Leider gibt es nichts Gutes über Etihad zu berichten.
Schon vor unserem Flug am 30.11.2023 von Frankfurt nach Abu Dhabi und weiter nach Male kommt es bei einfachsten Dingen wie der „Sitzplatzreservierung“ im Internet zu erheblichen Problemen!!!
Danach wird einem der Flug zeitmäßig getauscht (was heutzutage ja schon fast üblich ist), dann werden einem die TEUERST bezahlten Sitzplatzreservierungen eigenmächtig getauscht, sodass meine Frau dann irgendwo im vorderen Bereich des Flugzeugs sitzt und ich im hinteren Bereich😡
Als ob das noch nicht genug wäre…. nein Etihad in persona „Buchungshotline“ setzt noch einen oben drauf und nimmt meine Frau -angesprochen auf das vorher genannte Sitzplatzproblem- von der Passagierliste😡
Jetzt telefoniere ich schon seit Tagen mit der Airline um den Fehler der Kundenbetreuung wieder rückgängig zu machen und meine Frau wieder auf die Passagierliste zu bekommen.
Warum man nicht einfach mal MACHEN kann und nicht ständig die Kunden in irgendwelchen Warteschlangen hängen lässt, weis ich nicht. Einfach total überfordert und unprofessionell.

Company that pride itself on customer DISSATISFACTION
We booked with Etihad 9 months out from our travel date. They cancelled our flight prior to our departure. I had paid extra for legroom, they did not honour this and worse still are not refunding me the price I paid (in good faith) for the extras.
I have had endless excuses from their online chat but nothing concrete and they do not answer their emails.
Their in flight service was awful.
I wouldn't never recommend them
First Time with Etihad - Excessive Unverifiable Charges
Finally, tried Etihad Airways from New York (JFK) on 9/28/23 to Bangkok (BKK), returning 10/9/23 (Booking Reference 49PZ7J). I heard positive reviews from friends. However, I did experience some disappointment. On the first flight segment from JFK to Abu Dhabi (Flight EY100), both my seat (37G) and my brother’s (37H) were unable to recline, with broken buttons. For an almost 13-hour flight, this made it very uncomfortable, especially for my brother with bad knees. The worst experience was during checking in at Bangkok for the return flight. Additionally, the seats felt narrowed and small for such a long flight. I had two bags, which were overweight. Additionally, I had a painting in a PVC that was less than 40 inches long, and 4 inches wide. Etihad was the only Airline I experienced making me check such a painting in. This addition, plus the excessiveness of another item, resulted in excessive baggage charge by one additional bag. This was infuriating as the painting could have easily fitted in an overhead compartment and the one above my brother only had one bag the whole flight. And as overhead compartments are designed, would have fit in the back lower part without impacting any bag stowage. Etihad charged me the fee of 11,020 Thai Baht or around $335.00 US. I find this not too be a reasonable charge. If it was $70 to $100, fine. But $335 – ridiculous. I checked on their website and could not locate the actual baggage charges to verify the fee. It seems on Etihad website, all the reasonable searches take you to the marketing of purchasing excessive baggage versus actually letting you know what the fee rates are for excessiveness. To counter the above, the flight attendants were outstanding – professional, attentive, and customer service oriented.
Terrible Customer service from Mohamed Sylla
I am owed a refund due to Etihad changing the date of my flight.
This issue is caused by Mr Mohamed Sylla (Sales and Servicing Agent), making many false promises to refund my money, but after 5 months I am still waiting.
Mr Mahomed Sylla is having a huge negative impact on the customer service levels at Etihad.
Be warned - Do not book flights with Etihad. (You can see many reviews of the same situation). Choose a better Airline such as Emirates or Virgin.

Det tog en vecka att få väskan med alla våra kläder och toalettassessoarer. Ingen ersättning för förenat baggage.
Supporten är under all kritik.
Ringer man dem så får man en indier som talar obegriplig engelska. När vi väl fick väskan så var den ituslagen och saknade hjul.
INGEN från Etihad har hört av sig för att hjälpa oss eller någon typ av ersättning. ÅK INTE MED DETTA FLYGBOLAG!!!
The worst company ever
The worst company ever, they broke all 4 wheels of my suitcase and refused to refund it, under the pretext that the suitcase has more than 5 years. I'll never travel with them again, and I don't recommend anyone to travel with them, because when there's a problem, they suck at handling it!

Etihad Airways are a rubbish airline. They agreed to compensate, after many prevaricating emails, me for delayed baggage on trip Manchester to Sydney to the value of £417.86 in April 2023. We are promised a refund for our flight…
We are promised a refund for a flight they changed the plane for on the day so we were demoted to economy from business. 60 working days later (their terms are 45 working days) no result after constant calls. Etihad employee even told us to be ‘patient’ and we have been after no call back after three promises they would.
We are also owed for our return flight where they promised us a full refund, apart from the admin fees, again absolutely nothing.
They have a dreadful system… contact us number can write notes but have no decision power, that’s all done in Dubai by another team/office and you can’t talk to them.

Miscommunication regarding allowed luggage and No service provided during 21 hours stay at airport
Refering to to my booking number which is V8RS3G , I travelled from Karachi to Manchester through Etihad airline on 26th May 2023 .Plz note following things which need to be compensated
1- I was told through email (dated 22 May) that , only 20 Kg of luggage is allowed and whereas at the time of boarding it was informed to me that I could carry 30 Kg. Due to this miscommunication I had to leave my important belongings at home in Karachi, which is costing me a lot in the UK as I have to buy things here.
2- Which is also a major reason for complaining is , during my 21 hours stay I was neither given room/food nor on arrival VISA due to which I had to face this inhuman behavior and stay at the seat of Abu Dhabi airport for more than a day.
in-spite of asking the transfer desk at Abu Dhabi airport , no one helped me in this regard which was a surprising and unexpected response for me from an airline of international repute like Etihad.
It is requested of you to look into this matter and compensate me for this non professional treatment
non functioning business seats not fit for purpose
I booked business class seats with Etihad costing almost £6000.00 to Thailand. I booked these as i had work commitments on my return and needed to sleep. The seat that I had was faulty and the electrics failed. This meant that the seat was stuck upright with the seat rest also stuck upright. The most awkward position which made it impossible for me to have any sleep and has given me bad neck and bad back. To make things worse then the inflight entertainment of my seat and tv stopped working as well. They also kept trying to fix the seat leaving me standing in the aisle for most of the flight.
I have complained to Etihad and they said that i was offered a wifi voucher for £9.99 and then they have offered me 10000 points the equivalent of a £100 flight.
I said this was unacceptable and they have said that I should be happy with this and refused to refund the segment of my flight that was so badly affected. I would have been more comfortable in a functioning economy seat at a fraction of the cost. I always thought Etihad were meant to have a premium business service. But the way i have been treated and the experience was horrific. I would advise against flying with them in business class.
I even asked for a further email to complain and escalate this to and guest relations consultant Tapiwa refused and said they deal with this and there is no way of me escalating this. Coming on here and then seeing how low their trust pilot score is was not a surprise. I wish i had checked this prior to paying £6000.00 for mine and my partners flights.

Era in corso una proposta di indennizzo da parte di Etihad ma alla fine mi dicono (via mail) che per comunicare con loro devo usare il loro sito; sul quale però non riesco più ad accedere. Bel modo per evitarsi le richieste.
Dovrebbero assolutamente migliorare il loro modo di relazionarsi con i clienti. Per ora, meglio evitare Etihad. A fronte di qualunque problema (e si verificano spesso a quanto leggo e sento. Nel mio caso una esperienza ed un problema) ci si trova di fronte ad un muro. Per ora, ove si possa, è una compagnia da evitare.
Business class seat and Rude Ground staff at Abu Dhabi
I paid for a premium business class seat and the seat was not fit for purpose. The recline mechanism was broken and not clearly maintained or checked appropriately. The staff interrupted the entire flight trying to fix it and it was an awful experience. Hard reset,soft reset pulling apart the seat everything was tried. On the 6hrs I had to share my 5 year old's seat for 4-5 hrs before it was finally rectified. The trip was a catalogue of errors that has put my entire family off using your airline again. We were also refused entry to the lounge despite it being promised during an online chat during the flight connection went up from 3.5 hrs to 7hrs due to a flight change/cancel from the airline itself. Beware of the booking's and they do not clearly show the Business/Economy and also take snapshot's of any chat communication you have that promise anything as Etihad ground staff can be extremely rude and need proof for everything.To treat a customer that has spent a significant sum on a booking that contains a business class product is absolutely disgraceful

First let me start with "very rude staff" at Manchester Airport, they did not accept my COVID Pass screenshot instead helping me they start showing me websites link which cost me 2 tickets, and also they made sure I have to buy another ticket they put me as no show. staff is very rude and unprofessional not helpful at all, I would not recommend to anyone to fly with this Airline.

Online booking not working always getting error messages and when contacting the customer service teams they are telling contact me 24 hours, now more than 24 hours finished. Then I tried once again and customer service team told 30 USD for each person, i think they are making the problem for this service charge.

He perdido el vuelo hacia Nueva Zelanda por culpa de esta gente. Me cambiaron el vuelo, y la escala que tenia que hacer en Melbourne de 5 horas pasó a 15. No sabía que ese cambio implicaba que cuando antes tenia todo el papeleo en regla, pues sólo necesitaba la NZeTA para viajar hasta Wellington ahora debido a este cambio también necesitaba la ETA. Cuando llego a facturar me piden el visado y yo le digo si la NZeTA aquí la tengo, y me dicen, no la ETA. Y digo, pero si eso es para Australia y yo viajo a Nueva Zelanda, y me dicen, claro pero haces escala en Melbourne y supera las 8 horas. Y yo ¿cómo? pero si no abandono el aeropuerto no es necesario, no porque no voy a hacer turismo allí. Y me dicen que aunque no abandone el aeropuerto se me exige. Les digo que no me avisaron de eso y se lavan las manos. Les pido que me den otro vuelo con escala inferior a 8 horas, y no disponen de ninguno. Les pido para el día siguiente y tampoco. Vamos que mi opción era pedir la ETA, con lo cual el viaje al carajo. Porque yo la pido, pero te la conceden como mínimo en 2 días, a veces puede tardar hasta 20 días por lo que me informaron en el puesto de Viajes El Corte Inglés del Aeropuerto de Barajas. Total, que me quedé sin concierto de mi grupo favorito que actuaban allí este 29 de abril y el coste de la entrada, perdí 2000 € del viaje de ida y vuelta Madrid-Wellington y Wellington-Madrid, un ferry contratado para ir de Wellington a Nelson, vuelo con Air New Zealand para volver a Wellington, el apartamento de Wellington para 10 noches, el Motel en Nelson para 4 noches, el taxi para ir al aeropuerto, taxi de nuevo para volver a mi casa, plastificado de la maleta, y objetos varios para el viaje más 370€ de hacer el cambio de dólares neozlandeses a euros y luego a la inversa para recuperar los euros. Vamos que he perdido más de 3000 € además de la posibilidad de ver a mi grupo favorito por segunda vez, la otra me la jodio el Covid y las que hubieran sido las mejores vacaciones de mi vida, pasadas además en mi cumpleaños.

● Booked 3 return tickets online (Zurich to Dhaka) and I have approved the payment using my UBS app right away. Money has been deducted from the account, which was confirmed by the Etihad Agent later.
● During the final stage the webpage returned an error: "Please try again. If the problem persists please contact us for more information (E/37578)". I called an agent right away, and I have been told that Etihad received money and provided me with the booking reference number, and asked me to wait 2hrs for the tickets. Talked to 2nd agent 2hrs later and asked me to wait for a further 2hrs. Talked to 3rd agent after 20hrs and told me they will refund me the money in 7 to 45 DAYS.😡 WHAT A JOKE.

Pathetic Customer Service and Refusal to Provide Refunds: My Disappointing Experience with Etihad
I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the airline's actions. Despite paying a premium for a fully refundable ticket and following the proper procedure to request a refund, I was denied the refund I was entitled to under their own terms and conditions. Instead, they offered me a credit to book another flight, which is unacceptable.
It is outrageous that the airline would cheat its customers like this and refuse to honor its own policies. I have no plans to travel in the near future, so this credit is of no use to me. It is clear that the airline values its profits over the satisfaction and well-being of its customers.
To make matters worse, the customer service I have received has been pathetic. I have had to follow up multiple times with no clear response or resolution, leaving me feeling even more frustrated and disappointed with the airline's service.
I strongly advise against using this airline if you have other options. Despite their marketing claims, they do not deliver on their promises and fail to provide even basic service to their customers.

I have purchased ticket directly from Etihad airways website on the 14/01/2023 flying from Manchester to Kochin.
I felt extremely embarrassed in-front of all the people for the first time as my card got rejected for no fault of mine.
I know all business hold payment such as soft payment amount first to see if the customer can afford the ticket then release payment. However Eithad payment team authorised 4 transactions in total starting off with £3,144 then payment of £860 , £1,142 and £1,142. In total for this booking Etihad charged me £6,288. I spoke to your advisor on +44 345 608 1225 and the lady I spoke to said it’s not the fault of Etihad and I need to speak to my bank but I phoned my bank first before contacting Etihad customer service team. I am extremely disappointed the way things are handled and leaving me in this situation.

Extremely bad experience DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. When I called they said there was a transit Visa but upon arrival I was denied entry. The airport denied the existence of a transit visa and the official made me pay 120 euros!!! I competency at its best. I will never fly through Saudi again!!
