10 blocks of mouldy cheese

Placed an order 15/4. Didn’t receive a confirmation email but they definitely have my email address as they have since sent me promotional emails.
Tried to contact through website but no response.
18/4 10 block of mouldy cheese arrived - revolting.
Contacted many times but no response. Money taken off my credit card - Thanks for your belated response. Look forward to receiving

Order never arrived

Order placed on 25th of March, not received yet. No idea when it will happen (at this point…IF it will happen). Worst service ever, I paid also the delivery charge…for no delivery!!!

Katrin, I am really sorry to hear about your experience with us. I have taken a look through your order and I can see that we have made an error in the products shipped. I have just arranged for your correct order to be re-shipped out to you.
Once again I am sorry for the error caused, and then the delay coming back to you. We experienced an influx of orders over the Bank Holiday, and with staff sickness too, we have just not been able to keep up. I am sorry that it has effected you as our customer. Your feedback helps us to do better, and we will.

Sadly had 4 of 9 block were mouldy and…

Sadly had 4 of 9 block were mouldy and I am unable to get customer service support for replacement. This was in Feb when best before was May 24. Been eating for years and in the past cheese gone 2 months over date with no problem. I hope they fix the problem, admit it and replace - then I will be back buying again.
19/4/24: Inceased to 4 stars, it took a couple of emails to resolve but Eatlean does care about their customer and does work to do the right thing. I will be ordering again

Mouldy cheese

They sent me a block of mouldy cheese (within bbe date) in my last order. I completed the online form as requested on 15 March & attached photographs. Customer service was previously good, now it's absolutely appalling: no follow up to my phone calls & emails. Have unsubscribed & will never buy from them again. Do not buy from this company.

DO NOT BUY SHORT DATE CHEESE

I made an order of the original and tasty on 3rd March, received it on 5th March and used a bit. I stored them in the fridge as required. On the 7th of March, poured the tasty over the original to use for meal prep, only to find mould in the tasty cheese.
This resulted to me having to discard both the original and tasty due to fear of food poisoning. I emailed customer service immediately to request a redelivery or a refund as the bbe date for the mature cheese was the 23rd of March but turned mouldy before the bbe. It is almost 2 weeks and there is no reply, 0 stars for customer service.

STAY AWAY

I’ve given the business more than a week in goodwill to respond to my emails and phone calls. NOTHING.

I ordered their big fridge topper or whatever is called for the first time after getting some of their cheese from a supermarket. Upon arrival I put almost all of it in the freezer. The one packet I kept out had mold in multiple spots. It’s unopened and the seal hasn’t been broken. Had to throw it all away because I couldn’t tell what was moldy or frosted (given I only saw the moldy packet the next morning and by then the rest of it was frozen.
Also, for anyone thinking I could have eaten the non moldy one…. A head of cheese can develop mold in the rind and it’s fine. For sliced and grated cheese to have mold visible means that the mold is into the cheese and probably the whole batch. OR there is contamination in the packaging process. The packet is still in my fridge if the company has any questions. Seal intact.

More mouldy cheese in last order

Was a huge fan of Eatlean, but after opening the smoke cheese and finding it green with mould I email customer support. A week later I still have yet to hear back from them. I’ve sent photos which included the batch number and best before date. Nothing! They seem to be ignoring the problem.
I’ve placed an order every other month for almost a year. You have to order a decent amount to making shipping worthwhile. And it’s not cheap!
Yet as soon as there’s an issue, they ignore you hoping the problem will go away.

Ich kaufe den Käse regelmäßig im…

Ich kaufe den Käse regelmäßig im Kaufland. Heute habe ich wieder eine Packung erwischt, die komplett verschimmelt ist (nicht zum 1.x). Leider sieht man bei der undurchsichtigen Verpackung (Käse am Stück) das nicht. Nun muß ich morgen wieder hin und reklamieren. Ich werde ihn nicht mehr kaufen. Sehr schade.

15 blocks of ordered 100% mouldy

I received an order of 15 large mature blocks of mature cheese.
Delivered on Tuesday 20.02.2024.
Best Before : 21/03/24
batch number : 23356

I went to make my sandwich for work on 22.02.2024 and to my horror upon opening the first pack of 15 it was green and mouldy.
I then continued to open all the other packs to find that all 15 blocks are green and mouldy.

The company seems to have been going through a cost cutting period as their shipping is now terrible too.
No shipping information at all and no tracking

Don't buy their short dated food

Don't buy their short dated food. I bought some packs of mature cheese and it became mouldy before the sell by date. I reached out to their customer service team, and instead of resolving it quickly, they directed me to another form to upload a bunch of unnecessary information which I don't have (as I threw the cheese away)- including photos and lot code etc. I'm not asking for much but a good customer experience should be on the company to look this information up themselves. They said they can't do much without a photo and I didn't think to take one as I was so grossed out, so I guess I won't be buying any of their short dated food again- or any cheese for that matter if this is how distrusting they are of their customers.

Irresponsible company

I thought twice before writing this review, since this is not my usual way of handling issues. on the other hand, the company refused to take responsibility for a major incident that posed health hazard to me and my eldest - individuals with serious health issues.

I used to be a very happy, regular customer. Having taken a break form ordering due to personal circumstances, I tried to place an order a few weeks ago. The company forgot to send it - twice in a row. After cancelling the latter and placing a new one, I was disappointed to receive a whole lot of mouldy blocks. I quickly took a couple of pics and forwarded to Eatlean. Couldn't do more due to my health issues and can guarantee handling that piece to shoot the images already triggered a respiratory crisis. Had to double bag the rest and discard without further ado.

They asked to submit a complaint form. Shockingly, their short answer was that given that I failed to provide a full photo report of the whole order, they would only and "out of goodwill" send a partial refund. I did explain my situation and that although I understood that there are procedures in place for a reason, I felt they should acknowledge responsibility for the mishap, as well as that I was simply unable to handle the contaminated products. The rest of the exchange was less than pleasant.

I do appreciate their reasons and explanation. However and given what consequences of such incident could have been, I feel that priorities should remain such and that the way my complaint was handled was simply inappropriate. I guess it is the lack of kindness and "human touch" that really upset me. I felt treated as a nuisance, a whiner, when not a liar. Losing a customer like me was clearly put as a relief for them that I took as hurtful.

Suffice to say that a hint of sympathy would have changed much. I opened a PayPal claim, hoping to at least retrieve funds.

Einmal alles ok, einmal ein Totalreinfall

Ich hatte 2023 zunächst eine positive Erfahrung mit Eatlean, als meine erste Bestellung reibungslos verlief. Der proteinreiche Käse überzeugte mich und meine Frau geschmacklich und von den super Nährwerten.

Leider änderte sich mein Eindruck bei der zweiten Bestellung (28.11.) im November, kurz nach dem Black Friday. Es kam nie ein Paket an und meine Anfragen per E-Mail blieben unbeantwortet.

Trotz des verständlichen Stresslevels in der geschäftigen Jahreszeit sollte ein professionelles Unternehmen eine bessere Kommunikation gewährleisten. Nach mehr als vier Wochen ohne jegliches Lebenszeichen entschied ich mich, die Bestellung über Paypal zu stornieren, da ich nicht mehr damit gerechnet habe Paket oder Feedback zu bekommen.

Bedauerlicherweise erhielt ich bis heute weder eine Entschuldigung noch Antworten auf meine Fragen. Die Stornierung über Paypal scheint einfach hingenommen worden zu sein.

Obwohl meine erste Erfahrung positiv war, erscheint mir eine 50%ige Erfolgsquote nicht ausreichend für ein vertrauensvolles Kundenerlebnis. Es wäre wünschenswert, dass Eatlean Maßnahmen ergreift, um solche Probleme zu minimieren und die Kundenkommunikation zu verbessern. Interessenten sollten dies bei ihrer Entscheidung berücksichtigen.

Poor customer service

Contacted the customer service team via email. Takes 2 working days to respond, significatly slower than any other company ever. The response was unhelful and shirt and when I asked for further help they have since ignored me for 6 days!

Really helpful customer service

Really helpful customer service when I realised I'd made an error in my order. Very prompt responses. I've been buying Eatlean for a good while now, (I need to watch fat intake - so ideal). I'm perfectly happy.

Ware verschimmelt, keine Antwort auf E-Mail

Da wir mit unserer ersten Bestellung bei Eatlean zufrieden waren, haben wir ein zweites Mal bestellt.

Dieses Mal waren die Kühlakkus leider bereits komplett warm und zwei davon sind ausgelaufen. Dies hatte zur Folge, das 2 von 6 Packungen bereits komplett verschimmelt und grün waren. Daraufhin wollten wir die verbleibenden auch nicht mehr guten Gewissens verwenden.

Auf eine detaillierte E-Mail inklusive Bilder und Erklärung wurde nie geantwortet. Da der Versand aus UK erfolgt, ist eine Reklamation so gut wie unmöglich.

Ich kann daher nur von einer Bestellung abraten.
