Overall, a good prop firm with room to improve one key rule
I've had a positive experience with Eleonex. I like how they operate, I rate their customer service and I respect that their focus is on making sure traders trade properly and manage risk properly. That's clearly why certain rules are in place, and I think that's the right priority.
My main criticism is the 1% risk rule. It makes it very difficult to trade good setups, especially on the 5K, 10K and 25K accounts. I've had a few accounts closed because of this specific rule while I was focused on following the daily loss and max loss limits. It isn't clearly shown in the objectives for each account, and it should be. Making it transparent would stop traders being caught out by a rule they didn't realise was a hard breach. I'd also ask Eleonex to rethink the limit itself and allow a little more flexibility, while keeping the daily loss and max loss exactly as they are.
On payouts (for weekly), I'd like to see five green days unlock a payout without the consistency rule. If Eleonex wants to keep a consistency rule, I think 50% would be more workable.
I also want to say thank you. I won a ticket to the Dubois vs Wardley fight and Eleonex went the extra mile and arranged a second ticket for my girlfriend, so I didn't have to go alone. Eleonex sponsors Daniel Dubois and the Eleonex team even came to watch the fight, I got to see Mr Eleonex himself when he came over to our section and introduced himself. Daniel Dubois won the fight and it was a fantastic experience. It was a very thoughtful gesture and shows Eleonex value their traders.
Eleonex kept appearing on my Instagram feed and I had a good feeling about the company. I believe it has the potential to be an even better prop firm in the months and years to come.
