Thank you for taking the time to leave your review.

I'll be honest, it took us a couple of attempts to decipher it, but we think we've managed to work out most of what you were trying to say. Between the profanity, the spelling, the grammar and the repeated confusion between "there" and "their", we're sure readers will form their own opinion before they even reach the end of the first sentence.

You begin by saying we're "not a tunning place."

The rest of the review then complains about our tuning.

We'll let readers enjoy that contradiction for themselves.

You then criticise us because we don't carry out coding, repairs and other garage services.

That's absolutely correct.

We don't.

Because we're not a garage.

We've never advertised servicing, MOTs, brake replacements, vehicle repairs or coding. We are, and always have been, a specialist ECU tuning company. That's all we've done for over 20 years.

During that time we've custom tuned approximately 60,000-70,000 vehicles every year, not just at our headquarters in Leeds, but through one of the UK's largest dealer networks and an extensive worldwide network of professional tuning specialists.

If we'd simply "bought the software to do it" as you suggest, we'd probably have had enough spare time over the last two decades to become mechanics, tyre fitters and MOT testers too. Instead, we've focused on becoming specialists in ECU calibration.

You also complain that when customers have mechanical problems, we recommend garages.

Correct.

If someone arrives with a faulty injector, worn clutch, boost leak or another mechanical fault, we'll recommend a reputable repair specialist because... and this is the important bit... we're not a repair garage.

Then there's our favourite part.

"The rolling road never moves."

You're absolutely right.

It doesn't.

It's bolted to the floor.

It's a linked and braked 4WD dynamometer weighing several tonnes. If it started moving around the workshop we'd probably have much bigger concerns than online reviews.

We're assuming you actually meant it wasn't being used during your visit. Not every customer books dyno time and not every vehicle requires it. Standing next to a stationary dyno and concluding it doesn't work is a little like standing in an empty airport and deciding aeroplanes have stopped flying.

You also state we refused you a refund.

Interestingly, the very next sentence says you never actually asked for one.

That does make it rather difficult for us to have refused it.

Finally, we'd like to address the claim that we're "brothers of con men."

This was particularly amusing, as neither the owner nor any member of staff actually has any brothers. Unless you've uncovered a family secret that we've somehow missed over the last 20 years, we're afraid this allegation is just as accurate as the rest of the review.

Perhaps the biggest mystery is that your review contains no name, no vehicle registration, no invoice number, no booking reference and no description of the work supposedly carried out. In short, nothing that allows us to identify you as a genuine customer.

If this review does relate to a genuine visit, we'd be more than happy to investigate. Simply contact us with your details and we'll review everything thoroughly.

After more than 20 years specialising exclusively in ECU tuning and building a reputation trusted by customers and dealers throughout the UK and beyond, we're confident that anyone reading both your review and our response will have little difficulty deciding which version seems the more believable.

Nevertheless, thank you for the entertainment. It's certainly one of the more memorable reviews we've received.

For the benefit of anyone reading this, it's important to provide some context that has been omitted.

Firstly, Tomasz was never a retail customer bringing us a vehicle for tuning. He was a trade customer purchasing tuning files from us.

Secondly, this review has nothing to do with the quality of our software. It stems from the fact that we ultimately refused to continue supplying him.

We pride ourselves on supporting our dealers, regardless of experience, and we invested a considerable amount of time trying to help you. Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that you were accepting work that you simply weren't equipped or experienced to undertake. Rather than decline those jobs or seek additional training, the expectation seemed to be that we would solve every problem for you.

We still tried to help.

The relationship only came to an end when you asked us to carry out work that we considered to be illegal. That request was refused immediately, and our position has never changed.

Since then, you've chosen to leave a review suggesting that "most" of the vehicles had problems. Curiously, despite making such a serious claim, you've provided no vehicle registrations, no invoices, no dates, no fault reports and no evidence whatsoever to support it.

You also state that another tuner fixed everything.

That's entirely your choice, and we're genuinely pleased if your customers' vehicles were ultimately resolved. However, making sweeping statements without providing a single verifiable example doesn't help anyone reading this review reach an informed conclusion.

You also claim we "won't know you" if you make complaints.

Again, that simply isn't true.

Anyone familiar with Elite Remaps knows we have built our reputation over more than 20 years by providing ongoing support to both retail and trade customers. Our support records speak for themselves, and many of our dealers have been with us for years.

What we won't do is ignore the law, compromise our standards or carry out work that we believe is illegal simply because someone asks us to.

We're always happy to support genuine customers and genuine dealers, but there has to be a line, and that line is legality.

We stand by the decision we made then, and we would make exactly the same decision today.

We wish you every success with your chosen supplier.
