Amazing service received from these guys!! Extremely organised and everything was there ready and good to go..

All staff made me feel very relaxed and special. I received many congratulations from staff and compliments throughout the day. They created a wonderful atmosphere.

Staff were really helpful, I was nervous and panicking, they were really reassuring and calmed me down, taught me how to keep my gown in place and how to move it correctly, helped me place bobby pins on my hat, I was really unsure where to put my gown after I was finished and pointed me in the right direction, very lovely bunch!

Efficient and friendly service. Helpful on the day with fitting.

I wrote a review about them asking me to pay £40 to send me the same digital image they edited and printed and sent me, they wrote a very misleading reply and I would like to reply here!
Edit:I didn’t ask for any additional digital photos! It’s not a new additional image! It’s the same image I purchased and which you ALREADY “carefully” edited and printed! So it’s a matter of just sending the same image I already paid for + you already edited and printed and sent a hard copy of, which you ALREADY have! THEN HOW COME THIS COSTS ADDITIONAL MONEY AND NOT ANY MONEY £40 LOL!
Edit2: YES and that’s why I’m writing this negative review for you because your company just charges extra ridiculous amounts for nothing just because and you don’t even have a reasonable explanation for it! Sending me your complaint email won’t do anything but I will send it and if I got the same response I will still add it here!

An easy, smooth process, and the gown and cap were good quality and lovely to wear

Recently graduated with a postgrad award from Leicester University.
My gown ordering was easy. On the day collection was well organised and the gowning staff were great at helping to get it all on correctly!
Returning it all at the end of the day was super easy too.
Great job!

The staff, with one chap in particular at Manchester Uni was very helpful and was at hand to make sure we looked the part. Great service.

Getting the robe was fast and efficient, and the people who helped me wear it were clearly well trained. Returns process was also easy.

The service was good, the quality was good, the staff member that helped me was handsome and friendly.

My only problem was that my cap was slightly too small for my head, so during the ceremony my cap kept repeatedly falling off my head. I had voiced my concerns, durinf my dressing, to that handsome staff member, but he reassured me that it would be fine. Evidently it was not.

The gown hire was very professional and very straightforward on the day which made the day less stressful. Additionally, I would like to commend the staff for being able to cater to my specific hairstyle needs. As someone with 4B hair who had an afro-style hairstyle on the day, I was worried about how my cap would fit on my head without ruining the style but the team was prepared with additional hat sizes as well as hair pins to secure the cap in place.

The individual service and support was greatly appreciated.

Ede & Ravenscroft did a wonderful job of providing academic dress for my graduation ceremony at Leicester in 2026. The texts and emails beforehand ensured no stress in wondering if I had correctly ordered my gown. They were able to give me my gown and hat a few minutes before the ceremony began, and even switched the cap to a better fitting one after the ceremony. I missed out on the official photos on the day and E&R staff were incredibly kind and sympathetic to me while I was upset at missing out what felt like a huge part of the day. They were able to smoothly extend my hire for a week so I could arrange for private studio photos. The return process was simple, they provided a bag for me to take to a drop off point to post back. A huge thanks to the staff on the day, both the fitters and those behind the service desk.

The event was busy, the gown fitting a little like a production line, yet the young lady helping me was really diligent, considerate and unhurried. It was very hot and wearing the gown was uncomfortable, but the fitter worked hard to put me at my ease and make my experience of the day better.

Oh the staff were so lovely I’m not sure of the lady who helped me but she was so nice, she made me look great and she’s really help me with my nerves too😭 5/5

The team made my graduation go so smoothly and my cap, gown and hood were perfect. I would definitely recommend using Ede & Ravenscroft.
The process of getting the academic dress on was great although the staff member who served me wasnt really helpful whereas other staff I saw made it seem like I really nice experience. I only knew the correct way for my hat and how things should sit from overhearing. Just a small detail of the day that made me feel slightly like an inconvenience.
