Dora is an incredible teacher, as she’s innately very kind and genuinely engaged with her profession. I cannot think of enough superlatives! From instilling confidence into our child (complex neurodivergent needs) to enthusing them and pushing to achieve breakthroughs educationally - we feel incredibly fortunate to have found her.

We cannot recommend Dora highly enough. She has been working with our 14-year-old son, who has autism and ADHD, as well as our 7-year-old daughter, who faces challenges with reading and spelling.

Finding a tutor who can seamlessly adapt to such completely different ages and learning profiles is rare, but Dora does it effortlessly. She has brought immense patience and tailored techniques to help our daughter build her literacy skills and confidence, while providing the perfect structured yet flexible approach for our son. Both children respond incredibly well to her, genuinely look forward to their sessions, and are making wonderful progress. Dora is a truly exceptional, skilled, and caring tutor.

Dora has been exceptional in supporting my daughter through her Level 3 Child Care qualification. With 14 units to complete, Dora helped her finish the entire course in just four months.
My daughter previously struggled to understand the content and express herself in writing, but Dora transformed that. Her clear explanations, patience, and structured guidance helped my daughter gain confidence and produce work she could be proud of.

Dora has had such a great impact on both my children’s maths ability and also their confidence. They are improving week on week and also approaching maths with a different attitude and having some fun whilst learning. Dora is incredibly patient and is a really wonderful teacher. I feel very lucky to have found her when I did. I would absolutely recommend her.

Dora is utterly wonderful in every way as a tutor. She is patient, calm and kind and able to keep their attention throughout the trickiest of concept explanations. She has helped two of our children - very different personalities but they both adore her and look forward to her visits (unusual for a tutoring session!) I can wholeheartedly recommend Dora as a tutor for any age of child.

A wonderfully intuitive smart charismatic " ball of positive energy" lady who is professionally creative in delivering for her students. She has propelled my son in the right directions starting the process of advancing him from good student to great/outstanding. Inspiring and motivating him and passing along skills and wisdom to make his revision studies more effective , with better tools in his armory to produce better outcomes. Dora is a brilliant, kind and inspiring tutor and our daughter loves her sessions. She’s helped us so much over the past year and we are so impressed with the progress she’s helped our daughter make in maths and English.

We have worked with Dora over a four-year period with two of our children and have found her to be an extremely strong tutor who cares passionately about her work and pupils. She has worked with both our children on ATOM tests for their 11+ entrance exams as well as specific tutoring on maths for both general maths improvement and also scholarship entrance exams (age 13). Dora is an extremely enthusiastic and passionate teacher who reflects this into her lessons helping motivate our children as they do after-school and weekend sessions. She is able to do high-level maths and explain the workings and methodology very effectively. My son successfully navigated the ATOM 11+ application process and received an interview at all of his chosen schools. Finally, she is super flexible and happy to work with you on scheduling (and our scheduling errors) in a friendly and positive way, not clock-watching on time, even taking her PC on holiday to ensure a session was not missed before an important exam and sending through workings on a complex maths scholarship problem after the session to make sure my son understood the issue. She is a kind, professional tutor who we continue to use.

We’ve had a fantastic experience with Dora Copeland. What really stands out is her incredible attitude toward teaching. She has a natural ability to keep kids focused and engaged, which is no small feat!

Thanks to her meticulous preparation and engaging teaching style, Z achieved age-expected levels in English and Maths in her Key Stage 2 SATs—a result didn't think was possible, particularly under exam conditions.

Ms. Copeland is consistently professional, punctual, and reliable. Her excellent communication ensures we are always updated on Z’s progress and any areas requiring additional attention.

If you’re looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and highly skilled SEN tutor, I cannot recommend Ms. Copeland enough. She possesses the qualities and skills necessary to support students with diverse learning needs and achieve exceptional results.

Miss Dora has truly helped my son.
He has massively improved in his phonics and his attitude to learning. Before miss Dora came Romeo could hardly hold a pen and did not draw any pictures or write any words now he is doing both and really enthusiastic about it all and enjoying art. I truly am so happy with the work Miss Dora have provided and her understanding, patience and care of Romeo's needs. It has been wonderful and I have felt really comfortable and safe leaving him in her hands.

An extremely good teacher, would highly recommend. After only a day or two I noticed a vast improvement in my son's learning abilities. We are so happy we found Dora .

Dora is a superstar. Our children are switching from French education system to British system and Dora arrived, full of enthusiasm, positive reassurance and a deep knowledge on the uk testing and school in systems. She was very reactive, very available and supported us throughout the process. The girls like working with her and she has a perfect balance of upbeat energy with serious learning. I would recommend highly for test prep or general learning support. Thank you, Dora!

Dora has been the most wonderful tutor to my three children, aged 13/10/8. With her positive attitude and personality, in an incredible way she has managed to have all my children look forward to their classes with her. Not only did my children progress academically, but also they became more and more confident about their personal skills and abilities as Dora has a way to make all children feel special. My 11+ and 8+ children got into the school of their choice (Francis Holland and Wetherby Prep) and that is all thanks to Dora. I highly recommend her!

Dora is the best! She is understanding, patient, punctual, warm, enthusiastic, dedicated and very caring. She has never disappointed us, never! She does her work with such dedication. And she gets along with children so well. She is amazing!

My child has been tutored for all ks3 classes by Dora since September last year, she is amazing, I cannot fault her, she is understanding, patient, punctual, warm, accessible, enthusiastic, talented, dedicated and caring.

She has excellent communication skills, she listens to my child and she is able to break tasks down, for my child to easily understand. She makes the lessons fun, interesting and simple, even when it’s a huge assignment.

My child struggles with ASD, homework and huge anxiety. Without Dora, we would be lost. We have never met an academic professional that has a gift for teaching. She always keeps me up to date on my child’s progress, we appreciate every minute we have of Dora. She has helped and shaped my child with confidence and has made education so much fun.
