Rubbish airline from start yo finish
Rubbish airline from start yo finish. Ordered special Meal was told they haven't got it and there is nothing else to givd us. it was 24 hours without food. My luggage was damaged aswell but was told don't qualify as the bag photo hasn't got the tag attached. Worst airline I have ever been. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Partie en business en vacances : Paris Roissy CDG - Abu Dhabi - Phuket mi aout. Nous étions moi et mes deux enfants. Très étonnée qu'il n'y ait aucun salon business arrivés à Roissy, nous sommes restés 3h à l'aéroport sans profiter d'aucun service. Pour celà que je mets 3 étoiles
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
Well where to start from..... Made a booking with Etihad on the 04/07/2024 For the 23/01/2025 - 20/02/2025 from Athens Greece to Koh Samui Thailand. Up to here all good.
About 2 weeks later I received an e-mail prompting me to change my first leg of the flight for the same date but instead of 13:30 departure time, now new time is for the 23/01/2025 - 06:40 which for me is impossible due to that I live on an Island and I have to take a domestic flight to Athens and then get my outbound flight from Athens to USM.
Clicking on the e-mail link and prompted to the Etihad site to make changes..... With the only option for the 06:40 flight..
So i decided to call Etihad on the Greek Phone number listed on their site!!! In my surprise, there was no Greek-speaking Agent.... So i proceeded speaking with a call center, most probably in India.
I asked the agent if she could change my flight for the previous day ( 22/01/2025) because the itinerary was exactly the same as my original booking. After explaining my situation to the agent, she made the flight change for the 22/01/2025 - 13:20.
After hanging up the phone i received my new e-ticket ( Itinerary ) via mail and in my SURPRISE i saw that the agent ONLY changed my first leg of the flight leaving me stuck in Abu Dhabi for 24hours............. and then continuing my connecting flights to BKK-USM.....
I called back to ask why such a change was made. The only reply i got was " Your case has gone under investigation so we can hear the call and se who's fault it was, and only one leg was changed" !!!! I asked, why would you only change 1 leg of the flight??? Can't you see the profile of the guest itinerary??? I chose the Least hours flight outgoing and ingoing!!!
Since then, it's now the 02/09/2024 and after 5 calls and chatting via FB with other agents.... no reply or solution to my issue.!! I called Etihad yesterday to make the flight changes with a cost just to see..... They quoted me €1182.98 hahahahaha are they SERIOUS!!!
Over all the WORST EVER CUSTOMER SERVICE..... I'll NEVER EVER FLY WITH THEM.... EVER!!!

Appalling website. They haven’t got their act together in 10 years. Won’t allow payment section to load on smart phone or laptop. Despicable offering. Run by total charlatans.
Abysmal Customer Service
Flight from Heathrow was delayed which would have resulted in us missing our two onward connections.
Despite us having checked in Etihad insisted it was our travel agents responsibility to rearrange flights. They offered absolutely no assistance.
I believe Etihad make it as difficult as possible to complain and seek compensation - they don't respond to messages and seem to employ ongoing delaying tactics. Their customer service is abysmal.
We will never ever fly with them again.

Inhumane treatment and worst customer service
I have read quite a few negative reviews here and I can now see that the negative experience and appalling customer service has now become common with Etihad airways. I wish I had read the reviews before booking. I had relied on previous pleasant experiences with Etihad airlines 9 years ago and I regret this.
I wish there was a way for dissatisfied customers to come together and file a class action lawsuit as customer rights are being violated by this airline.
This airline will even cancel your flights mid journey and say that they want to give you a refund five months after ticket purchase when you are already in transit and ticket prices are at their peak.
I bought return tickets from Birmingham to Nairobi on 29/02/2024.
Our flight with Etihad Airways left London Heathrow on 7th August to Abu Dhabi and we had a 4 day stop over under the Etihad free stopover package.
We were issued 96 hour transit visa sponsored by Etihad Airways on 8th July. This was on the basis that we had a valid ticket to leave Abu Dhabi and we have a valid ticket to Nairobi. We arrived in Abu Dhabi on 7th August and stayed 4 days as per the stopover package with 2 free nights.
On 11/08/2024 we were unable to check in our flight from Abu Dhabi to Nairobi because apparently the flight is non existent. We came to the airport were asked to cancel our tickets to receive a refund.
We were also informed that we were sent emails informing us that flights were cancelled. The call centre also asked us to cancel our tickets while we were at the airport mid journey on 11/08/2024 . We were already in Abu Dhabi with children, having left London on 7th August with Etihad airlines on the booking which was apparently cancelled and we were never informed but this was not their concern.
I had never received an email saying that my flight had been cancelled, my itinerary on the app shows all the legs of my flight. If my flight was cancelled, how were we able to check in online and travel from London to Abu Dhabi on that booking? How were we issued a transit visa for 96 hours?
How is it possible for Etihad to transport passengers from London to Abu Dhabi, sponsor the transit visa on 8th July which can only be done on the basis of a valid ticket leaving Abu Dhabi, and then ask us to cancel our ticket to receive a refund in the middle of the journey? How was the visa issued for without an onward valid ticket from Abu Dhabi? And we had a valid ticket despite their claims.
We were also traveling with children and am unwell and had to have wheelchair assist from London Heathrow. I requested for the wheel chair assist on 9th July on the Etihad online chat and this was confirmed on the chat that wheelchair assist was added to my booking. Again even at this point, nobody said that my flight was cancelled or tickets were invalid.
The treatment we have received is quite shocking and no one has been able to show us an email saying that our flight was cancelled. Even in the event of flight cancellations, aren't airlines supposed to offer you an alternative flight.
After much back and forth with Etihad airlines call centre and airport staff, while standing at the airport customer service counter for hours, we were finally offered an alternative. The alternative flight leaves more than 24 hours after our original flight, and arrives on 13th August. Our initial flight was due arrive at 1305 on 11/08/2024.
We appreciate the staff on the ground who tried their best in what seems to be a broken system. We were offered no care, no water or food or accommodation and we are traveling with three children and an invalid.
It's unfortunate that one cannot give reviews below 1 because my experience is -15 or lower.
The worst Airline
I have used several airlines before but Etihad Airways is the worse airline, too much delays and technical issues it took them almost 1 hour to land the plane which traumatised the children

What can I say?
Plane was delayed in Heathrow for 1 hour, but I missed my connecting flight to Manila and had to wait in the Abu Dhabi airport for approximately 20 hours for the next flight.
Were food and accommodation offered? No. In fact, I had to beg for it because Mobarak, the guest services team lead at the airport was reluctant to provide these basic essentials.
Have I complained about it? Yes
Have I received a response? No
Decent airline with a budget airline level of customer service.
Delay... missed connecting flight.
We were delayed for 3.5 when returning from the Maldives, we therefore missed our connecting flight to Heathrow from Abu Dhabi. Since returning i have sent several emails, written letters and made several phone calls. We have not heard anything from them apart from bounce back emails saying they have been deleted without being read. We are now nearly 4 months down the line and not a word.
I will definitely avoid Etihad in future, the service we have recieved is disgusting!
Loyal customer of 13 years no more
Was a customer of theirs for 13 years. Sent numerous emails about several complaints and questions. Heard nothing back. They are busy expanding, but they can't hold onto loyal customers. This is the first year, I'll be looking at other airlines.

Zero Customer service
No answer from them when we have a problem, website complaints form not working, after they lost our luggage it took 13 days for us to get it to destination and still today they haven't given any compensation for it. I wasn't expecting such a bad customer service from a supposed high class airline
My second time travelling with Etihad…
My second time travelling with Etihad airways at first I thought great airline had no problems until my flight in May to Abu Dhabi Dinner was served and I practically swallowed hair about 12 inches long I was choking My husband had to help me we got hold of it pulled it out I could feel it coming up my throat not a nice experience.
I beckoned the crew member over showed her the hair.
She bought another meal over to which I could not eat it. Anyway cut it short sent a complaint got a complaint number and have heard nothing since. This is disgusting.
Abu Dhabi Stopover is a scam
Worst service ever from their contact center. Their system did not generate the necessary vouchers and now they refuse to honor me with a Stopover hotel which i had booked. I spent 2 weeks folowing up every 48 hours only for a maanger to say I must submit feedback and that they cannot do anything to resolve the issue. I am still trying to contact some senior managers or someone that can actually resolve the issue. I cannot beleive that Etihad is making an issue on their system a problem for the Customer.
Worst Airline with the worst Customer Service in the World……
This airline is unequivocally the worst I have ever encountered. When booking my flight from AUH to JFK, a staggering sum of 4145 AED was deducted from my Etihad Credit Account, yet my booking was not processed. Despite contacting their customer service over 10 times in the past six days—each time having to re-explain my situation to a new agent—there has been no progress regarding my refund. Calls were often placed on hold for over 15 minutes, ignoring my time constraints, which is both unacceptable and infuriating. Moreover, my numerous emails to the Etihad Credit team have gone unanswered. Each time I called their call center, I was told that my issue was beyond their control and that I needed to contact the Credit team, which can only be reached via email. Etihad, if you see this, be informed that I am preparing to file a significant lawsuit against you in the UAE to ensure your company ceases operations. You have defrauded me, just as you have many other dissatisfied customers.
Etihad Airwarys - HOW TO SPOIL A HOLIDAY IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT
WE made the unfortunate mistake of booking a flight with Etihad Airways and it’s no one that we will ever make again. We were supposed to travel from London Heathrow Terminal 4 on 03/04/24 to Bangkok via Abu Dhabi. Our flight at 21.55 pulled away from the bridge but had to return around an hour later due to technical reasons. We had to stay overnight in a hotel provided by the airline but having been at the airport from 18.00 hrs we were offered no food or drink and the hotel said they could not provide any either. We returned to the airport for another flight at 07.30 04/04/24 (the next day) for a 10.30 am flight but this flight was delayed until 14.50. The flight arrived in Abu Dhabi around 00.51 (05/04/24) and from there we got told we had a 10-hour stopover so they took us to a hotel which we arrived at 03.30. We had to be at reception for 07.30 to return to the airport for a 10.25 flight. This flight was then delayed until 13.00 and we eventually arrived in Thailand at 00.06 on 06/04/24. We missed our Thai VietJet flight to Phuket on 05/04/24 and could not get another flight due to it being Thai New Year and everything was fully booked. I lost out on my Bangkok airport hotel and taxi to it from the airport on 04/04/24 Phuket hotel, My Phuket Hotel for 5 nights, car hire for our stay and extra car hire insurance as a top up to the included car hire insurance. I couldn’t cancel any of these items because the cancellation date had passed by the time we found out we were not going to be there. The whole holiday was a total disaster and Etihad airways are solely responsible for ruining our holiday. The response to our claim has been to just ignore us and they just don’t care at all. We fly this route every year often twice a year and have used many different Airlines including Qatar and Emirates, BA, Thai, and EVA to name a few and never had this trouble. Disgraceful treatment by an airline but now you know what to expect if things go wrong. THE PLANES ARE ALWAYS DELAYED AND WHEN THEY ARE... YOUR IN TROUBLE AND DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH FOR THE COMPENSATION UK AND EU LAW SAYS YOU ARE ENTITLED TO AS THEY DON'T CARE. £560 PER PERSON FOR DELAYS OVER 3 HOURS IS THE LAW. PLUS ALL OUR OTHER LOSSES TOO.
Update: They have paid something but nowhere near enough to cover my loses

Ho volato da Milano a Tokyo andata e ritorno... Il mangiare fa schifo...per la prima volta in vita mia non sono stato in grado di mangiare a bordo di un volo, (sia in andata che al ritorno per i 4 voli necessari per raggiungere le mie destinazioni). Non si può scegliere o vedere il menù, l'applicazione fa schifo , ho dovuto chiedere che mi venissero caricati i punti perché non lo hanno fatto, i sedili sono come quelli dei voli low costa, l'intrattenimento è una presa in giro, 1 solo film , pochi in italiano e il resto (giochi e video ) pessimi. Molto ma molto ma molto meglio Emirates
Stay away from Etihad Airways
Very bad customer service. No help to get at all, and they don't reply. They promise to return with assistance, and I never hear from the company. Same story for two months now. Clearly they want to earn money on you as a customer, but when you need help they are nowhere to be seen or heard from.
Refundable tickets are not refundable
Refundable tickets are not refundable! They charge 50% of the ticket amount. Please look at the TnCs very carefully before booking. These guys are thieves.
