Formula is A+ quality

I love the quality of the tretinoin formula. I switched from Amazon pharmacy because I felt their tretinoin wasn't doing anything for me. I'm so glad I switched because Dermatica's formula works so well! My skin has a healthy glow now. It was also super easy to start my prescription. The only thing is that I wish pricing was a little more clear up-front. I didn't know it cost extra to add a second ingredient, it would have been a little more helpful if that was more clear up front. But other than that, my experience has been amazing.

The cream made my skin peel

The cream made my skin peel, crack and burn, it really wasn’t white eggs I was looking for, I specifically asked for hydroquinone plus some other ingredient combined, but oh well I will probably it purchase again.

We’re sorry to hear that you are experiencing side effects with your treatment - we’d like to share some tips with you. Please know that it's normal to experience some side effects while your skin is adjusting to new active ingredients, but there are steps you can take to help ease them:

Start using your formula every other night until your skin adjusts to it. It’s normal for this to take a few weeks, so take your time and be patient with your skin.
You can also try using a gentle moisturiser as a buffer between your skin and your formula. Apply it after cleansing, wait 3-5 minutes for it to absorb, then follow up with your treatment.

I wish I could give them negative 10…

I wish I could give them negative 10 stars. That’s how bad they are. For one, I signed up for a $4.99 trial a few years ago and cancelled with no problems but never really used the product. I tried to re-sign up three years later and they told me since I had used it in the past I would not qualify fine I get it. They did tell me that since I would be coming back to them they would give me 50% off for rejoining on their website. It says the monthly plan is $30 so 50% of $30 would be $15. For one I never even responded and said OK to this. The next thing I know they are coming up with a treatment plan for me and emailed me what they wanted to treat me with and said it will be shipped out to me. They never discussed this with me or asked if I was OK with this they just went ahead and charge my card $88.37. When I saw what they were trying to charge me I immediately emailed them and asked them to cancel this as this is his way too much money and I cannot afford it especially right before Christmas. It has been over 48 hours and no one has gotten back to me. I went in and canceled my account online yesterday when I had seen the Charge. The tracking number had shown that it had not been shipped out yet and the only a sales order had been created. I emailed them way before the item was set to ship and let them know I did not want their product and I wanted my account canceled and a refund because this was never discussed with me and I never approved that amount of money to be charged nor the products that they were suggesting. I got an automated email saying they are still going to send me another months subscription and basically charge me again in a month?! Like what the hell?! I have filed a dispute with my credit card company and a dispute with the Better Business Bureau. Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Please learn from me and don’t use this service. I agree with another user. I would try something else such as Amazon or Musely although I am very leery to do anything online at this point. These people are heartless and charging people for stuff that was never agreed upon. It would be like buying a $20 meal at a restaurant and then the server charging you $200 and being like sorry that’s what we recommended for you?!
They didn’t even provide an order number just a tracking number.

I understand your concern about our cancellation policy. There are a number of reasons we have a cancellation policy in place, and I’d be happy to explain them to you. 

Firstly, we’re always doing what we can to improve our service and make it easier to use – so we needed to update our policies to reflect this. That’s why we have a formal cut-off date, so all our customers are clear about when they can cancel their order. 

Secondly, we needed to make changes to reduce waste along our supply chain. By introducing a 48-hour cut-off period, this allows us to communicate changes to the dermatology team in our lab, so they don’t create and send your formula for that month. This not only ensures the sustainability of our business but will reduce our carbon footprint, too. 

I understand how this experience has made you hesitant to trust online services, and I’m sorry that this situation has contributed to that feeling. Your feedback helps us improve and ensures we provide clearer communication and better support to all customers.

Our treatments are prescription medications and strengths and treatment plans are evidence based and selected for each patient on an individual basis. Strengths of ingredients chosen also reflects the need to balance the benefit delivered by the medication versus any side effects and this can be titrated up or down accordingly according to your needs.

This is a long-term treatment, and although we should start to see more improvements at the 12-week mark, we do anticipate it taking longer than this to see significant results. To see significant visible changes in your skin, it will take some patience and persistence with your treatment plan.

Scam Alert – Sends OTC Ingredients, Ignores Cancellation Requests

I signed up with Dermatica specifically to address post-acne dark marks (PIH) and hyperpigmentation. I clearly stated this in my consultation and requested a formula that included hydroquinone, which I have used successfully in the past.

Instead, they prescribed me a product containing only OTC ingredients like adapalene 0.1%, benzoyl peroxide, and niacinamide – the same actives I can buy at Walmart (Differin gel and PanOxyl). These ingredients do not specifically target hyperpigmentation in darker skin tones.

I emailed them multiple times before the product shipped, asking them to cancel the order because it wasn’t what I needed. They ignored my request, shipped it anyway, and charged me for something I explicitly refused.

If your main concern is dark marks or PIH, be warned – they will not prescribe hydroquinone or other effective pigmentation treatments, even when requested. Instead, they push a generic acne formula you can buy over the counter, and they don’t listen when you try to cancel.

I’ve canceled my subscription and will not recommend Dermatica to others. Save your money and look elsewhere if you’re seeking real treatment for hyperpigmentation.

Not at all happy I specified what I wanted in treatment wise to focus on etc and they just sent everything opposite of that.

Charge you with no warning.

Terrible customer service. Unresponsive doctors. They also do not give you a heads up before shipping your order so you have no availability to make changes before it’s shipped. You’re better off ordering tretinoin from Amazon pharmacy for 50% less.

As you can see from their response (which doesn’t even address my issues), their customer service requires a lot of work. I’m doubling down on my conviction that you should try Amazon or musely for customized skin care)

You can use your personal Dermatica account online to change your next dispatch date by selecting ‘Manage Subscription’ on your User Dashboard at any time. If you have any difficulty acting on this, please let us know.

When amending your account, such as this, we would always ask that you pay careful attention to the expiry date of your product. Our treatments are freshly compounded in our pharmacy upon receipt of a prescription from our prescribers. As a result, our treatments have expiry dates on them, which are based on stability testing. We do not recommend using your treatment beyond this date, as we cannot guarantee the safety or efficacy of your treatment.

FRAUD

Payment was taken today from my bank. I cancelled my subscription. I will now report this as fraud.
Below is the message I just sent to dermatica.

You took payment without my authorisation. And there is only 1 item that you have sent out. I have reported you for FRAUD. You took payment without even notifying me. Think you are clever offering me 50% if I reactivate my subscription. But only for you to send out only 1 item and not 2 as I had on my previous prescription. I was told to upload new photos before my subscription was able to restart. Something I did not do just yet. But you still go ahead and take payment without contacting me first. BIG mistake committing FRAUD against me.

Even after reaching out to them , I have never received the product and money has been deducted and when asked about it , no response and no refunds has been done

Don’t go for their marketing strategy

The product works for my sensitive skin

I'm absolutely thrilled with my purchases of the hydrating kit and glow kit! As someone with very sensitive skin, I'm always cautious about what products I use, and these worked wonderfully for me. I especially appreciate that they're fragrance-free, which is perfect for sensitive skin. I typically invest in high-end chemical grade skincare products that can get extremely expensive, so I'm delighted with both the quality and affordability of these items. The value for money is outstanding! Can't wait to try more products from this line!

10/10. Totally recommend. I accidentally chemically burned my face and since I’m African American I was left with really bad dark spots. Was desperate when I signed up for the free trial. They prescribed me a formula they that did wonders. It only took a month and my scars are completely gone. I will be going to them for now on for all my skin care needs.
