David Luke grew out of a small company that supplied childrenswear in the North West of England. A spark for inventiveness saw our founding partners David Burgess and Adrian Luke expand into the school uniform market where they have innovated some of the most iconic products our children now count as uniform essentials. We were the first to develop recycled polyester yarn from plastic bottles which we used to make blazers. Charging for returns when the fit of…
Charging for returns when the fit of the trousers for my son where absolutely awful with the cro tch half way down his thighs. Should give more detail on inside leg, thigh waist and hip measurements

My son is very tall so that’s how I…
My son is very tall so that’s how I came across David Luke. He is only a 30/31” waist so I purchased a 32” taking into account the ‘come up small’ comment in the description. When they arrived they were tiny. I had to return them and re-order the 34”. These are fine but are not the same style, I ordered the elasticated back. All in all ok. I think the return fee is unnecessary especially when exchanging an item.

Prompt shipping
Prompt shipping, however, despite buying two pairs of trousers were supposed to be the same size, they were actually different in length and bagginess around the waist/groin area.
Exchanges would have incurred extra shipping costs, so I have opted to turned up the trousers that were very long, and given my son a belt!

Inaccurate sizing
Inaccurate sizing. Sadly, these trousers were wildly bad fit. Measuring my child, I ordered size 26 waist and Regular 28 inside leg. However, these trousers have incredibly low rise (how high the trousers go up the waist). The rise is about 3 inches shorter in reaching waist than it should be, my child's underwear was peaking out with about 2 inches. Otherwise the quality is superb, but please be aware if you have a child that doesn't fit the standard measurements, going only by David Luke's measurements may not be the best, as they will not fit. It would be better to go by sizing by age (my boy is unusually slim and tall for is age and trousers by other brands are usually too big around waist. David Luke's were fitting in waist and length, but too short in rise. So bad that I have to return, even tough I like them)
