Complete rubbish

Complete rubbish. Transferred to Engage credit from masthaven which we had an arrangement with and they should have honoured this arrangement but did not. They failed to take direct debit money on the correct date and my wife paid by card. We have been trying to change mortgage company but they have put us arrears by three months. Our broker spoke to them about this and they really couldn't care less and wouldn't help in any way. Please do not use this company.

Doubled mortgage payments in 6 months


Doubled mortgage payments in 6 months after I got transferred to them from pepper money,now I’m now in a Iva I am stuck with them paying over 10% in interest and they refuse to put me on a fixed rate mortgage it’s absolutely criminal,from all the poor souls I’ve seen on here I’m amazed we all can’t do something to stop them ruining peoples life’s,surely we deserve help.

I’m a single mum with 3 kids already struggling due to the cost of living. We could lose our home and nobody cares.
Interest rate just keeps going up and up,
absolutely horrific company, keep increasing my monthly payments nearly every two /three months
this needs to stop . You want families to lose their homes

I don't think this is a real company

I don't think this is a real company, just a computer with muppets answering the phone from home, the longest wait for the phone to be answered is 3 hours. Been trying to sort out my mortgage since October 2022, making overpayments and requesting monthly statements, when I finally got through on several occasions to enquire the balance, I was told the payments are in credit and not paid off the capital. Consulted a mortgage advisor to overlook all the correspondence received since Engage took over the mortgage from Kensington, asked for the letter from Kensington advising me that Engage had taken over the mortgage and for Engage Credits T&C's, I haven't received any, I was told this was illegal, sent a letter to Engage in February 2023 to advise a change of name, to date have received no correspondence of this and the account is still in my old name, haven't received a recent statement as requested, however, due to a bank error my last payment didn't go through, within days received a text message to say the payment was overdue, this company needs investigating I've never had a problem with my mortgage, never been in arrears and always made overpayments, with this company the more you pay the interest goes up? Solicitors now instructed.

Joke of a company

No agreeable solution has been reached you still haven’t answered my questions and i am still unable to pay off my mortgage. This just proves what a terrible company you are with this stupid response to my review.

Bleeding people dry!! I’m a single mum now doing two jobs to pay this ridiculous rate I now have on my mortgage. If you email or call they don’t respond. It’s criminal how they treating people already struggling due to the cost of living

Big problems with getting through and getting help

I have waited for hours on the telephone and then no one will allow me access to the account. I am executrix of a will and granted probate but the company although it writes to me, will not speak to me. I have emailed the customer services with the required form.
Today I rang up to find out why there were arrears on the account. I spoke to Sushma who sounded like she was in children's nursery, she did not help me at all, she was not concentrating on the call, she was keen to end the call. She told me to try calling at 9:00 a.m.

A few days later I spoke with a really friendly man from the complaints team. He listened and dealt with everything to my satisfaction.

Do not take a loan out from these people, at least if you want to protect your credit score. I’ve had a mortgage with them for some years, I took it out with Masthaven. Last September they sold their loan book to Engage. Or should I say Pepper UK, who knows!? There was no notification of this. At the time I had a call from my bank asking me if I was happy to set up a direct debit with an outfit called Pepper or Engage (still not sure!), I of course said no having never heard of them. It now turns out that I have not been servicing my mortgage because no direct debit was set up. I have been trying to call Engage to correct this for months. No one ever picks up the phone even after being put on hold for 20 or 30 minutes. I have wasted vast amounts of time and now discover to my horror, in the context of a transaction at work, that my credit score has plummeted. So, through no fault of my own, and because of the sheer incompetence of this outfit, my credit rating and my ability to perform at work have been massively undermined. Be warned! DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM IF YOU VALUE YOUR CREDIT SCORE!

Unexpected service based on reviews

I have to say that whilst there was quite a wait to get through on the phone, a redemption statement was faxed through to me within 2 hours of my call so I cannot fault them based on my own experience.

My morgage has gone up to 9% its doubled and more since Kensington sold it .I can't afford the fees and charges how can they charge what they want they are not lenders this needs to stop .happening..

Just want to speak to someone to talk about paying off my remaining loan, cant ever get through, never reply to emails. When i ring im on hold for 20 mins, hear a beep and then back in the loop. So they do answer and just dump you back in the queue to go around again.

Can’t believe how much my mortgage as


Can’t believe how much my mortgage as gone up since these bandits took over from Kensington mortgages , doubled in less than 6 months , surely this can’t go on , who controls this company ? Doesn’t seem to be any control on the amount it goes up .. my interest rate is now nearly @ 10% 
 I’m not a sub prime mortgage.. totally out of control this company!

I called as i could not get online...

I called as i could not get online - it said my account/i did not exist!!

Turns out that the date of birth on my paperwork was incorrect, even though the person who completed the paperwork completed a document checking my ID.

However, after 30 minutes on the phone, turns out that they have corrected it and i can get an online account.

Thankfully i asked him my balance (as i realised that you cannot do this online).

I have read numerous reviews about slow/delay in settlement figures - which, if is the case is poor.

Perhaps quarterly statements would be an idea - or a settlement figure with the new interest rate/mortgage payment would be an idea.

BUT, based on my call today - service was pleasant and polite.

Robbers at least dick turpin wore a mask my mortgage company passed my account to these ( they also was a nightmare ) I was told I had two account nos when I called to complains they said I had another loan against my mortgage I told them I did not and surly that would be remortgage I told them I will pay my mortgage amount and nothing else as I didn’t have it they said it came from the other mortgage company ( more robbers ) both companies k ow I have medical issues with memory they told me pay both or they will get a wArrent executed I told them that was the other company not there’s I feel bullied and stressed this has been going on for 6 yrs previous to this and now I know why I had a mortgage with my old company over 20 yrs ago for approx 70 thousand pound I have paid some times more and as it stands I owe 121 thousand on mortgage and 27 thousand for a loan that I did not sign for I have a lot of issues with my brain but I can see that does not add up at all I am complaint to resolver and the financial obusmun about this company and I suggest you all join me there is power in numbers this company makes peoples life’s a nightmare and they take advantage of people just trying to get by and give their kids a better life please let’s all complains and get all of our cases looked into and stop people likes this from taking advantage

Total joke I have been calling them since September trying to sort things with them iv sent mail on portal no reply sent letters by special delivery they received it in December and still no reply iv be on hold waiting for them to answer for up to 2.5 hours disgraceful.1 star is the lowest I can go but I’d put 0 .

Absolutely appauling customer service

Absolutely appauling customer service, be prepared to wait at least an hour for them to answer any calls. If dealing with a bereavement as I am they take your stress levels to a whole new level. They keep sending demand letters but won't allow to pay the outstanding balance

just out of hospital after cancer


just out of hospital after cancer surgery.Engage messed up in December. i paid a manual payment in January. Gave them my new bank details to alter the direct debit, should start 07/02/23. nothing come out of my account. staff members could not answer question why D/D has not kicked in.
After cancer surgery told to rest and no stress, but Engage giving me stress every time something they mess up on.
