Contact customer service, they were pretty uninterested. Stated the maps approximate; I’m sure it is, but during our chat I’m watching my parcel move further away.
Don’t worry I’m told, it’ll just be a bit later. Check 30 minutes later “unable to be delivered”.
24x7 cameras show no one drove past house the whole morning (quiet street). So seems old mate decided he was done for the day and packed up shop.
Contact support, “oh, sorry about that, normal
practice will be to try again next business day”.
Your normal practice should be to deliver a parcel you charge a premium for. Like everyone else, avoid where you can. FedEX I’ve never had an issue with and the local company that deals with handoffs are very good too.
I feel for their staff, imagine the chat/call staff are bombarded daily with such things. And the drivers on the frontline would be copping mouthfuls too. All because they’ve come up with a way to lower costs and increase profits; at the expense of the people they are supposed to be supplying a service to.
These muppets shouldn’t be in charge of an ant farm, let alone a “premium” parcel service.

Absolute messed up service. They didnt even knock the door and didnt leave the parcel at doorstep inspite of requesting them to leave it on doorstep. Pathetic losers

Horrible company, bad communication, lying about causes of delay. The worst transport company there is. Companies that use DHL are deliberately causing paid customers problems and frustration.
They do not deliver.
I have only used DHL twice and I have had absolutely no other choice because I’ve purchased a product that used DHL to ship. Both times I took the entire day off work to be home to receive my package, wrote explicit instructions on exactly how to get to my address (which was not complicated to begin with) and both times my delivery has mysteriously not shown up. Called to reschedule and the customer service agents are pleasant but have absolutely no idea and cannot tell me why my delivery didn’t arrive or guarantee that it will arrive on the rebooked date (which is never prioritised, I had to wait an additional week) but still received a ‘your item was delivered’ text.
If you have ANY other choice, I would strongly advise you go with anyone else, DHL does not care and will not help you.

Paid for premium shipping option over the free option only for the item taking just as long. (It didn't even get stuck at customs) before it got halted in the warehouse supposedly because "My Address was incorrect" - Logging into my DHL portal it showed my full address, and all details already entered
Great, so I called their support line asking for it to be resolved, to which I got some help - They claimed it would be delivered by the following Monday (despite it being due the previous week).
Supposedly my address wasnt even in the system - How's that even possible if I could see it on my web portal, and it even arrived in the country? Shouldn't it have been flagged when the delivery was first shipped? The person over the phone decided to "update my address" (of which nothing apparent changed) then schedule my shipment for Monday.
Okay - Monday comes and goes, no update, Tuesday comes and goes, no update. Each day it gets pinged as "scheduled for delivery" but never arrives, despite my area being on an "all-day-route" as I was told over the phone
Absolutely abysmal. Honestly, I would've had a better experience just choosing the free shipping at this point. I won't be shipping with DHL again.

My parcel couldn't be delivered on Friday 17/10 because of an incorrect address. Th customer service woman took my correct address and said the parcel will arrive on Monday. Today 20/10 we heard the truck go past without delivering the parcel. Did the driver look properly?

Disgusting service by the driver, seems like he had mental health issues. Extremely rude & very unprofessional
Delivered only half of my $3000 order
Delivered half of my $3000 order that I paid over $500 in shipping fees for. A week later, they drop an "Undelivered Shipment" card in my letterbox and drive off before I can even get out the front door. Card says "door not answered" - I didn't know my front door was my letterbox at the start of my driveway.
Anyway, this card has instructions to scan a QR code or go to their website with further instructions to enter my Waybill number to reorganise delivery - except when you do this and jump through all the data input hoops and captcha crap, it just ends up loading a blank website.
What the hell DHL, give me my stuff ya thieving dogs.
Very unreliable
I received the items from India and it was not up to my expectations. Then I send it back to them as per their advise. I used the same name as it comes from India along with the same address. Then it did not reach to the recipients. I then contacted the DHL and they advised that they will contact DHL India and advised me. I then received the email advising that they need transshipment request letter. Also, they advised the DHL india has called recipents however, not in touch with them. And finally after my multiple contacts to DHL they advised they will let us know however, no response. Finally when I called them to ask for the update, they advised me that the Indian Customs have confiscated and I need to contact the Indian Custom. Seems like they are not responsible as I have also asked them to bring my stuff to me but no help. Very dissapointed and lost $1000. I tried to contact indian custom but there is no response. So disgusting.

DHL Basically stole $4000 from our business . their concept of raising an investigation is basically yes we saw your application and have closed it so please pay now . I only paid it so that a don't need to be near the sphere of influence of their defective moral compass for any longer than i need to.
Horrific customer service - DODGY DRIVERS
Delivery drivers turned up (lic plate: CMC006) opened the suitcase and zeroed in on anything that might be of value (with hungry eyes). One of the couriers gave my dog something to eat without asking.
I re zip locked the zipper of the suite case and they left.
Called the google listing phone number (DHL express) and spoke to a very rude and arrogant male (I recorded the call). Had to call back and spoke to manager "James" (call recorded by me) and described the interaction.
I fear my friends luggage is at risk by this company- their customer service standards are shockingly poor.
Use this company only if you have nerves of steel. Definitely not recommended.

Als potenzieller Kandidat für das "LEAD" Programm habe ich die Erfahrung gemacht, dass das KI gestützte Online-Assessment-Center von Unternehmen wie DHL, trotz des bekannten Fachkräftemangels, bevorzugt wird, um eine Vorauswahl zu treffen. Allerdings empfinde ich diese Methode als problematisch und teilweise respektlos.
Kritik aus meiner Sicht als Bewerber
Kurze, zeitlich sehr begrenzte Aufgaben führten dazu, dass ich als Bewerber unter Druck gesetzt wurde und nicht mein volles Potenzial zeigen konnte. Es wurden Aufgaben gestellt, die keinen direkten oder indirekten Bezug zu den tatsächlichen Jobanforderungen haben. Hierdurch konnten meine relevanten Kompetenzen nicht angemessen bewertet werden.
Online-Assessment-Tools sind nicht in der Lage, komplexe und weiche Fähigkeiten wie Kreativität, Empathie oder strategisches Denken zu messen. Wie sich auch hier zeigt, wird der Fokus auf spezifische, leicht messbare Fähigkeiten gelegt, während wichtige persönliche und soziale Kompetenzen vernachlässigt werden. Gerade bei einer Führungsposition sind das elementare Bestandteile, worauf es ankommt.
Durch den fehlenden persönlichen Kontakt, der zugleich auch ein klares Zeichen von mangelndem Respekt ist, wurde der ganze Bewerbungsprozess auf eine reine Sortenauslese von Daten reduziert, was ein unvollständiges bzw. total verzerrtes Bild meiner Person darstellt.
Verbesserungsvorschläge:
Kombination von Online- und Präsenzmethoden. Der Mensch machts aus. Eine einfache Erstbeurteilung und das persönliche Vorsprechen ist das Maß der Dinge. Eine erste Vorauswahl kann gerne online per Video stattfinden, gefolgt von tiefergehenden persönlichen Gesprächen. Video-Interviews könnten eine Brücke zwischen den beiden Methoden darstellen, indem sie zumindest visuelle und verbale Kommunikation ermöglichen.
Auch wenn der erste Teil des Auswahlprozesses online stattfindet, sollte zumindest ein finales Gespräch persönlich geführt werden. Dies würde zeigen, dass das Unternehmen die Bewerber ernst nimmt und ihnen Respekt entgegenbringt. Einladungen zu Firmenbesichtigungen könnten dazu beitragen, die Arbeitsumgebung und potenzielle Kollegen kennenzulernen, was den Auswahlprozess persönlicher und wertschätzender gestalten würde.
Eine klare Kommunikation darüber, warum bestimmte Methoden genutzt werden, kann Missverständnisse vermeiden. Transparenz zeigt, dass es um Effizienz geht und nicht um mangelnden Respekt. Bereitstellung von konstruktivem Feedback nach Abschluss des Assessment-Centers, damit die Bewerber ihre Stärken und Schwächen besser verstehen.
Fazit:
Während Online-Assessment-Center teilweise und sehr begrenzt Vorteile in Bezug auf Effizienz und Reichweite bieten, kann der fehlende persönliche Kontakt tatsächlich als respektlos empfunden werden. Ein ausgewogener Ansatz, der Technologie nutzt, ohne die menschliche Komponente zu vernachlässigen, kann helfen, diese Bedenken zu adressieren und einen fairen, respektvollen Auswahlprozess zu gewährleisten. Vielleicht wir man eines Tages die nötige Cleverness besitzen das Unternehmen nach diesen Maßstäben in die Zukunft zu führen. Vielen Dank!

We pay $280 for sending two pieces from Perth Airport brunch ..we have a receipt that it will arrive on the 8/5/2024 but up till today still not reaching Samoa and when check on airway bill it’s showing the same thing departing Auckland Airport and it’s nearly a week there when called DHL they making same excuses..saying it was meant to go on the flight that day but some reason it got Off loaded this was the same excuse for two times I called the other excuses I didn’t write the post code when I wrote everything down.
It’s very embarrassing they lying to their client and even worse it’s very expensive for such a poor service

I usually have good experiences with DHL, my local delivery driver is awesome. However, at Christmas this year they have decided to hand over some packages to a third party delivery company and they are terrible. The driver delivered my package to some random person on the street "near" my property on a Sunday. They consider this delivered and closed the case. Im furious to say the least, no one wants to take responsibility for this and I, the customer am left out of pocket on Christmas, without a Christmas present from my mother.

Slow and expensive
A passport delivery from St Kilda Road to my town 70km from Melbourne took four working days. Delivery to my house was not attempted and the item was simply left at the local post office. No notification was provided and I had to call DHL to find out the location of my item. This "premium" delivery service cost me $57! I should have used Australia Post.

I got my parcel today from the british corner shop, which is was delivered before the estimate date. Stuff usually is delivered befoe estimated and they have even delivered stuff on a Sunday a few times.
International parcels
They should deliver international parcels themselves and not give them to the worst courier in Australia (Aramex).
If they can't deliver themselves, they should at least hand them over to a reputable courier with good reviews.
