawn in almost immediately.
Normally, when I'm watching training, I'm doing three other things at the same time.
Not with David.
Recently, I had the opportunity to hear him speak live, and that's a completely different experience.
Seeing him on a small monitor is one thing. Having him in the room is another.
David has a warm, engaging presence that pulls you into the conversation. At one point, I actually felt like I needed to lean forward so I could get closer to the story. And somehow, 45 minutes went by way too fast.
In fact, I didn't even start taking notes until about 20 minutes into the presentation because I was enjoying it so much.
But here's the part that really matters:
I didn't just enjoy the presentation. I walked away with several strategic ideas and tactical insights I can actually use.
One of the things I learned may completely change the way I approach client acquisition.
That's a pretty good return on 45 minutes.
If you ever get the opportunity to hear David speak live, take it. He's one of those speakers who makes learning feel effortless, and you'll probably find yourself wishing he had another hour.
Highly recommended.
