rates in the welcome pack are significantly higher than those agreed on during sign up process - without any mention of the reasons. If we didn't check - we'd be paying these rates. Deceitful. Requests for clarification or cancellation are not answered by the company. Looking to engage with consumer affairs to report it.

UPDATE: only after posting this review the supplier contacted me and finally corrected the prices that we signed up for. There is still no explanation as to why they signed me up to a more expensive plan without consulting me first. It is alike to buying a 65" TV and receiving a 40"TV without any explanation. This is what they did effectively, I signed up for one rate and they created an account with a more expensive rate without a note, if I did't double check - I would be paying the more expensive rate which I did not agree to.

Response: in your letter dated 18-06-21 you have advised that you applied the proper plan that we signed up for. How does that correspond with your latest reponse - I don't understand - your response contradicts your own company's official communication. If our setup is not compatible with the plan we signed up for - why did you enter into contract to supply this plan to me as per your official welcome pack of 18-06-21? As mentioned above - I am satisfied with the resolution after you applied the pricing which we signed up for. but I am not satisfied with 1: your company initially slipping in a more expensive plan without any notice, 2: not responding on my request until I posted a negative review.

I tried to sign up with electricity in a box and besides not being able to get through on the phone and emails taking days to be replied to...the rates that I was offered when signing up online varied significantly to what I was offered in my welcome pack so buyers need to be aware and screen print the rates offered on their website and compare to what they are actually offered

I was one of the first pilot users of Electricity in a box , The service cutover was seamless. All communications are available on line and I don't need to pick up a phone which suits me and i expect will suit others. Often we find we are better at getting solutions ourselves rather than calling a phone line, sitting on hold and trying to get someone else to do it for us.
