I have just had a consultation with Dr Helen Allergy for my long term nasal congestion and found the experience very worthwhile and informative. We had a good discussion of the problems I was experiencing and what might be the likely triggers. The skin allergy test showed the main culprits causing allergic reaction and I was delighted to see that milk was not one of them. Before this test I was largely avoiding dairy products as a suspected culprit, and it was a relief to have cheese back on the menu again. My visit was followed up with a very thorough report and information references. This will make living with my allergy much more bearable and the symptoms less noticeable and if the management strategy proves ineffective it is good to know I still have the option of immunotherapy.

I had a brilliant appointment with Dr Helen for my daughter who has a peanut allergy and eczema. I didnt feel rushed or judged like I have with other doctors in the past (even by private doctors) I couldn't rate her enough and would definitely recommend her if your are struggling to get the NHS to listen to you.

Dr Helen is a must when trying to navigate the allergy World.

She has helped us so much, and we feel very lucky to have found her.

Having membership of Dr Helen’s online alllergy clinic has honestly been the most important and useful thing I’ve done since finding out my LO has several food allergies. The support is incredible and access to experts is life changing for us.

Made the decision to book a consult with Dr Helen regarding our sons complicated allergies. The whole process was so easy to book, very quick, easy to send through existing hospital letters etc. We had an online appt where Dr Helen went through everything in great detail and really listened to my concerns and queries. In my 1:1 Helen went above and beyond to give me a clear plan and the reassurance I needed to continue on our allergy journey with confidence. We consulted with Dr Helen for our Baby daughter's dairy and soya allergies. Before seeing Dr Helen we felt out of our depth and overwhelmed. She made us feel calm, put a plan in place for us to treat our baby and gave us confidence to get past her allergies. We're now working through these with her ongoing support. I’m so glad I discovered Dr Helen on Facebook. I joined her free group, then the membership and decided to book an in-person consultation and SPT (skin test) for our teenage son who had been discharged from NHS allergy care many years before.

In addition to his known food allergy and eczema, she pieced together other information and tested him for some pet allergies which were, as she suspected, positive. Whilst no one wants more allergies, knowing about them has really helped how we manage things. We drove 1.5 hours to see her and it was definitely worth it.

I’ve learned so much about allergies and eczema from Dr Helen and the other experts in the group, including how to properly use emollients and topical treatments so that they’re more effective and get better results.

As well as being highly knowledgeable, Dr Helen is a mum who has personal experience of dealing with allergies and that makes her relatable and understanding. She doesn’t just address your medical needs, she makes you feel heard and supported too.

I visited Dr Helen at The Sandbanks Clinic in December 2023.

She discussed my issues with me in detail and found out how I have been dealing with them thus far.
She carried out allergy testing there and then and explained the process and results very clearly.

I was given a private prescription for an ointment and it has been an absolute miracle. No more sore and swollen eyelids and I can now use make-up and hair products without fear of repercussions.
I still avoid perfume in all products but that is not difficult to do these days.
I also take an antihistamine tablet each day but I don't worry so much that this is the wrong thing to do.

I can't think why I didn't contact Dr Helen years ago, but I am very glad I searched for 'Allergy Testing' late one December evening last year.

I am all sorted now but will continue to read the regular communications from Dr Helen. I thank her very much for her knowledge, her empathy and the lovely way she sorted out my skin problems.

Helen has the empathy and the personal experience which is lacking in the standard allergy appointment. She is thorough, reassuring and factual. She looks at things from all angles and is up to date with new research enabling her to think outside of the box. Helen is a pioneer of allergy care, if only we could clone her and set up clinics all over the world.

Excellent, caring, professional, knowledgeable advice available at all hours, usually 7 days a week too, for support for both the patient with allergies and those supporting them. The best money I’ve ever spent to try to help my daughter (and me) manage her multiple allergies. I wish I’d known about this sooner.

Honestly can’t thank Dr Helen enough, from the day I called her husband hysterical begging for help for my son who’s eczema was so bad he looked like a burn victim and dr Helen took over the call to calm me down and get his history, to the initial consultation where she set us up with prescriptions and treatment plans, to answering my stupid questions, taking a genuine interest in my sons life and our second consultation about weaning with allergies she has been flawless.

I approached Dr Helen Allergy for reassurance due to anxiety around eating Peanut, which I had become worried about due to confusing experiences/testing when I was younger that had resulted in me being unsure whether I was truly allergic or mildly allergic and therefore avoiding peanut unnecessarily, causing myself anxiety, inconvenience and embarrassment in various situations. Dr Helen was really understanding and took my concerns seriously, and came up with a plan to help determine my sensitivity to peanut and safely help me overcome my anxiety eating it - once reassured that it was indeed not a true allergy I was experiencing. I can now eat in restaurants and be cooked for without worry, knowing exactly where I stand with allergens and it is a big relief. I am really grateful for her help with this, having been dissatisfied with previous attempts to do this falling foul to pseudoscientific Vega testing. She was really kind and lovely to talk with during the process and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who has allergy concerns.

I contacted Dr Helen as I was concerned I was developing a nut allergy. I wanted to be sure either way and have confirmation of allergies I had already been diagnosed with by a gp. I had some blood tests, a full consultation and a skin test to discover I wasn't allergic to any foods, but had other environmental triggered allergies. Very useful to finally find out after so many years what I am allergic to and what I am not. Now I don't have to worry about what I eat and I have a plan to manage the allergies I do have. It's good and a relief to finally have some answers.

Great communication throughout and Dr Helen was friendly, professional, helpful and very knowledgeble. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for more information on allergies they may have.

Genuine interest in my son's allergies backed up by a wealth of knowledge and personal experience. Thank you Dr Helen for providing much-needed medical advice for my son's nut allergies in a world where we have little face-to-face back-and-forth with health specialists in this area. We were able to discuss my son's blood test and skin tests results and ask questions without feeling rushed, blown off or patronized.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Dr Helen and to know I have her guidance and expertise and that of the specialists and speakers who work alongside her - as well as the chance to be part of a community of others in a similar situation - to help me navigate the challenges of being a parent to a child with multiple allergies.

Dr Helen had reviewed my son's most recent clinical notes prior to the virtual consultation I had with her so it was an incredibly valuable session. She suggested a slightly different plan to that which my local allergy team had proposed and gave me the confidence not only to ask them to consider doing things in a different order, but also the understanding of why that might be a better plan. Dr Helen sent detailed follow up notes after the virtual consultation which I could share with my local team and they completely understood and accepted Dr Helen's suggestion and were very happy to change the plan for my son. It turned out to be absolutely the right thing to do!

Since my virtual consultation I've asked Dr Helen a couple of questions, all of which she has answered incredibly quickly and thoroughly in her very warm and friendly way. My local specialist allergy nurse is great, but the membership package with Dr Helen is hugely reassuring and valuable and I would wholeheartedly encourage anyone who had any questions or concerns about allergies to join.

We are very pleased with our consultation with Dr Helen. She listened and took our concerns seriously. Was able to answer all questions and offered a sound advice. Highly recommended. The membership group is a mein of knowledge.

I had allergy type symptoms that were getting progressively worse. After an internet search for a good allergist I found Dr. Helen, and she has been superb at getting to the likely source of my issues and suggesting a way forward with treatment. Tests have been arranged quickly and nothing has been too much trouble.Dr. Helen is an excellent listener and very good at explaining things. I feel so supported by Dr Helen and her team. I have learned so much and feel that I always have somewhere to turn when I’m worried. She has also manged to erase the horrible feelings that you’re left with after poor treatment by the NHS. She listens and assures you that you’re not crazy, or melodramatic.
