I'm 81, but still a very active entertainer, I recently decided I wanted to switch from moderate guitar playing to Bass, so, I have been trying to self-learn, getting nowhere so I perused the web for a long time and finding so many teachers and offers there I became overwhelmed. There were many that seemed quite a good fit and many not so good. James kept piquing my interest to the point I decided to give him a try, and right away I started to feel this was a very good fit for where I am as a Bass player and where I want to be as a Bassist. With eBass and James and Co. there are so many unexpected perks. I'm sure if you ask me in a few months, my reply might be 3 X as long as this! Looking forward to the next few months, as my progress in these 2 or 3 weeks has been greater than the past few years! Thank you eBassguitar and James.

I really enjoyed the Ear Training Course. Sian is an excellent teacher and I appreciated the 2 step approach from the easier learning step to the more advanced.

James does a good job in giving bass players the core skills they need to succeed. He does a wonderful job.

An intelligent and well designed course with loads of resources to help the aspiring bass player of any genre.

Excellent place for all beginner bassists to learn.
Well explained in simple easy language and videos and literature with loads of downladable material for the over 50's learning this fabulous instrument.
James and his fellow instructors are clear and concise and don't over complicate things.
His other staff are helpful and always reply to your emails if you email them.
The fellow students are helpful no putting you down if you ask anything in the forums.

James' lessons really work as he says in his videos. They really helped me move forward in my playing, I even enjoy it more. For older beginning bass players, this is one of the best concepts I know. I highly recommend

Excellent courses and community supporting a wide range of bass topics. Well targeted at players like myself who are a bit longer in tooth. My years membership flew by with many insights and improvements gained.

Also Introduced me to the excellent Don Chandler the Reggae bass maestro.

the only down side is ive been a member for probably over ten years on a monthly basis paid the yearly fee 3 times over and i still have to pay my monthly fee

Great environment to learn within, and at your own pace, there is a wealth of knowledge, skills, and experience to tap into, the actual courses and training utilise video content and downloadable materials to help as well as the ability to ask questions/seek help as needed there oh, is a virtual social scene with regular on line events too.

well priced, effective, and a personable team, so…dip your toes in, as a complete novice I'm teally impressed and thats no easy thing for me 😂

I found people of the same age with the same problem: coming back to playing the bass after decades, and a person who seems to know how to help us achieve that. Decided to give it a try for 6 months.

EBassGuitar is a truly great resource for people (old or young) who are new to, or learning, bass guitar. Rock solid fundamentals and logical step-by-step progressions. James's explanations are easy to understand and follow.

The publications are very, very good and wide in content, depending on what you want to learn. It's my style of learning because I scribble and markup the pages as required to embed the information into my memory.
