The worst trip ever, bus driver smoked 5 cigarettes while driving
Had an absolutely awful experience. Driver was smoking while driving, my seat and the one next to it were covered in melted chocolate, we had to turn around and pick up passengers from the previous stop.
Unprofessional company
Driver came to the border crossing (Lithuania-Belarus) without documents that allow him to cross the border. We are awaiting for 4 hours when other driver will deliver documents from other side of the border.

Dieses Mal unmögliches Personal unfreundlich macht irgendwie alles mit Wut eventuell sollte er lieber ein LKW mit Schweine fahren. Es gab auch keine Verpflegung wie auf der Hinfahrt. Bei fast Verdoppelung der Preise sollte der Service aber bei weitem besser sein!

Я приобрела билет на рейс Oldenburg – Minsk (№30625489) всего за 9 часов до отправления и сразу же отказалась от поездки. Билет не был использован, услуга фактически не оказана.
Компания вернула только 50% стоимости, ссылаясь на внутренние правила возврата (за 24–1,5 часа до рейса). Однако при покупке билета за 9 часов до отправления физически невозможно соблюсти условие «отказ более чем за 24 часа». Это ставит пассажира в заведомо невыгодное положение и выглядит несправедливо.
Я обратилась в службу поддержки с просьбой вернуть 100%, так как считаю, что если услуга не оказана, клиент должен иметь право на полный возврат. Сейчас жду окончательного ответа.
⚖️ Надеюсь, компания пересмотрит такие правила, ведь добросовестное отношение к клиентам и уважение к их правам — важная часть репутации.

Sent a complaint to their email and was brushed off and told they “only accept complaints through website”. Honey (Zane who responded), you can just click “forward” and send it to complaints department, it’s not that difficult. I’m not filling out no forms or making more effort when I’ve already sent a very detailed email.
The issue - there’s no regulation on their terms and conditions about loud behavior - talking on the phone, listening to music / videos out loud. I have had so many conflicts with passengers who are disrespectful towards everyone by being pound and disturbing. Why do I have to tell grown men to turn their voice down and that the whole bus doesn’t want to listen to his children on loudspeaker?
I have emailed and complained about this several times already, never response or improvements. All it takes is adding a point in terms of use which would allow the staff to take action. Then all you have to do is putting some stickers (like
No smoking) around the salon with image “headphones on - volume off”. IT’S NOT HARD.
Please do something! Why does whole bus have to suffer because of some hillbilly who has no respect and common sense? I’m furious. 20 hour bus ride with this specimen and I can’t do anything about this behavior.

Моя поездка оставила крайне неприятное впечатление. Автобус прибыл с задержкой более двух часов, при этом никакой информации о причине или времени прибытия пассажирам не предоставлялось. Вокзал был закрыт, персонал других автобусов грубо отказывался помочь, горячая линия почти не отвечала.
При посадке возникли проблемы с билетами — система не показывала некоторые купленные места, в том числе детские, и пассажиры были вынуждены самостоятельно разбираться с местами, часть которых продавалась несколько раз.
Оплата багажа производилась ночью, в крайне неудобных условиях, а ручную кладь не принимали без дополнительной оплаты. В салоне автобуса присутствовали неприятные запахи из туалета, уровень чистоты был низкий.
Водители и стюардессы проявляли грубость и пренебрежение к пассажирам, не помогали решить возникающие вопросы и не пытались сделать поездку комфортной.
В итоге поездка была стрессовой, небезопасной и крайне неприятной, и я не могу рекомендовать этот рейс.

I recently purchased a return ticket from Vilnius to Prague with ECOLINES and faced a serious issue. Despite carefully selecting my return date (August 21), their website glitched and booked me for September 21 instead. I noticed the mistake less than an hour after purchase and tried to change the date via their website and app — both kept freezing and crashing.
I contacted their support immediately, but their response was disappointing. They refuse to refund the amount to my ecoBonus account, insisting on a refund only to my bank card — which can take up to 15 working days. This delay and inflexible policy make it impossible to rebook quickly, causing me unnecessary stress and inconvenience.
The technical problems on their side, combined with poor customer service and rigid refund policies, make me question their reliability. Be very cautious when booking tickets with ECOLINES online.
Is it Latvian or russian?
They position as Latvian company but in fact they are regulated by russian transport law, emails got in russian, review links in russian... I will avoid forever
Bus cancelled
The bus I had booked was cancelled. No notification, no reason given.
I went to their info office. The employee was kind. She arranged for a refund which was in my bank account the same day.
Booking with them could be more trouble than it's worth.
I would like to start positively, unfortunatelly there is hard to find something positive on this ride.
When I arrived at the Ostrava Svinov bus station, number 2, in front of the train station, I was unable to find any Ecolines information. To clarify the situation, I tried to call the helpline, but the automated answer directed me to the website and hung up the call after 55 seconds. I sent an email to request information. I had also tried making another call.
Then I check the website where it is written Ostrava (UAN), which is 7km away. So information between Ostrava Svinov - Ostrava UAN! How confusing for someone who does not live in Ostrava.
We had to take Uber which took as to Ostrava UAN from Ostrava Svinov.
There we saw the bus, with unprofessinal Russian driver. I based this on information since he can't speak English, Czech or Polish. His comunication was only repeating passport as he probably doesn't know any other word. I hold Czech citizenship since I should not need passport to travel in EU. Bus left Ostrava (UAN) at 16:35 even the scheduled time was 16:40
My theory about the Russian driver is based on his answer to my question if he can open luggage department for us in Krakow and he simply said Нет.
Since this was quite stressful experience, I gave them a chance to improve their reputation before I post it on travel websites with all relevant information. I have waited for 2 weeks before I posted it here.

Моя поездка 03.07 до 04.07 из Риги в Магдебург была очень хорошая. Отличные водители и очень приятная и профессиональная стюардесса Юлия. Информация точная,на трёх языках, очень внимательная. Салон чистый,туалет чистый, водители профессионалы,всё очень чётко и отлично работает. Могу только порекомендовать ехать с компанией Ecolines. Спасибо за заботу.
Probleme mit Gepäck
Ich bin früher des öfteren mit Ecolines von Berlin nach Vilnius gefahren. Mein Problem war das zusätzliche Gepäck. Bei Ecolines scheint es keine einheitliche Regelung dafür zu geben. Man ist dem Launen des Fahrers ausgeliefert. Auch über das Internet gibt es keine Möglichkeit zusätzliches Gepäck zu buchen.
Deshalb habe ich mich entschlossen mit Flixbus zu fahren, wo diese Sachen eindeutig besser geregelt sind. Außerdem werde ich nicht gezwungen nachts fahren.
Bei der Datum der Erfahrung habe ich das Datum meiner letzten Fahrt angegeben, aber das Problem bestand bei allen Fahrten, wo ich Sondergepäck hatte.

I want everybody to know what happened when I travelled from Vilnius to Lviv( Ukraine) ; no complaint regarding ecolines itself; but when I bought ticket Vilnius-Lviv, #27647663,Line 8241, due to depart from Vilnius 22.04.2025 it turned out that not Ecolines was due to operate but his partner in Ukraine Autolux trading; on the board there were no information about the route,nor was any on the WEB when I have been buying the ticket. In fact my destination was Khmelnitsky in Ukraine. On the WEB was only information that there was a line from Lviv to Khmelnitsky at 06.00 in the morning the next day. When I asked the driver in Iviv is it the right bus he replyed yes. When I checked the WEB once more it turned out the there were two busses starting at the same time at 06.00: one was direct to Khmelnitsky with duration 4 hours and another bus going long way through Ivanofrankivsk with duration 6h 30. I was happily sleeping when awoked in another city. Two years earlier was the same situation and drivers then told passengers if needed to take their suitcases and change busses, there is such practice in Ukraine when two busses start and travellers may need to change carriers and continue.Nothing happened this time, the driver must have warned me to change the buss but he only was happy to grab 500 hrivnas from me as additional price for driving me to Khmelnitsky from Lviv.
I tried to refuse but he told me that he will not give me my suitcase .When I tried to explain that it not appropriate to treat passengers that way and that he should warn In Lviv to change bus. Instead he insolently replied that I should have switched the "smart device" ( meaning your head and brains). I replied that I have been asking in Lviv about the rout; he turned his back.
Now when a war ongoing in Ukraine and president running around for help it is very strange how ukrainians treat europeans. I myself never advise to take them to EU. And Ecolines must revise their commitment with any bus carrier and inform passengers beforehand about the rout and who performs.
The bus got broken
I strongly do not recommend using the services of this company. We have gone through a huge stress after this trip.
The date of our travel was on 09 June 2025. We went from Krakow to Rivne (the bus route was Prague-Kiev though). When the bus moved from the auto station, it got broken. The driver instead of solving the emergency situation and calming down the passengers - just informed that the people going from Prague will be moved to the next ecolines bus (in several hours), and they will move forward. The people who sat in Krakow were offered to eaither remain in the bus (for several days or longed depanding on the repair of this bus) or stay somewhere in Krakow. Nobody even offered to help getting back to the station. Therefore, we had to call taxi to get back to the station and find another but to return home. Still, the money return was not done (the money are being on the pending balance and will get on the active balane within 15 days only). No compensation was also offered or any help with anything. The company took none responsibility of this situation and did not bother themselves with the fortune of their passengers. Please note also that we were going with 2 kids - 1 teen and one 9-year-old one. The driver was very rude as well and even told one of the passengers to shut their mouth and go our of the bus. That was totally unacceptable.

The following issues occurred: - The scheduled departure time was 08:00, but the bus actually departed after 9:00. - At the Stuttgart bus station, the platform number was not provided, which caused significant confusion and additional stress while searching for the bus. - The phone number provided in the booking confirmation for inquiries was not reachable, and I did not receive any response. - Despite booking the "Senior 60+ add. Seat" fare (ticket number: 27496305), I was not offered an additional seat. - The stewardess explicitly and unfriendly informed me that I was not entitled to an additional seat. - The bus drivers were disrespectful during the baggage handling process.
