I’ve worked in the motor industry for my entire professional life, and before that I grew up immersed in it alongside my dad, Derek. More importantly, I’ve seen first-hand how modern car sales have changed, and how that change has increasingly worked against the customer. Today’s dealerships are impressive operations, often holding millions of pounds worth of stock. That stock needs to be sold quickly to avoid financing costs and depreciation. As a result, many sales processes are built around moving existing vehicles, rather than helping customers find the right one. Added to this is pressure on margins, upselling, and targets — all of which can take the focus away from what really matters. DC Cook takes a different approach. You won’t see rows of cars here — and that’s by design. By holding minimal stock, I remove the pressure to sell a car altogether. Instead, I focus solely on helping you buy the right one. With lower overheads and no need to push inventory, I can take the time to listen and understand exactly what you’re looking for — your needs, lifestyle, budget, priorities, and preferences. Once we’ve agreed on the ideal vehicle, I search the entire UK market to find the very best example available — not just what happens to be sitting on a forecourt. Great experience, from enquiring to getting the car. Dave even kindly drove the car through to my house as had a minor issue with the finance company (neither mine or Dave’s fault) and I had to leave as we were due to go away for the weekend. No pushy sales, just a kind genuine man. Would highly recommend

I have purchased many cars over the years (too many!) and the service I received from Dave at DC Cook has to rank as the best I have experienced. Dave operates a relatively small dealership which means you get a very high level of 1 to 1 service. I recently purchased a Porsche Boxster from DC Cook, and enjoyed a pressure free purchasing experience from Dave - he even personally delivered the car to my home address. A recommended dealer!

Superb service from DC Cook, effortless and easy way to sell vehicle. Had an Ineos Grenadier which is a specialist market kept getting low balled by dealers so approached DC Cook on an agency basis. They made the process easy and got me more money that offered by any dealer. Recommend David & team.
