The Daygard Logistics Group of Companies include NVOCC’s Freight Movers International (“FMI”) and Cargo Movers International (“CMI”), as well as customs clearance division, Daygard Clearances (“DGC”) In 2003, FMI was formed to primarily handle imports from China and by 2004 FMI had expanded to include imports and exports to/from many areas. Over time, strong relationships have been built with some of the biggest agents in their respective countries, leading to substantial year-on-year growth, and this led to the formation of CMI and then the formation of our Customs clearance brand DGC In the years since it was formed, the Daygard Logistics Group has become one of the largest independent NVOCC’s in the UK covering all major trade lanes and with more direct weekly services than most in the market. A major difference between Daygard and its competitors is that the majority of cargo handled by the FMI and CMI brands are on terms controlled in the UK, meaning better control of the charges the clients pay.

Having just had a shipment handled by Daygard Logistics Group
Having just had a shipment handled by them I am appalled by there lack of care. They did not advise me they had a shipment for me and 2 weeks after arrival I found out for myself that they were the agents and phoned them. They then charged me £90 for storage.

absolute scam..robbers..avoid like the plague for sure..disgusting that these thieves can blatantly rob you under your very noses.. why aren't companies like this more closely regulated..another one to avoid is "fs McKenzie"...does anyone know who i can complain to regarding these two freight handling companies? disgrace to british business

Avoid like the plague
Avoid like the plague! I used this company for freight forwarding and they are completely hapless. They promise you one thing and deliver nowhere near expectations. On instructions I drove all the way to Southampton (3 hours) to pick up a consignment only to be told it's not ready. Wasted journey, wasted cost of van hire and time off work. Nearly 2 weeks later my delivery is cancelled on the actual day after I'd taken time off work. This is after charging me extra for a smaller truck (yes smaller) with a tail lift. the final joke was confirming delivery on a Friday and delivery turns up on Thursday when I'm at work. You can't make up shocking customer service like this. How they operate is beyond me. Just avoid

Absolutely hopeless
Having dealt with other forwarding companies. All have been useful and attentive.
I have been utterly disappointed and let down by Daygard due to their poor communication and calling their office is a pain in the back side. I had a query and needed to speak to a specific staff but was transferred 4 times before reaching someone who could deal with my query.
So it was my fault for not contacting them in time to clear my consignment but their phone was down for the whole day.
Paid for storage charges and had to chase them constantly for the details of where to pick up my consignment. Everytime I called. I was told in the next half an hour, 10 minutes. But its the next day now. No signs of any emails
Don't use them!
