Switched from Microsoft 365 after constant price hikes and annoying upsells felt like I was funding their empire, not my business. Emails were reliable, but the per-user fees killed my budget as a freelancer. Migrated to TrekMail, and haven't looked back. Avoid if you want affordability and no bloat!
Outdate company
It's 2026. I shouldn't have to operate two separate laptops to generate an email template for both Mac and PC.
Aside from the extremely outdated UX across all apps... Pick a file type and use it.
For lots of days
For several days, I have been unable to log in to my Microsoft 365 business email because the authentication factor is not working. Despite lots of attempts to contact customer support by email and phone, I have received no response.
This issue has significantly disrupted my business operations, as I rely on email for daily communication and essential tasks. The inability to access my account, combined with the lack of timely and badly support, is extremely frustrating.
For a service marketed as professional and reliable, this level of customer service is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Microsoft 365 to businesses that depend on consistent email access.

I work for the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration, and unfortunately, I have to use Microsoft 365 and Outlook for email. My experience is a digital nightmare, and it results in at least a 10% productivity loss.

We have had a very bad experience trying to resolve our email delivery issue with our Microsoft email. The support team has not provided any resolution even after a long waiting period. Due to this delay, our customers are facing issues, and it is causing significant business loss for us.

I submitted Microsoft 365 as Free Trial 1mo, but decided cancel. No way. The option to cancel was stupid. No direct @click@ to cancel. Microsoft site redirect you several times without result.
Phone call did nothing, answering machine does not connect to agent or customer support.
E-mail communication confirmed my request with case cancelation number, but, they did not cancel subscription. And most stupid Microsoft charged first bill.
Once again, NO phone support, NO e-mail help.

Paid for Microsoft365 personal subscription as trial to see if outlook can manage multiple email accounts and a single calendar over PC, Android mobile and iPad as promised. After 5 weeks and support where they had to downgrade to outlook classic it works, almost... to reach support for outlook on mobile is impossible, still issues with outlook on mobile. Microsoft first & seccond line support have most likely lost the grip, software seem to be extremely complicated to understand even for experts.

The new MSO365 outlook is attacking and alienating my customers
first of all MSO365 changed outlook in 2025 and the functions hardley work. going through recent email i picked up some junk mail i no longer want. So i click on it and then ask it to sort alphabetical...... low and behold the email screen bounces bck to "Ã" then you have to scroll through and try and find the email that was highlighted.... yup its no longer highlighted. Go back, start again and copy down the email address and do it all manually. BUT!, how is this latley i had issues with my clients not being able to book appointments - I FOUND IT WAS BECAUSE MICROSOFT 365 SAYS MY SUBSCRIPTION IS EXPIRED!!! IT IS PAID WEEKLY BY AUTO DEBIT - FOR NEARLY 5 YEARS, NO PROBLEMS.
It put a tiny notice along the top of my calendar. After working with calendly for 3 days trying to fix the problem i saw this i clicked everything went away. everything started working again. NOW IT IS BACK AGAIN

Want to rate this mind-blowing "software" lower than 1 star... This "software" wants to connect all your devices with the "co-pilot" by that way giving to this AI thing permission to all of you data. If you don't do that - you can't use "already paid from you services of Microsoft 365...AND THE SAME TIME FOR AT YOU GO FURTHER USING THIS "SOFTWARE" YOU HAVE TO "LOG IN TI YOUR ACCOUNT" more than 50 000 000 times. So "co pilot" have already permission, but you as a owner have to "log in your account" each time you save some document...ALL THIS IS INSANELY STUPID

Terrible software, convoluted and self contradicting.
To log in, you need to use Microsoft Authenticator, but the problem is that you can't log into Microsoft Authenticator because you need to use Microsoft Authenticator.
Confusing? I know.
A relic of the past
Microsoft 365 is a relic of the past trying to fool us by boasting "new" features. From signing in, to changing your settings, everything involves a convoluted, user-unfriendly process that leads you to dead end pages and multiple errors. Their help page advice is as pointless as their service with explanations that do not reflect reality and which lead to crashing pages and failed log in attempts. I found out that if I wanted a passkey for my account I had to use Safari instead of Chrome to sign in. Too bad that Microsoft365 does not recognise my account when I am using Safari...
The only reason I have ended up using this dinosaur is because my email, which I purchased on GoDaddy, was transferred there despite my wishes. In order to make my life much less miserable, I am probably going to cancel my company subscription and move my entire operations to a different email provider rather than have to deal with this degree of frustrating incompetence on a daily level.

Microsoft have so many different products new and old that itâs out of control even for me, trying to set up a new company email using Microsoft 365 and subscribing to the top tier but itâs a mess. It doesnât work at and completely confusing. I operate a Boeing 777 as a day job so itâs not like I am not tech savvy but Microsoft is a joke. I hope some young tech entrepreneur finally comes up with a no nonsense product

I spent over 24 hours troubleshooting an issue with my Microsoft 365 Family subscription, and it was one of the most frustrating support experiences I've ever had. I was passed between multiple agents, had to repeat my situation over and over, and still didnât get a clear resolution for far too long. For a company as big as Microsoft, I expected much better coordination and efficiency.
While a few of the reps were polite and tried to help, the overall process felt disorganized and exhausting. Something that should have taken maybe an hour dragged on across multiple days. If Microsoft wants people to trust their subscription servicesâespecially ones involving family sharingâthey really need to improve their support systems.

Kundeservice er "ikke eksisterende", da alt virker til at vÊre bots og ai, og ingen af svarende hjÊlper på lige prÊcis dette problem.
Selve softwarepakken er ellers meget spÊndende, men nu har jeg travet rundt i dette problem et par måneder uden at kunne finde en lÞsning på det, så derfor kigger jeg selvfÞlgelig efter andre office-pakke lÞsninger.
