Review of DHgate

Avoid at all costs. DHgate is nothing short of a scam. I paid for an item that never arrived, and now the store has vanished without a trace. No refund, no support, no accountability. Their so-called "customer service" is non-existent — nothing but dead ends and excuses.

The platform enables sellers to take your money and disappear, and DHgate washes its hands of any responsibility. It feels like outright theft.

If you value your money, do yourself a favour and stay far away from DHgate. Total waste of time and money.

ABVOID buying from this seller had to chase up and order as never came on date stated no tracking information when spoke with them sent a picture of the coat which was not the colour or style I ordered tried to explain to them and even showed them what I had ordered but still wouldn’t listen then said I have sent what you ordered when coat arrived was totally wrong colour and different style asked them to do a return for refund to be told they are not giving me a refund

I was conned many times from dhgate one of the sellers is luxurywatch_rix88888 who stole my money didnt send the item couldn't provide proof then lied to dhgate but dhgate was on there side because they make money dhgate went against there own terms and conditions money back guarantee refund to refund me so ive had to report this to the Lloyds banking group fraud investigation team the are backing me 100% im a victim of crime by dhgate avoid the dhgate site don't be a victim of crime especially luxurywatch_rix88888 they stor my money (BE WARNED)updated 21/9/25

This company is just a cover for independent people who sell through them I ordered through DHgate with a seller called Leon2018 who sent the goods took 3 weeks and the sizes were so inconsistent they were useless. However trying to return for refund has been impossible no response no returns no contact keep away from this company they are scamming people EDIT Since writing this review I have received full refund from DHgate but the seller has still not communicated maybe just certain sellers but I won't use them again

DHGate verkauft sehr schwache Qualität Sachen. Die shue , die ich bei DHGate für 28€gekauft hat, nur nach zwei Tagen träge kaputt gegangen!
Und Verkäufer will nicht mir ganze Summe zurück geben. Sie stolen nicht nur Ihr Geld, auch ihre Zeit!

On the payment page I had to verify identity I said ok for security reasons.
After almost a week I was approved but when I placed an order I had to verify the account again
I contacted their customer service which exists but doesn't really help and says to wait patiently
It's just sad that it's so cumbersome to order from there
They have a lot to learn from other platforms

My experience with DHgate has been pretty good overall. They offer a huge selection of products at really great prices, and most of my orders arrived pretty quickly. The quality of the items was mostly as described, and the sellers were responsive whenever I had questions. Sometimes shipping took a bit longer than I expected, but for the most part, it was worth it for the savings. I’d definitely recommend DHgate if you’re looking for good deals and don’t mind waiting a little bit for your order.

I was sent the completey wrong item. They refused to refund me as they had released the money to the seller. The store was closed before I received my item. The seller never responded to any of my messages. DHGate do accept I received the wrong item which is crazy. But refuse to refund without the seller whose store is now closed confirming it's ok to refund. I would avoid not with the hassle. I contacted the team as suggested but still nothing.

I purchased 7 qty RSL badminton shuttlecock for $160, but I received counterfeit. The seller only wanted to refund $100. So I asked DHgate to help. They provided 2 options. None of them are full refunds. I purchased 7 of them. They only allowed me to return 4 for $97.87. The other option is to keep the counterfeit and refund only $39.15.
The quality is so bad. They are no use to me. I don’t want to keep any of them. I want my money back.
They also try to intimidate you that return is hard process. Following is their word.
“Kindly note: If return for refund is chosen, you need to pre-pay the return shipping fee and keep good of the receipt. Return shipping fee will be reimbursed after the package has been received by the seller, it normally takes about 30-40 days to get the refund. Also it may be lost or damaged then we will have a hard time processing the refund. No matter which offer you prefer, we will respect your choice.”
Don’t ever buy from DHgate. Dishonest seller (jia09) and company. They helped themselves, not buyer. Amazon didn’t sell RSL #7. Otherwise, I would have purchased from Amazon, trusted company!!!

I wish I could give zero stars. I purchased two items from DHGate. I day later I was up early and saw an email thanking me for my purchase. I looked and saw that my credit card had just been charged for two wallets. It had to be a seller because the items were being shipped to me. I had to cancel my credit card, get a new one, and update all of my regular charges. DHGate promptly closed my account and would no longer give me access to my account. Talk about a double insult! When I asked them why, they told me to remove the charge back. Of course, I couldn't as my info was stolen. I never gave them permission to store my credit card info, by the way.

Commande effectuée en toute confiance sur DHgate auprès du vendeur Cool Product. À l’arrivée, le produit est non conforme à la description : accessoires manquants, chargeur inadapté au marché français, et surtout, absence de tout emballage constructeur scellé.

Le vendeur justifie cela par l’ouverture préalable du téléphone pour 'flasher la ROM chinoise', mais cette intervention unilatérale fait sauter toutes les garanties, détruit la traçabilité et laisse planer un doute légitime sur l’origine du produit : lot déclassé ? Volé ? Produit détourné depuis une chaîne de sous-traitance ? Impossible à savoir. Aucun document CE, aucune garantie européenne, aucune preuve de conformité.

Pire : le vendeur accepte un retour, mais exige que les frais d’expédition soient à ma charge, avec des conditions de remboursement excessivement contraignantes. L’intervention du financeur Klarna s’est soldée par une impasse, le paiement étant figé sans issue pratique. DHgate, pourtant informé, se décharge sur Klarna.

La plateforme DHgate abrite donc des vendeurs bénéficiant d’une quasi-impunité, dans un climat d’opacité totale. Je déconseille vivement tout achat de produits électroniques sur DHgate. Ce site n’offre ni protection concrète, ni recours fiable en cas de litige. À fuir.


Exemple concret de coercition : le vendeur a imposé l’usage exclusif de UK Post (poste britannique) pour effectuer le retour, excluant toute autre solution logistique, y compris La Poste française. Cette exigence absurde est totalement inadaptée au consommateur basé en France, et vise clairement à rendre le retour impossible.

Pire encore : l’adresse fournie était incomplète et incohérente avec les normes postales internationales : nom partiel, absence de code postal clair, aucune validation possible via les outils d’expédition classiques. Résultat : impossibilité de générer une étiquette de retour en ligne, de simuler un tarif précis, ou de garantir une livraison avec suivi. Cette stratégie logistique obscure rend toute reprise effective du produit illusoire.

I ordered 2 LV purses. Only one arrived. The one that arrived was falling apart when I got it. The 2nd one never arrived. They blocked me on their website so I can't even contact them. They are nothing but a scam. Do not buy from them.

I ordered eight watches but initially only one was delivered. Seller - laopo0901. DH Gate, however, helped me to ensure the outstanding seven were delivered. I want to believe it was an honest mistake. I will use DH Gate again in future, but unfortunately not the said seller. Thank you, DH Gate, for solving my dilemma.

I ordered a football kit from messijersey30 and when the package arrived it was in a Royal Mail damaged bag which was sealed by Royal Mail before delivering to me. The original package bag appears to have been ripped open and you can clearly see a small pink dress in the packaging as Royal Mail damage bags are see through. I did not open the Royal Mail damage bag as I wanted the vendor to see how the product came to me. I contacted both the vendor and DH-Gate and from the vendor got a smarmy reply about them not selling dresses so therefore I will not get a refund or replacement. I then escalated to DH-Gate who did absolutely nothing despite photo evidence of the product I received and said they are releasing the money to the vendor. This item has been tampered with on route to me which is down to the vendor as it is they who use whatever intermediaries to get the item to me which like I say has been tampered with and I have now not received my item or my money back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AS THEY WILL FOB YOU OFF AND ARE NOT CUSTOMER ORIENTATED IN ANY WAY. Like most on here I wish I could give 0 stars as they are that bad. Stead well clear!

ioojhgff another bag store on DHgate. this Seller sent me a USPS Fake parcel that was empty. Once Again I got Scammed. Seller harassed me for additional funds by text from my shipping info. my Bank stopped Payment till proof of actual shipping. to get payment released Seller FedEx Next day Delivery of a poor quality Fake PU bag, NOT genuine leather as describe. Second time scammed on DHgate, had to get bank involved after receiving fake delivery of empty parcel again. Order# 310413085918

Uhr bestellt, Qualität unter aller S*u. Support von DH-Gate gibt es nicht. Weder existiert dir email-Adresse noch kann man die Mediation über die Webseite nutzen. Man schreibt den Fall zusammen, ladet die Videos hoch und dann aus, man kann die Nachricht nicht absenden!!! 150 Euro in den Sand gesetzt. Leute lasst wirklich die Finger davon!!!
