Illegitimate fraudsters, we signed up for this app as a business last summer , left last year and in April of this year they are still charging us hundreds of pounds, AVOID.

Actually the app gives legit discount. HOWEVER, if things go wrong i.e problem with discount, payment etc - all I can say best of luck, they don’t reply to your emails.

So, pray that your transactions goes through smoothly.

I was charged twice for some reason and they still haven’t responded to my queries via text or message (been four days)

I am not happy with the behavior of Aditya singh of Greater Noida sector 1 behind ace city, Eat club outlet. Firstly he kept us wait for long and his staff provided stale food. The Portion was also very less .

I will never recommend this to anyone. The whole team was busy in gossip outside and his one team mate asked me to go out as Aditya is not available.

Literally the worst customer support and service I’ve ever experienced. Zero accountability, no real effort to resolve issues, and they clearly don’t care about customer frustration. You’re just another complaint in a long queue, so don’t waste your time or energy expecting help.

Not good customer support and I ordered my first order with them and estimated time for delevery iwas 20 30 min but I waited more 2 hrs and no response from eatclub and no refund no cancellation option.

Have been using the app for about 3 months and I’ve saved thousands. Also discovered great new spots I would otherwise have never been to. Paying is discreet - the staff don’t even know you’re using it most of the time. I must admit the takeaway function has been a bit hit and miss. You pay and order in the app and sometimes when you go to collect the restaurant hasn’t checked eat club notifications and only then begins preparing your order. Other than that it’s great though. I’ve saved heaps.

I have had 11 email exchanges providing screenshots of txt messages from eat club and bank account charges to prove that my eat club card was declined then charged, and then charged again. It has been going on for I month and I still have not been refunded. Customer service is terrible, and you cannot get through on their mobile number!

Tried ordering takeout impossible paid full price

Downloaded the app. Signed up. Linked my Apple Pay to the app. Got the discount voucher on the app for a restaurant. Went to eat then pay. Card machine said it was the regular price plus a fee. So, basically £1 more than the regular price. Luckily the machine asked me first. I declined and paid with a normal debit card the normal price minus the app fee. I've deleted the app now.

Horrible experience. Hope it would have been posisble to give negative stars. EatClub qualifies for it. They give you an estimated time of deleivery, dont deleiver it on time., When you call rider, rider says he has multiple deleiveries and can not confirm by when he will deleiver and arrogantly says that if you want to cancel you cancel. You dont have an option but to go out and eat food somewhere else., Customer care is non existent. Whoseever calls refused to accept mistakes and pushes you to accept stale food. Refunds are out of question for them even if they dont deleiver on time or deleiver stale food. Overall, had to delete app so as to not bear with them again.

Ordered from a restaurant however my order was cancelled after taking my money due to being out of stock. It’s been over a week and still haven’t received my refund which they said they have done the next day. Customer service said the would send me an email confirming the refund was actioned yesterday but they haven’t. I feel they just stole $15 without any problem. Be aware this just sounds like a dodge app.

I strongly encourage businesses to think twice before joining apps like this.
We are effectively building a giant that will eventually consume us.

These platforms use psychological persuasion, claiming they will “bring new customers” and that those customers “only cost you food.” You’re told that even after giving 30% discounts plus 10% commission, you’ll still be left with a healthy margin.
It sounds convincing — on paper.

The reality is very different.

As more businesses join, the platform profits more — not the businesses. That profit is reinvested into aggressive marketing, attracting more members and increasing dependency. Over time, businesses are forced to rely on constant discounts just to stay visible, while margins are quietly destroyed.

I know a well-known local café that is extremely busy every day yet making no profit at all. The business is now struggling and has been put up for sale.

This model is not sustainable.
This is not a partnership.

This is a warning.

Cheats and liars. I was just about to download the app when I decided to check trustpilot. I’m constantly seeing companies like this on Instagram stealing peoples money.

OK so I've used this app, allot, many restaurants across Melbourne, never once, was the price advertised, and the offer discount, aligned mathematically. There's no use of Australian consumer laws at all in this app, to be honest, everything is shady and based on lies, but here's a simple formula for those restaurants etc that advertise the same price in the app, as the price when you arrive in real life (I've witnessed allot of competitive price lies in the app, never rely on the price guides in eatclub app listings, the company stands by restaurant lies and does not amend the wrong pricing no matter how many people complain or point it out. Recommended you call ahead and learn the actual real price in the business menu) then, if eat club says it's 30% off, reality is, knock that down 5% so take the price, minus the advertised discount and then add 5% and this will give you the total amount, you will have been billed. Out of maybe $1200 discounts over more than a year using the app, mathematically this formula was the ongoing result, a 40% discount saved me 35% except when the restaurant lies about their prices, and in that case, I've paid more after discount, than what their ear club price menu advertises before the discount, for instance, one place advertises "big breakfast" in the eat club app as $19 before discount, and $13.53 after discount. Their price when arrived in real life was $29 and discount was advertised as 30% and after all the eat club additional price gauging, the unadvertised reality is the $29 big breakfast will cost $21.75
This is actually only 25% discount, and in fact, if you went there, using Australian laws for pricing which are really reliable and well inforced, easily enforceable, you would expect the price of $13.53 as advertised, and if you present the details to the restaurant owner, they must follow through with their advertising of the $19 rate, and then ear club must follow through with the $13.53 result. Another completely lying restaurant was a Indian dinner venue, and again, most prices on the menu in the app were complete lies, and my $86 bill expected, resulted in $116 deducted, this restauant used cheating lies in their actual menu in store too, in a few price listings, and the are a very popular Indian restaurant, which will be fined and maybe sit down for illegal use of what's called here in Australia, false advertising. It destroys other business's that do the right thing by taking advantage of customers to get their interest in the prices, and then steals money from the customers when they are paying the bill. This place use the technique of asking if you think the bill is correct, then charging. But there will be a line of people, you will feel rushed, so you won't have time to understand where they were lying until you go through the bill carefully with the menu in hand for each item.

Eat club stands by the lies in their menus and claims falsely to their customers that it's the restaurants requirement in eatclubs view, that the prices are correct, and so far, they have got away with it, but it's completely illegal, so too is the reality that it will cost 5% more than the genuine restaurants advertised price when combined with eat club discount after additional fees, this too is false advertising.
Eat club often offers kick back refund for complaints like, the place wasn't open when you arrived, or the name was different, or other unexpected issues the eat club advertised, but after the first price lies, they haven't offered any refunds for the other price lies yet. So yes, it's true, most of the time I've saved. Everytime I've been lied to about how much the saving will be, lies to by 5% and then if your not going to check the in real life prices with the online eatclub advertised price, you may actually pay more after discount, than the before discount advertised price, which means, in some cases, your being charged more than the advertised task price before discount. Meaning your offering extra money to use eatclub

On another note, it's restrictive, in a sense, not many places offer eat club, and most places don't offer it for very long, it seams the restsurants all have their complaints about being overcharged for eatclub services and it takes them a while to figure out the formula, the restaurants lose more money than they are informed of as well, adding to that, eatclub takes the money they kick back to costumers out of somewhere, the restaurants attract business from people seeking discounts. And it costs the people more than we think and it costs the restaurants more than they think

And all that money goes to another country. Eatclub is zero percent Australian owned or run. It doesn't at all support our taxes or our country the way local services do and will. The government will certainly catch up with them

They advertise on the app discount vouchers but when you dine & pay the bill in eat club app payment goes through but restaurant says not honoured and you have to pay whole bill and waiting for refund for the first amount deducted even after a week.

Literally the best idea ever. Has been such a good way to discover new restaurants and save a bit of money. I never used to eat out now I do all the time

We booked through the app for 8:30 in London tonight, including adding our bank details. When we arrived at the restaurant it was closed for a private event. Night ruined.

Eatclub’s response was for £10 credit for next time we want to gamble a night out with them. No thanks

A once fun and money saving club is sadly now more trouble than it's worth. Is it due to management changes? Terrible policies and it's difficult to use .. if you dont pay within an ever changing window .. discount gone! Eatclub didnt honour the discount but still took full payment. Very disappointing! Two golden rules are being broken: Accountability Transparency.
