The appointment came through for the same day with a choice of probably 8+ online doctors and Lewis, the guy I chose could not have been more helpful. He referred me to an Orthopaedic Consultant much, much quicker than would be possible with NHS.

I could have easily seen a GP the same day but opted for the next day. There were even appts available through the night.
I saw a really competent doctor who gave me a referal but he also went above and beyond in sending me written advice and follow up reading.
Very impressed with the whole service.

Really poor experience on my call to doctor to discuss back pain, did not listen to what I was trying to explain regarding, advice was to seek NHS even though I have private insurance and would be seen much quicker. Did not listen when I explained the waiting times over 6 weeks and refused to refer me to a consultant. Would not recommend, the consultation was a pointless waste of time

1st time I have used this service and would recommend. Dr I spoke to listened to my concerns and recommended exercises which were sent to me directly afterwards with a comprehensive write up.

Iâm a veterinary surgeon with 10 years of clinical experience. I reached out to Doctor Care Anywhere (DCA) after sustaining a dog bite â only to be met with a consultation that was not just medically unsound, but emotionally abusive.
The doctor insisted on prescribing flucloxacillin, which is ineffective against Pasteurella â a common pathogen in dog bites. When I challenged her and explained the pharmacological risks, she resisted, then said she âneeded to check the formulary.â She only conceded after I pushed for co-amoxiclav, the correct treatment. Had I followed her advice, I could have lost my finger â and my career.
To make matters worse, her clinical notes omitted this entire exchange, painting a misleading version of events to protect herself and obscure her lack of pharmacological knowledge.
Emotionally, the interaction was manipulative and invalidating. She was cold, dismissive, and undermining â classic covert emotional abuse, wrapped in clinical detachment.
Despite raising detailed concerns, DCA never reached out to me directly. They only began any form of response after AXA â the insurer â got involved. Even then, their communication has been dismissive, vague, and accountability-averse. They did not investigate until forced, and their behaviour feels designed to suppress, not resolve.
If youâre looking for care that is safe, honest, and emotionally aware â this is not the place. I expected medical support. Instead, I was retraumatised and gaslit. And if something goes wrong, youâre left fighting a wall of silence.
